Top band in the world 1973. More lps sold and gate receipts any other band that year. 130 million lps sold. Ritchie Blackmore top 3 in the world. Jon Lord best rip. Coverdale Hughes and Pace top musicians. Deep Purple.
quite rightfully impressed with Glenn Hughes' vocals, he's still a beast today
I only wished he never did he's falsetto oh's and ah's though. And he still does annoying thing.
So true
can't stand Glenn's annoying voice. Sorry. He works best when he sings harmonies.
@@michaelkarlsson5966 Glenn are the best singer today.
My first ever concert was Deep Purple at Hammersmith Odeon in 1974. It was so loud, the guitar hurt my ears and the bass hurt my chest… and we were in the back row.
I still listen to a lot of music. Heavy metal is my favorite. But, Deep Purple is what I listen to more than all the rest combined. lol. I continue to this day enjoying Blackmore more than any other guitarist.
70‘s Blackmore was out of this World
Richie was able to use many different scale styles and put them in one song. I don't think anybody else was doing that at least not during those times. Thank you for the reaction Rebeka, as usual I enjoyed it
Thank you!✨
By 1973, Purple had become the biggest band around. That's Glenn Hughes with the high voice. This is actually one of Blackmore's last performances before he left to form the trailblazing Rainbow. Great performance and enjoyed the reaction!
Not sure why people edit live versions and butcher the sound.
Thank you!✨
Great, another Purple reaction. Who could not to love this band, regardless if it is a MK II or MK III Line Up?.Everybody does, all of us fell in love with the band many, many years ago. You`re the most lovely member of the family fans as well, baby girl. Cheers, take care.
Thank you!✨
DEEP PURPLE EN VIVO ERAN IMBATIBLES, ENERGÍA, VELOCIDAD, HARMONÍA,ÚNICOS Y ÉPICOS!!! LARGA VIDA A PURPLEMANIA!!
Thanks Rebeka for a great live performance by Deep Purple. For me the number one
rock band from this time. Burn as well now as then.
my wife of 46 years and i saw them in 1974 when we first starting dating. I had seen them in 1972 with Mach ll with child in time the encore. This was music that replace beetles, and other 60's bands, some great but then Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin hi the scene rock exploded !!!!!!!
... Ian Paice, an absolute legend on drums!! … UNBELIEVABLE GOOD!! And he's still playing! 🔥🥁🔥🥁🔥👍🏻
I saw Glenn Hughes recently and he can still bring it. Thanks for your reaction video!
Thank you.✨
The guitar solo is insanely good
Thanks very much Rebeka, Burn it's one of my favorite song from Deep Purple, I think the best they have produced in 1973, and Richie Blackmore, considered the best guitar player of all times, who really formed the band on the 70's, great producción, I love it so much, this Record is live Made in Europe where they played this extraordinary song, 1975
Thank you.✨
This is not Live in London, this is not Made in Europe.
This is a completely different version of the song Burn.
RITCHIE blackmore is Tremendous on guitar as is this band ...THROUGH the Roof Good
The lead guitarist was Ritchie Blackmore. When he left the group he formed a band called Rainbow. To sing vocals for Rainbow Blackmore got Ronnie James Dio. You should check them out. I suggest you start with "Man on the Silver Mountain".
Another great band from the good ole days! Had all their albums! Rock it Baby! 😍
Thank you.✨
DEEP PURPLE ES INMENSO NO PUEDO PARAR DE EMOCIONARME CON ESTOS GIGANTES DEL ROCK!!!!❤🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸🎸🎸
La più grande rock band in assoluto. Po ritchie blackmore number 1
A beast of an iconic band from bygone days yet made an indelible impression with their dynamic monstrous sound. One of the best bands ever in any age. Thx Rebeka, you did a superb reaction. Burn baby Burn :)
Thank you.✨
Another great reaction Rebeka. Deep Purple is definitely one of my favorite bands. This era of the band was amazing.
Thank you.✨
Glenn Hughes screams almost like Ian Gillan those days. I have a Deep Purple - Live in London lp-record which was released 1982 but that is from the different concert, it is from their Gaument State Theatre Kilburn concert. Probably from the same tour I guess.
Hughes is a far cry from Gillan, voice wise!
