Balance 4 stars design ehh 3 stars. I might have added a star if high amounts of forehead showing weren't so prevalent in the meta, but currently as is I have to keep it at 3.
I think the five star design rating on millhouse is wrong because blizzard stated that they didn’t want the player to be able to gain 11 mana. The coin for example can’t get the player above ten mana for that reason.
Absolutely nothing is going to happen at Blizzcon beyond beefed up security due to people threatening to shoot up the place over fucking video games, people are stupid and all the internet warriors sure as hell can't afford to show up because they're too busy dwelling in their mothers basement refusing to get a job.
Maybe? It would make it so you couldn't trade and heal. Would make it a little more situasional, but you could just lock down minionbased decks with a powerfull taunt tho.
Yes. Probably still not balanced enough (still has the problem of some decks literally being unable to stop it), but definitely more balanced when you can't do the 'swing&heal' without giving the enemy time to capitalize on your temporary lower health.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that card text just Stoneskin Gargoyle from Nax? Where it looked to be valued as a 1 mana effect anyway? Before half a decade of power creep?
@@DemonMankeyMan Stoneskin gargoyle was a much smaller minion for the purposes of this effect, only having 1 attack and 4 health is a lot less oppressive to the opponent than if it was on a large taunt minion.
Maybe if it wasn't 0 Mana. Or said it cost x more if it targets a minion with taunt or 6 and up health. Or maybe it restores a certain amount so put it on a 2/10 with taunt and then end of turn it restores 4 or 5 health so if you deal more then 4 or 5 you can kill it
There are a lot of problems with Millhouse the Magnificent. First, wouldn't Millhouse the Magnificent mess around with the Board Design of the Mana Crystals? If the "bounding box" for 10 mana wasn't altered, how else would you represent 11 mana crystals? A VERY Dangerous application of this is due to how it is currently worded: Does it ramp you up to 11 mana crystals, or does it simply allow you to gain an 11th mana crystal after 10 mana? Does the effect remain active if Mojomaster Zihi is played or would Zihi return your maximum mana back to 10? Would "Wild Growth" ramp you to 11 mana at 10 mana, give you an "Excess Mana" card, or both?
Discards a card, possibly the card with which you might combo to kill the oponent, and you can only put two in your deck. Now yeah, one less damage, put potentially a lot of lackeys casting lightning bolt twice with the hero power, plus your own two lightning bolts, ew.

Drink the Moonlight (Trump's Version) Restore 5 Health. Excess healing is returned to your hand. Unfortunately, this only makes it more confusing. Am I getting the whole spell back? Or am I just getting the extra 2 or 3 health I didn't use? Millhouse the Magnificent: So... Trump has (in the past) docked stars on Design for cards that required the base game visuals to be updated. How would you show that your maximum mana was now 11 in terms of crystals? The original mana bar doesn't have that many slots. Do you switch over from a 10-mana bar to an 11-mana bar? He still gives it 5 stars on design. Mindburglar: Same case as Millhouse the Magnificent. It would require a UI and graphics update to even process for specifically this one card. Additionally, how would this card's ability interact with: Maiden of the Lake, Raza the Unchained, Waterboy, Justicar Trueheart, Auctionmaster Beardo, Garrison Commander, and Sir Finley Mrrgglton. Do your card's abilities also affect their hero power as well? Could you forcefully change your opponent's hero power? If so, you could basically nullify Death Knight hero powers with Mindburglar and Sir Finley. Two card combo defeats an entire archetype. Lot to unpack here that stayed packed.
IS drink the moonlight not a 1 card combo with any "When you cast a spell" cards since if you just target a creature that is not damaged you get it back to your hand without any loss and gain the trigger from whatever you have? Like Gadgetzan.
