looked like you hit the lock and disengaged it, both times it unlocked it seemed like the hammer lined up with the lock just right. More testing is needed.
Love the Tri-Ad because it gives you the convenience of a folder but in the unlikely event that you have to something a little more dangerous a little more harder, it can take the abuse.
Carry a Prolite almost everyday to work and 4116 isn’t the best steel but it is no slouch. And to get a great edge back on it takes no time at all unless I really put a hurting it.
i have personally had at least 1 folder break made of GFN, i was opening stuff on christmas and dropped it 3 feet onto my wood panel floor and it broke a whole corner off. so i stick with g10 always
I'm not worried about gfn or frn or whatever fancy plastic breaking on me, it's sturdy stuff. Personally I just generally don't care for the feel of most of them. I'll take a well textured gfn/frn over a slick steel or ti handle though.
If you slow it down it only "failed" when the hammer hit the lock disengagement bar. Overall pretty impressive for a $30 knife. What steel is that? 4116?
Hi Mr Slash. I was waiting for a long time for them to release the engage but when they finally did I had spent my budget on a Demco 20.5 , which I love and am so glad I did . Then I passed over the engage for a desert tan scaled 4Max Scout , which I also love and glad I did . Recently I bought a SRK C , C for compact which I also love but I didn't really pass over the Engage for the compact just worked out that way . Now I think I might pass over the Engage again for the verdict , I now have barely any interest in the premium Engage and between the small 4116 Engage and the Verdict im definitely more interested in the Verdict. Maybe I'll get both? Or maybe two Verdicts , the clip point and drop point . I do want to get another SRK Compact and I have also wanted a plain edge Spartan which I have seen back in stock at certain retailers. I only have two smaller CS Knives the Micro Recon and the Grik so the Verdict or the Mini Recon would be awesome. Decisions , decisions, well any how thanks for another great video . Thanks

Sounds good.

Exactly.

The Tri-Ad lock appears to be the Captain Scarlet of knife locks and I mean the one from 1967.
Congratulations on 9k+ subs! Also, excellent video as always!
Thank you very much! :) Always cool to hear from you.
Clickbaited me! And then I watched the whole video and liked it. You win Josh. Especially enjoyed the beard close-up rustling in the wind.
Lol! Thank you! Good to hear from you. :)
Just bought a black clip point version.Cant wait for it to get here,
Definitely took a beating. Great video 👍

I just ordered one of these in the drop point. When it gets here it will be the 41st Cold Steel that I own!
Very nice!

That makes sense. Feel is one thing. Strength is another. :)
Nice video Mr Jimmy. Tri ad lock is one of the best
Agreed!
Pretty good for a budget knife
Turning a $30 budget knife into a really expensive nail
Say it isn’t so! Love that knife!!
I have the Pro Lite Sport, I use it for many accations but will never ever baton a non fixed blade. Just my opinion....
Congrats on 9k. Interesting little knife for the price. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Thank you!
None of My Demko Tri-Ads have EVER Done That , Could it be that these New "G.S.M." Tri-Ads are Not Made with the same High Quality .🤢🤮
I hit the disengage portion of the lock with the mallet. The quality is fine.
If you had a box full of knives, you could build a house with them 😃
You, my friend, are not so much a man, but a force of nature.
Lol, thank you!
THE BOYE DENT, NEEDED, JUST SAY'N
I'd trust that $30 knife way more than a $400 benchmade
Yep. Me too.

Yes, 4116.
@@Jimislash Thnx👍
Good testing on a strong knife. 👍

:) I understand.
Not to shabby!
I think that’s the best advice I ever got from a UA-cam video @4:33 😅
Anyways, go get your commission from Cold Steel, you just sold me a knife👍👍
😀
That’s a durable knife!
If you consider hitting the triad with the mallet a "failure" it sure failed. :) Pretty impressive if you ask me.
Yeah, it did great! :)
Holy hammer time Slash
How would you compare these with an Ontario Rat 2? These are $50 vs the Rat 2 is $35.
The Rat is great. But you can't beat the Triad lock on a folder. Either way, you have a good blade.
I know I'm late on this but clearly you are hitting the lock and disengaging it.
Yeah, I kept messing up.
Great video Mr. Slash as always 👍 👌 👏
Thank you!
You convinced me Josh 🤣😂
No Foolies! 😆
Cheapest I see online anywhere is $43
Oh, it won't be for long. These go down pretty quickly. Did you enter the giveaway? I am giving one away.
More testing definitely needed for that. But for how cheap it is, I'm going to say it's still a bargain
It held up. The mallet hit the lock release several times.
@@Jimislash that's dope af
How do you manage to look like a big sweetie while hammering away at a knife stuck in a piece of wood like a calm maniac? 🤗😁
:)
Jimi how are you brother was gone for 4 months but I was released so I be trying get caught up on vids
Doing good. Where were you?
i dont think you broke it jimmy - i think the malet hit the back lock button as you were pushing down and it popped open - not really a fail
Exactly. :)
The pricing on the new line have just ruined it all for me the verdict is £95.95 and one of the 3.5 engage is £323.95 absolute joke 😑
New stuff always comes out high. It'll settle.
Why are you battoning with a folder?....
People want to know stuff. :)
They’re $50-$60
В конпку попал.
The verdict is in, Cold Steel for the win!
Yes!
Get It Jimmy, hit that Triad. LordDemko4Life 👍👍🇺🇸🔪🧻
