I used #JDiction 4 Hour Demold Epoxy Resin along with #LetsResin White Polyurethane, and #SpecialtyResin Pro Black Polyurethane #Resin. The shells fragments I used are from Laur's Art Corner. Here is the link to those:

In hindsight, the white one would have turned out better if I had used the HTV Ront pigment in epoxy as the second layer to seal the shells, with the white polyurethane behind it. Hmmm…I may try it again that way. Oh, well. We live and learn, right? Thanks for watching, and please like and subscribe to help me build my channel. 🤗

Thank you so much. They are larger than the average trinket tray, but can be used as such. The roundish one is about 7 1/2 inches, and the larger one is about 9 1/2 inches long. Thanks for the compliment on the colors. 😁💙💜💚

They are both beautiful… but the white one is my favourite! May I ask why you used the resin tape around the edge of the mould?
And, did you say you were not going to work with resin anymore? Again, May I ask why? Please feel free to not answer if you think I’m being too personal, but I am just interested. ☺️

Hi Nat in Australia. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thanks so much for watching and for the compliment. 😁 I’d be glad to answer your questions. I had to use the resin tape around the edge of the molds because they cured unevenly and had to build the sides up to pour extra resin, the polyurethane, to make them flat underneath. The molds are shallow, and I added too much either the first time or the second time when Input the shells in. They got filled too much on one end on both of them. I was using a levelling table, but I think the patio table outside shifted. As for using resin, I will be stopping using epoxy resin once I use up my existing supply. This is for two reasons. First reason being it is too expensive for me. Second, my house is too small to use epoxy resin in because I have two family members working from home can’t let resin sit for hours to cure. Because of this I have to pour and cure outside, going down steps onto my deck. It’s all too much for me to go up and down hauling all the equipment and supplies, and wearing a respirator in the heat is beyond what I can bear. Hence I’ll be staying with UV resin and polyurethane inside where I can just make sure the family doesn’t come out while I’m working for that short time. If we had a bigger house where I could have a dedicated craft room things would be a lot easier for me, but we don’t so I’m making do with what I have. Thanks for your interest, Nat. Stay well. 🤗

Hi. I only posted an in-depth reason in my Community page. I have to because of two reasons. First is expense. I can no longer afford to buy epoxy resin. Two is location. I have family members who work from home in our really small house, so can’t expose them to the fumes. That means I have to haul supplies and filming equipment outside down steps to the deck, then back up when done. This takes too much out of me. I have to depend on weather and mowers, etc. Also it gets really hot here and wearing a respirator outside is suffocating. So, I’m dropping epoxy resin. 😕
