Everyone is allowed to protect themselves. That whole equal force thing.
The problem is that he's not talking about self-defense. He's talking about being an asshole. And when you're an asshole to a guy (as a guy) at some point he's going to hit you. But as a woman, you're far less likely to get hit for being an asshole. Self-defense? Most people agree nowadays: hit back. But when she's just being a psychopath? It's still unacceptable to use physical repercussion to knock sense into her.

Yeah, I think your analysis is totally on point. In rhe past, men believed they should be able to take it and keep their mouths shut, because typically a woman isn't going to seriously injure us. There was also a much bigger stigma, and ridicule for a man who asked for help in those situations. But yeah, no one should be laying hands on anyone, and equal should really mean equal. Tough enough to punch me is saying tough enough to take a punch back.
Yeah, I used to have a buddy in the army, didn't realize the kind of chaos that was going on in there. I mean when you really look and just examine it from a 3rd party perspective, NOTHING looked wrong. Dude was married to an 8/10 wife, had a kid, decent house, looked like he was doing fine. Then I noticed after a while he would stop bringing his wife to the game shop we would hang out at. I just figured she was busy or something. Didn't even phase me. We'd still have fun with our TCG's so I didn't think much of it. Until about a month later he showed up with this face that I could only describe as a man that lost a fight to Mike Tyson. I'm just sitting there like holy hell bro, which UFC fighter did you lose to? So he took me outside, we've been bros for years, and he was like "yo man, don't judge me please, but my wife did that", and I was just thrown off by it. I looked at her and she didn't come off as some Amazoness chick or anything. I had to make sure he didn't have a muscle babe mistress or something on the side, because he's a pretty big dude. Later he explains that she attacks him with frying pans and actively beats him in front of their daughter. I almost lost my cool man. I really did. He's telling me that this woman is so ungrateful that this man gets deployed overseas to hell, has to take a lot of nonsense from his superior officers, and makes his home life a living chaos?
Cherry on top, he had enough of the abuse and just grabs her arm. Doesn't hit her whatsoever, just grabs her arm as she was swinging at him. Cops were called, shit got real, and guess who was the one that got arrested? The woman that's been abusing this broken man for almost 5 years, or the guy that just grabs someone's arm to stop them from hurting him? Yeah they found little finger sized bruises on her arm and that was it, he gets hit with the divorce, gets thrown out of his house, and ended up in the barracks until the army found out about the domestic violence charges and then he got discharged and ended up in a roach motel sleeping on a futon. Doesn't matter that his face looked like a swollen plum. He had put dime sized bruises on her arm and therefore he had to have done something. A soldier that was in great standing with the military, lost literally everything because he was just trying to stop his face from getting beaten more. Total mockery of justice. The greatest part to all this, it literally happened like 2 years ago. So it wasn't like in the 80's. It's unreal that this still goes on.
@@point-five-oh6249 People can get really good at hiding what they don't want the world to see. The thing that really gets under my skin is when women act like they're real tough, because they beat the shit out of a guy who was not fighting back in any way. Your buddy's wife should thank her lucky stars that he possesses super-human levels of restraint. Just natural reflexes from his training/deployment could have made it a real unhappy outcome for her. And if I'm totally honest, if anyone comes after me with a frying pan, I'm putting them on their ass. So, perhaps he's a better man than me.

My favorite moscatos are the Tropical Passion fruit, Tropical Raspberry, and Tropical Grapefruit. They're on the bubbley side, which is pretty nice. Or, almost anything from Quady. The Electra Moscato and Electra Red Moscato are good. They also have a good orange Moscato