💚You'd never notice unless you had all the CDs / bootlegs, but someone has expertly woven together a version of Burn from Kilbum '74 and Paris '75, set to visuals from Hammersmith '74 - and there may be parts from other sets, like Cal Jam '74. As I said, someone did an expert job. Now that Lewisham '74's available, you could make a triple set of all the London '74 shows.💙
You're right. The description on this particular video is a compilation of several concerts. And the Paris concert was released as the massively edited Made in Europe album (as far as I know). Even so, it's still one of my favorite Deep Purple albums. This person also has a concert video of Deep Purple in Japan (1975 Come Taste the Band Tour). The audio doesn't quite match up the video but it's apparently the only decent concert footage of them with this lineup (Tommy Bolin).
@@jamesharper3933: Am with you 100% on Made in Europe - what a brilliant album. But apparently most of it comes from Saarbrucken, with Graz and Paris parts included too. Blackmore's frantic second solo in You Fool No One is definitely from Paris. Why more from Saarbrucken hasn't been released, I don't know. Re. Mk4, I think I've seen that video. Some of the best bootlegs are from Australia and New Zealand, as Wild Dogs was still in the set. Peace!
Angus young heard this song and then created 1.000 different versions: The complete discography of AC DC. Guitar rifff + Drums
and Ritchie borrowed it from Gerschwin "Fascinating Rhythm" :)
One of the best Rock songs ever.Richie kills it with his solo and is backed up by Jon Lord's organ solo and Ian Paice's thumping time keeping.
They're genius, I can't think about them.
Very - very genius
Fantastic reaction Rebeka - so beautifully dissected and explained. It's a classic track and one of the best as a show opener! The "Live in London '74" album was a pretty awesome one, considering they were a new set-up - I remember hearing it live on the radio back in 1974 and it's still one of my favourites! If you enjoyed the guitar work on this one then I would suggest having a listen to "You Fool No One (Live in London)" as Ritchie was on fire that night and created an unbelievable piece of improvisation - followed by an amazing solo. The track is a little long as there is also a drum solo to finish it off - but well worth a listen!
Thank you!✨
Amazing as always!
You perk up at the highlights of the performance. Glenn screaming out to end the verse, Blackmore's Witt on his intro. Glad to see you enjoyed the band at their top game.
Love this song. Thanks for reacting Rebeka!
Thank you.✨
Richie Blackmore on guitar
Deep Purple is t he great band in the world!!!!!
Hi beautiful I was 13 when this was recorded seeing your beautiful face always makes my day brighter
Hi Rebeka, here are a couple of fun facts for you. The sound during Deep Purple‘s '72 concert at London's Rainbow Theatre hit 117 decibels. I've read it was so loud that three people in the audience became unconscious from the noise. The current world record holders are supposedly Kiss, who reached a 136 decibels during a concert in Canada in '09. Their name was inspired by a1933 song of the same name composed by Peter DeRose, which was the favorite song of Ritchie Blackmore‘s grandmother.
Thank you!✨
That was just Gene Simmons Ego breaking the sound barrier not their Music.
Thanks for the trip on memory lane. Awesome video. Great reaction. Greetings from 🇮🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺
Thank you!✨
This song is a 6 minute drum solo from Ian Paice. Stunning and often not recognised
Glenn Hughes (bass) was in Deep Purple from 1974 to 1976... he is a lead singer as well in the 70's band Trapeze. He struggled for years w/ drug and alcohol abuse after '76, but eventually recovered and has been busy w/ solo albums... numerous projects like Black Country Communion (w/ guitarist Joe Bonamassa), etc.
In 1986, Glenn Hughes did lead vocals for 1 Black Sabbath album ('Seventh Star') which was great... but his addictions got him ousted soon after for poor live performances.
What else to say about such an amazing performance like this one? When it's said that Deep Purple was by the 70's and is one of the most important bands in Rock History, this is what we're talking about!
Regarding to the guitar, I agree with you, for Ritchie Blackmore is one of the greatest guitarists ever!!!
But, excuse me, it's nearly a crime analysing this video and not saying anything about one more great, awesome performance of one of the greatest keyboardists in Rock History, Jon Lord! (R.I.P.)! And, if you want suggestions of Deep Purple's songs to react to: "Strange kind of woman"; "Wasted sunsets"; "Perfect Strangers" (official music video); "Knocking at your back door".