Qatra never says it adds the lackey to your hand. As is, it just adds it to your lackey pool. Just like elysiana says "Battlecry: Discover 5 cards. Replace your deck with 2 copies of each". Elysiana doesn't give you cards in hand and nether does Qatra.
warptens this due to the fact that discover is worded quite weirdly in hs. If it is just discover, then you get that card. If it is discover and then something, then you do not get it into your hand. If it is discover and then something with “also” in between, then you add that card and do the additional action. So the card should have “also” added.
Resting ground: Begin of the turn might be better. For one, it doesn't get healed immediately, so if used on a damaged minion, it will likely be removed without getting benefit. For another, it means that if you use the minion to trade on your turn, it will be easier to remove on your opponent's turn. The concern here is that this would make prepping for inner fire turn better. You might not want to potentially waste an inner fire on a minion still in fatigue, now the opponent don't have the option to weaken the minion for potential next turn inner fire.
For "Hi, Insect" I think it should be changed to "choice include 1 legendary elemental when previous turn played elemental". Because other legendary elementals also include "insect" in their quotes, such as Ragnaros Lightlord, Alakir Windlord; although it *WOULD* make this card too strong...
When talking about Resting Grounds you completely neglected to mention Stoneskin Gargoyle, which never saw competitive play even in priest decks. Thug has 2 more attack and 1 more health to only heal for 2, but the cards in Rumble were also generally weak. Also, Pet Cemetary isn't really scary at 4 health, because it still has 0 attack. You pointed out that it works with Unleash; so does Spirit, and how many hunters are going around running that? 0 attack cards are generally weak, you can't play it on curve because you risk getting no value out of it, but you want to play it on curve because you're playing hunter. Ultimately, it would be just another of the many hunter cards that looks really good on paper, but just isn't ever strong enough in practical application.

A cool "Buff" that will also be a nerf is making Decrepit projectionist "can't be targeted by spells or hero powers" making him stronger vs single target removal and not letting you evolve him
Hi Insect is more balanced than it appears. If you’re behind or in a spot where Ragnaros isn’t what you need, if you’ve played an elemental the last turn then you’ve only got a choice of two cards.
The projectionist would be dope if the 0/1 had cannot be targeted by spells and hero powers, makes it not instantly lose vs mage etc. But doesn't allow evolve combos without dumb silence plays, yet allows normal evolve which may ruin the 5/6!
Main reason is that he is too versatile. He is: 1. Permanently available in the classic set if not Hall of Famed. 2. Goes into a lot of deck, aggro in fringe cases, midrange and control can use a big minion which deals a significant damage either to close out games or kill a minion.
Because Blizz doesn’t want auto-include neutral cards in the classic set. Though Ragnaros was never super OP, he was a no-brainer pick for a lot of archetypes. It is good to see him back though :)
Would Spell Immunity that lasts 1 turn make Decrepit Projectionist bit better? It would prevent Mage class countering 4 mana minion with their 2 mana Hero Power but would also prevent Mutate spell from being used on first turn when played. If they wanted to prevent Astral Bruiser from being destroyed via Deathrattle, they would have to use minion based targeted Battlecry or use Evolve like spell/ability, changing Astral Bruiser as well.
Just wanted to point out that the idea of a lackey casting two Lightning Bolts from Dark Lady Quatra is somehow more scary to Trump than the idea of one casting Soulfire or The Soularium while also being a 4/4.
Personally I thought pet cemetery was too weak, I mean maybe it would be pretty good in quest hunter but the meta at the moment is big decks such as ressurect priest and relying on small beasts dying is simply not going to see play
I have an idea for resting grounds card, what if it said "Replace Target friendly minions text with "Can't attack, at the start of your opponents turn restore this minion to full health"" I realize that's a lot of text but I think it would be better than the original since it would make the card lose some strong effects like obsidian statue.
Control decks aren't based around tempo and don't NEED mana unless they're trying to play a high cost card. Being able to use 11 mana wouldn't be worth putting a 5 mana 4/4 in a control deck. More mana doesn't help you outvalue other controls and more mana once you get to turn 11 doesn't help you out tempo aggro decks.
