Actually amazon doesn’t really choose what books are on KU, is the author or publisher that decides to enroll the book on KU for 90 days at the time. And when the book is enrolled it's only available on kindle in the ebook format for those 3 months. As a self-published author is actually helpful because you earn some money for the pages people read. So if someone read 400 pages I get like 2 dollars in royalties. And you get 5 days of free promotion or a countdown deal promotion if you are enrolled. So yeah, you can actually support a lot of self-published authors through KU.
I’m a fairly new subscriber..I got 4 months free on prime day. I am keeping because I love it..I read more than $ 25.00 a month for my $.7.99. I love it! There are lots of good indie authors there.
I also have been offered the same 3 months for free, do you know if you cancel your subscription after the free trial period, if books you have downloaded on to your kindle remain there or do they get deleted?
So kindle unlimited is like a system where you borrow books and if you like them you can buy them for like £3, if you don’t like them you can send them back and get a different one, You don’t have to pay for the book itself unless you really love it and want it, you get the whole book on unlimited?

You won’t be able to listen after you stop your kindle unlimited subscription, it’s kinda like Netflix so if you have the subscription you can listen as much as you like but not if you cancel. If you like audiobooks you could try audible, because with audible you do get to keep the books after you cancel the subscription
You also get to download 10 books at the time, so if you read 10 books and want to read one more, you need to return the book to the KU library. But as long as you have the subscription you can read the book as many times as you want, but I believe the author gets the royalties once, even if you read a page twice, but not 100% sure about that last part.

You can get the online library app for your library also. Mine is Overdrive. You can also request your library to purchase a book for you. My library has a link "still can't find it" you put in your library info, the name, isbn# etc...and they will send you a confirmation that they purchased it. My librarian in my VERY SMALL town told me this and also stated 99% of the time they will purchase it. I have done it several times and within a week or so I have Received a phone call that my book is in.

It’s kind of like Netflix where you can read as much as you want so long as you have the subscription so I think once you cancel there’s a good chance they will disappear from your kindle unless there’s some kind of loophole! If you haven’t already maybe try a free trial and test it out?

Apple wanted to take a cut from sales on the Kindle app so Amazon removed the ability to buy books on it. You have to do it on a computer browser or on a Kindle device.
I might be a bit late but .... if you have an apple Iphone it stops you buying a book via the app. I believe it's something to do with apple not getting a cut

Hi Sanidhya, I would say it depends on how many e-books you read, if you read quite a lot and you’re not super picky about what you read them definitely but if you read less often and want specific books they might not have them on kindle unlimited so in that case I’d say no

There is a loophole basically before it ends you switch the device to air plane Mode or wifi/mobile data switched off

You must use a web browser to buy a book from Amazon and not the app. Dumb I know but that’s the solution.