As far as I remember, it seems to me you've already reacted to "Smoke on the water".
Them and Janice Joplin were the jaw droppers of the 1970's especially blues. No one else came close. Great choice and thanks.
Thank you!✨
Janis Joplin died October, 1970. She became famous at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967.
Thanks for share Deep Purple Burn, Rebeka! You're amazing (from Sao Paulo, Brazil)
Thank you!✨
Ritchie F'n Blackmore .... GOAT. You have done other reactions with Ritchie Blackmore / Rainbow (Temple of the King, Catch the Rainbow, and Man on the Silver Mountain). You still haven't finished Part 2 of Catch the Rainbow, but most of it is a Solo from Ritchie)
You should listen to fools live at Monterey jazz festival 2000 ...
This album burn was the fastest rock in the 70s jon Lord Ritchie and new vocal David Coverdale what a combination
Il chitarrista era uno solo, Ritchie Blackmore, la voce che senti era del bassista Glenn Hughes....❤
David Coverdale later was the lead vocalist for Whitesnake.
Purple at their prime. What else could be better?
Way 2 go, Becks. Keep it up.
Thank you.✨
Burnnnn 🔥🔥
Hi Rebecca well I wouldn't put this on my playlist. But yes I did find the guitar playing pretty cool.
Always good to see you Rebecca.
Man, this song could last forever to me, awesome ! I always enjoy seeing your notifications, wondering what song I will be treated with by you, thanks dear !
Thank you.✨
My suggestion would be Gypsy Queen by April wine, the live version if you can find it.
Rebeka quanto 6⃣ bella poi il fatto che ti piacciono i depp purple sei ancora più bella
Hi Rebeka . Thank you much for reacting to the brilliant Deep
Purple. I have been a fan since 1969. This track was the title track of the first album with Dave Coverdale and Glenn Hughes replacing Ian Gillan and Roger Glover. Like many fans I was a bit worried who was going to replace the iconic Ian Gillan and Roger Glover....but all my worries were unfounded. I was blown away hearing Burn for this first time in 1974....and still am today.
Thank you so much for all your reactions Rebeka. Keep on rocking. Peace and love from Liverpool UK 👍✌️🤘☮️
saw that line up in 1974 Newcastle Odean mk 2 purple 1972 both were awsome gigs
Ciao Gorgeous Rebeka great Deep Purple, fantastic voice by Tommy Bolin R.I.P.
Tommy was the guitarist who replaced Blackmore, this was Coverdale and Hughes
You're right... Sorry@@philroach9402
David Coverdale still has that shirt, by the way 🤘😆
Rebecka, Do you love the Jon Lord keyboard and tricky live performance job? Check out please, to react in the tune "Love Child", at the Bodokan, Japan, December 1975. Is a Jam, killer footage. The song belongs to a 1975 last band`s studio album "Come and Taste the Band". Amazing, in my humble opinion. Take care once again and thanks for videos.
Thank you!✨
Great choice! Glenn can really pierce the sky with those high notes, and the guitars always rock the house...but if you are interested in something mellow and dark with the same title, try Burn by The Cure...It's from the movie soundtrack to The Crow...a gothic 90's comic book adaptation starring Brandon Lee, the son of Bruce Lee...who also tragically died on the set when a dummy handgun round (a bullet without any gunpowder, used for camera shots of a loaded gun) had the bullet tip lodge in the gun, then when the gun was fired with a blank round (Gunpowder but no bullet), it projected the stuck bullet into Brandon's chest and killed him (At least as far as we know)...it's a crazy story, and The Cure's, Burn is basically the movie's theme song...
Oh Rebeka!!! id forgotten how good they were! another great English rock band, Richie Blackmore was the lead guitarist, and David Coverdale on vocals. Thanks Rebeka
Very nice. Thanks
I had the Burn album on 8-track back in 1973! LOL! They didn't miss a beat after changing the bass player & lead singer. Trapeze missed Glenn Hughes! David Coverdale, the lead singer, went on to form Whitesnake. Nice to see you enjoying music I have for 5 decades! Ritchie Blackmore is the guitar player. Glenn Hughes, the bass player sang the really high parts!