Resting grounds: Twinspell. Give a minion "At the end of your turn, restore 3 health to this minion." (or you could do restore 3 or 4 health to any friendly character) at one mana cost. It can be beat better than the og resting grounds and its better balanced
I did a doubletake on millhouse the magnificient. On first reading it seems like neutral ramp (hilariously OP neutral ramp), but I'm guessing the author probably clarified that it doesn't ramp you. Still would have been good if Trump clarified this.
Maybe the resting grounds could be any healing restores this minion to full health so you need to always put your hero power or some other resorse to keep it alive
‘Quatra is too strong in Shaman with Lightning Bolt. Make it a Warlock card.’ Because Warlock doesn’t have a 1-cost direct damage spell that deals more than Lightning Bolt...

I feel like if Decrepit Projectionist was also 'cannot be targeted by hero abilities and spells' would be good
Personally I thought pet cemetery was too weak, I mean maybe it would be pretty good in quest hunter but the meta at the moment is big decks such as ressurect priest and relying on small beasts dying is simply not going to see play
If Blackseed turns out to be weak they can just buff its health.
I have an idea for resting grounds card, what if it said "Replace Target friendly minions text with "Can't attack, at the start of your opponents turn restore this minion to full health"" I realize that's a lot of text but I think it would be better than the original since it would make the card lose some strong effects like obsidian statue.
Didn’t Trump dock another “bonus mana crystal card” points on the basis of how it’d be shown in game?
Why did you put the neutral background behind Mindburglar which is a Priest card?
Resting Grounds with Relinquary Prime would be nasty
'lightning bolt is a lot of damage so give it to warlocks' because soulfire isnt a card trump ofc
Yeah but warlocks can't double battlecries and soulfire is kinda worse than lightning bolt I'd say ?
Shaman*
Every Zoo player has cried at least once when Soulfire #1 discared Soulfire #2 and lost their lethal
If you printed Millhouse the Magnificent without the highlander drawback, every control deck bar none would play it without question.
why would non combo decks need 11 mana?
Control decks aren't based around tempo and don't NEED mana unless they're trying to play a high cost card. Being able to use 11 mana wouldn't be worth putting a 5 mana 4/4 in a control deck. More mana doesn't help you outvalue other controls and more mana once you get to turn 11 doesn't help you out tempo aggro decks.
mindburglar is the best. i love the idea of reaching across the board to use their hero power. "stop hitting yourself!"
Would that Millhouse card not also ramp you from 5 to 11? Isn't that absolutely broken?
Maximum not current
Resting grounds: Twinspell. Give a minion "At the end of your turn, restore 3 health to this minion." (or you could do restore 3 or 4 health to any friendly character) at one mana cost. It can be beat better than the og resting grounds and its better balanced
We're reaching CRITICAL MASS!!!
I did a doubletake on millhouse the magnificient. On first reading it seems like neutral ramp (hilariously OP neutral ramp), but I'm guessing the author probably clarified that it doesn't ramp you. Still would have been good if Trump clarified this.
yeah i want to use enemy hunter heropower
Trump: Lightning Bolt lackey would be op
Which Lackey is better? One that deals 2 damage or one that deals 3 and overloads you for 1?
Maybe the resting grounds could be any healing restores this minion to full health so you need to always put your hero power or some other resorse to keep it alive
‘Quatra is too strong in Shaman with Lightning Bolt. Make it a Warlock card.’
Because Warlock doesn’t have a 1-cost direct damage spell that deals more than Lightning Bolt...
Resting groung should be start of turn instead of end of turn. Another CCG I play has creatures like this.
Pet cemetary + Tundra Rhino + Unleash the Hounds= OTK
You dont know if the skeletons are beasts and they dont die of off attacking face
@@shaibd5317 oh shit true. I just assumed because you're bringing pets back.
@@link2498 that's even worse, you are literally slaving souls for mana value
skeletons typically aren't beasts (unearthed raptor, bonemare, fossilized devilsaur...)