Thank you!✨
You clever old time traveller 😉😊
Lady double dealer live is so wonderfull good
I like Deep Purple a lot, Isa good choice, brilliant reaction, thankyou!
Please react to Fleetwood mac, SilverSprings Soon?
Thanks. Luv you❤❤
imagine my reaction to this song 35+ years ago ... sadly no footage of my first reaction available, as I was sitting alone in my room next to my vinyl-stereo-player many, many years before I got my first computer an access to internet! *rofl But it was kind of similiar or kind of mind-blowing! ^^+gg XD
Ritchie Blackmore - you have reacted to his work in Rainbow too
Yes, that I remember.✨
Hey Rebeka! How are you? BURN!! Great song!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😎
Coverdale - of WhiteSnake - is singing now - but Glenn is my favorite ...
Understood. Thank you so much for info.✨
Hear on the turning away live 1988 pink floyd😊

You certainly can swing your hair to rock..into the fire live 1970..Ian Gillan at his rawest.
Top du top 👌👌👌🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
React to the official live video 2023, it's absolutely rocks!
Ian Paice kicking up a strom om drums.
❤
If you have not done it already, you HAVE to listen to STARGAZER with Rithcie Blackmore's Rainbow!!!
That will blow you away!!!!!!!!! :)
Wow, a better version than the 1974 California one:)
A great song by deep purple mark III. Purple almost never is recognized as one of the greatest. The holy trilogy of the early 70's
Zeppelin. More bluesy.folk and rock/hard rock
Purple hard rock oriented a bit like to progressive/hard rock but heavy too
Sabbath more obscure/datk/thick totally different styles of music
You should react to the performance at California Jam 1974. There is a video in much better quality.
None of the videos sound as good as the Made in Europe remaster though.
Ritchie Blackmore or Blackers
Check out Glen's early band "Trapeze - Meduza album" You'll never regret at all.
Look up 'Come Hell or High Water'.
If you haven't, listen to the studio version.
Hi Rebeca!!!
Another great reaction!!
The first things I want to tell you are...Hold!! Do not change!! Keep It up!!!!
I tell you this because I am sadly watching many reaction channels disappear on YT, and I hope that your channel stays alive for a long time and that it grows, more, more and more.
I have been following you for some time but I have never written to you because: (1) I am quite shy with people I don't know, and (2) I have little time, but today I decided y (3) my english smells like a dead ratt inside a dead cat. Horrible !!
I have been following you for some time but I have never written to you because: (1) I am quite shy with people I don't know, and (2) I have little time, and (3) muy english smells like a dead ratt inside a dead cat.
First, I have to tell you that my favorite musical genres are HARD ROCK/METAL and CLASSICAL MUSIC.
Well, I wanted to make you a recommendation:
Since you are very young, I want to recommend a song from 1985 (I'm sure that in that year you weren't even a little person project). I'll tell you a little bit:
HEAR N'AID - "STARS"
The Hear n' Aid project was metal's response to pop music charities such as Band Aid and USA For Africa; whose organizers had not invited anyone from hard rock/metal (as alppears like this (and you can check it by watching the video)
Hear n' Aid was founded in 1985 by Ronnie James Dio, a long-time contributor to numerous charitable projects over the years. Hear n' Aid didn't get much media coverage and didn't achieve box office sales like Band Aid or USA for Africa, but it generated a respectable amount of revenue.
Ronnie James Dio (Dio/Black Sabbath/Rainbow/Elf), Jimmy Bain (Dio/Rainbow) and Vivian Campbell (Dio/Def Leppard) were responsibles for writing "Stars", the single originally written that would help generate income for the hunger.
In May 1985, Dio gathered more than 40 hard rock/metal musicians from around the world, and they recorded the song "Stars."
The following is a list of lead vocals:
Ronnie James Dio: from Dio
Dave Meniketti: from Y&T (Yesterday & Today)
Rob Halford: from Judas Priest
Kevin Dubrow: from Quiet Riot
Eric Bloom: from Blue Oyster Cult
Paul Shortino: from Rough Cutt
Geoff Tate: from Queensryche
Don Dokken: from Dokken
The highlight, for me, is the guitar solo, which consists of 7 chained guitar solos, in turn divided into several parts, but perfectly united so that it almost seems like a single solo. The transitions are perfect. And, although it is quite long, I am sure it will stay in your head.
GUITAR SOLOS:
- 1st solo in 4 parts: Craig Goldy/Eddie Ojeda/Craig Goldy/Eddie Ojeda (from the bands Giuffria/Twisted Sister)
- 2nd solo in 3 parts: Vivian Campbell/Brad Gillis/Vivian Campbell (from the bands Dio/Night Ranger)
- 3rd solo in 3 parts: Neal Schon/George Lynch/Neal Schon (from the bands Journey/Dokken)
- 4th solo in 3 parts: Yngwie Malmsteen/Vivian Campbell/ Yngwie Malmsteen (from the bands Yngwie Malmsteen/ Dio)
- 5th solo in 4 parts: George Lynch/Carlos Cavazo/George Lynch/Carlos Cavazo (from the bands Dokken/Quiet Riot)
- 6th solo in 2 parts: Brad Gillis, Craig Goldy (from the bands Night Ranger, Giuffria)
- 7th solo: Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser (from the band Blue Oyster Cult) Last solo and Outro of this part.
All of the melodic guitars (or rhythm guitars) lines were performed by Adrian Smith and Dave Murray (both from Iron Maiden).
Bass: Jimmy Bain (from Dio)
Drums: Vinny Appice (from Dio)
Keyboards: Claude Schnell (from Dio)
This song has the great advantage that, by having numerous singers and guitarists, all of them of very high level, it will allow you to decide if any of them deserve to be heard with their respective bands. This is the song that I always recommend to get started in the world of hard rock/metal.
REACT OR NOT REACT, THAT IS THE QUESTION....😊
If you decide to react to this recommendation,...just....WoW!!!
I hope you like it as much as I do.
But if you decide not to react, I will understand, cause you must receive thousands of recomendations and not everything can be addressed. And I will continue being a subscriber to your Channel and giving you likes, whatever you decide. It is a recommendation, not an order. There are people who get very angry when their suggestion is not heeded. Your Channel, your rules. No one has to tell you what to do and what not to do.
Anyway, if you decide not to react, I highly recommend that you listen to this song in private, just for yourself, because I really think you will like it.
Make sure you get a correct link. My favorite is this one below:
ua-cam.com/video/xl15Wj2MwUw/v-deo.htmlsi=rvza6yPHdLXSzyRm
...although the list of lead guitars is divided incorrectly in the video. Trust the list I gave you above because I have an original vinyl and it appears like this (and you can check it by watching the video)
CONCLUSION:
This song is a "kind of summary" of the hard rock/metal of the first half of the 80s
Greetings from Spain!
(Wow, if I write to you again I will try to be much shorter, since this looks like the complete works of Shakespeare....)
Thank you!✨
Aren't they terrific??!!🎸🎹🔥
en el LP made in europe live 76' este tema lo tocan mucho mejor
Paicey ! 5:26
Personally I dont think of them as the proper Deep Purple without Ian Gillan.
Burn….The last good album DP made….they went down hill from there on!
This set up of Deep purple is saved by the fact that Glenn Hughes on bass helps David on the highest notes 😎🇧🇻 Ian Gillan did not need help 😋 And then came Ritchie Blackmores Rainbow with Dio 😈🇧🇻
Guitarist was Ritchie Blackmore and he's scary good player. Bassist was Glenn Hughes and his were the high pitched vocals. He thought he would be the lead vocalist and bass player as he had been in his previous band Trapeze. Ritchie wanted a slightly deeper bluesier more masculine sounding voice, which is why they hired unknown singer David Coverdale. Plus Ritchie didn't want Deep Purple to just be a quartet. They'd always had a lead singer, bass player, keyboardist, drummer, and lead guitarist. Great a voice as Glenn Hughes has? Deep Purple was and always has been a five piece band. Ritchie was the one behind keeping drummer Ian Paice from being a double kick drummer, except on the song Fireball when singer Ian Gillan was still in the band. (Ironic, considering that when Ritchie Formed Rainbow? Except for their debut album, every drummer for Rainbow was a double kick drummer. Go figure.)
Lastima que en ese concierto la ACUSTICA NO LOS ACOMPAÑO , los instrumentos no se escuchaban en toda su magnitud
