I've owned a 2009 Cbr 600Rr abs. I currently have a 2015 Yamaha R6 raven. The difference between the two is pretty drastic! The R6, is definitely the more "track ready" one. The CBR is wayyyy more comfortable, and "forgiving". You honestly can't go wrong with either one. That being said, I'll take my current R6, over my CBR every day. The styling is wayyy more "aggressive". The Raven edition just looks nasty, black and mirror red accents. The R6 honestly sounds better as well(stock vs stock). I have also dropped more money into my R6, because it was a bike I feel in love with, after my first ride on it....
Idk if you'll see that comment, but I currently have an 08' cbr and I'm considering changing for an r6... for the exact same reasons as you. The choice is hard, I'm stuck
@@SystemAdministrator1 ahah it's funny to see that comment almost 2 years later. I did buy an R6 and didn't regret my choice at all. The sitting position is much more aggressive, the engine has more top-end which makes it very fast in canyons and twisties because you don't have to shift. It's better than the CBR on everything for me. The story doesn't end up here. Because I moved to the US, I had to sell the R6 too. Now I'm riding a 2012 Daytona 675R and I think this is the best sportbike you can have on the streets. Amazing torque and mid-range power. Much much better handling, stiffness and feedback than any other bike I've tried. If you know how to ride it, that's a war weapon. The position is even more demanding than on the R6 but I love it. PS: I've seen guys on nija 400s smoking new R1M and S1000RR at the track in A group, just buy the bike you like, they all are very good if you ride them well! Best, Ride safe guys ✌
Thank you for the great videos! I started riding in the 80's. I've owned a number of bikes and I like all styles, sport bikes, cafe races, bobbers, choppers, dirt bikes, etc. I've owned all types-- Kawasaki GPZ 550, Yamaha R6, a few Ducatis when I got older, on and on) Then I got married, had kids, got rid of the bikes (for now) but of course I miss riding, and I miss the bikes. But the bike I miss the most is my blue 2001 Yamaha R6. As much as I loved the Ducatis, the R6 was a perfect fit for me. It's plenty of power, I would say it's way too much power for a new rider looking for a first bike. You must feel comfortable with something "violent" between your legs and all the things going on with your hands, feet, body, etc. And you want to feel "one with the machine" like you are the bike and the bike is you-- that's how the R6 felt to me. And you are right, it looks the best! A matter of personal preference, all the 600's look good these days, but the R6 has always stood out as the hottest looker in my mind. Thanks again, and keep it up! (Shiny side up, that is).
Ive ridden both an R6 and a Gsxr... the R6 has amazing power after 8000 rpm, you get a feeling of pulling and you have to hold on tight. so for racing this is good. the Gsxr has a more consistent power range through out and is 10x more comfortable. If your learning or have not ridden for awhile I wouldn't get an R6. But they do look beautiful!
The R6 is a fantastic bike! Never gotten to ride one, unfortunately, but I really love the look of the current R6. I ended up going for the 2013 ZX-6R simply because of the 636cc engine, available traction control, and the styling. But to me all the supersports are great looking bikes. By the way, I agree 100% with everything you said in this video and have argued as such on many forums. People talk about ultimate performance yada, yada, yada, but at the end of the day all of these bikes far outperform the talent levels of 99% of riders out there and any of them will be more than fast enough for the average rider. So at the end of the day, go with what you love and don't worry about anything else. They're all great...
streetbikesforever I'm looking at a YZF R6. Is that the same as the R6 you have? Or completely different model? My budget and eagerness to get a bike says get a 250. My knowledge that I'll soon want more says get the 600cc and right now, I could afford a used YZF R6 or CBR600.
Great video man. After looking threw a lot of comments, I realize that you reply almost to everyone. I like when the person try to answer people's question, I know is hard work but is worth it. Keep the videos coming.
Got my first bike 3 days ago, I didn't do any research at all I just shopped around on a couple of sites and decided to go with a 2008 R6. The main selling point was the look, first time bike owner too.
love it... To answer a lot of people's questions... the damper decreases your chances of getting "wobble" or "tank slap" also allows you to take turns faster too.... increases the feeling of the road for your bike and gives you better control. Anytime you you pull the front wheel off the ground the likelihood of the wheel shaking when it touches the ground is very high. the damper helps eliminate that from happening...
I love my R6. I had a CBR once and that was a great bike too, but Im really liking my R6. Its more aggressive in every way and handles so well. It flicks so easily, It almost feels twitchy.
great motovlog! you have my sub! and i totally agree, i have been riding fz6 fazer as my first moto for 3 years, and everyone told me that it is too much as a first moto. fortunately i have no accident, this season i was twice on track and next season i will finally afford my beloved r1 rn22 and no matter what evwryone says it will be my dream bike and thag is why i will buy it! i will have my whole life to learn to ride that beast :D
+lauriL90 I love both of them honestly. Look wise, I like the r6 a bit more. The R6 is a bit more uncomfortable but nothing crazy that no one can't get used to. I like the Gxsr's powerband a bit more. Loved the mid range pull. But both of them are beasts of there own. Loved them both but I had to buy my dream bike which is the r6.
"A Gixxer's riding position is like a Ninja 250"?! HA! Not even close! I have a 06 GSX-R 600 and I've ridden (roughly 300 miles) a Ninja 250R. Gixxers are much more aggressive and feel like a true Supersport, whereas the 250R has more of a Sport Touring feel. However, I wholeheartedly agree that you should go for your dream bike! Don't settle!!! Nice vid man.
Oh no dude a gsxr is totally a supersport!! i wasn't trying to say it wasn't, i was just trying to state that the fact is its slightly less aggressive than a R6. I know this because I've ridden one. Except it was like a 2012, so i don't know about the 06. I noticed that it sits a little lower with the handlebars higher and the foot pegs further forward. But YES go for your dream bike!!!! because really they are all similar and 600cc :)
Had a 1987 600 Ninj. Bike was great. But then slipped into an FZR600 Yami. And that is where I fell in love. And just like the man says. Ride a bike first before you decide. A Yamaha may be my choice. But yours may be so different. Looking into a 2007 R6. Drove the R! and a CBR900. And can still keep up with the horseies. lol. Find what is comfortable first thing. We don't want to see a fellow down.
got my 1st bike 4 months ago a 2008 black ninja 250r great all around bike but i outgrew it at this point going to get an r6 next year after tax return and cant wait im glad i started on the ninja tho cuz i dropped it twice....1 time breaking too hard and the other riding home high definitely learned my lessons and glad the fall was on my 250r and not a bigger bike anyways cant wait to get an r6 next year as my 2nd bike will get it all black or red/black
Thats exactly why i recommend the ninja 250 as a starter bike! :) Glad to hear your are getting a sexy r6! as that is the bike i have now, a 2007 red r6!! Glad you got your beginner mistakes out of the way
streetbikesforever got my r6 2007 yesterday loving the bike lol below 8k rpm it feels like a 300cc bike lol but after that hot damn the bike turns into a freaking rocket lol i will do my own oil and chain clean but can u tell me at what miles i will need to bring it in for valve check and brake inspection? its at 19k miles atm
19k miles is exactly how many i bought my bike with! You should change the oil and oil filter roughly every 3k miles with full synthetic oil. I use Spectro Platinum 4! I didn't do my valve adjustment until 30k miles and the valves were extremely out of adjustment, although i wouldn't have waited any longer. When you do the valve adjustment do all the maintenance such as new, air filter, spark plugs, coolant, clean and synchronize the throttle bodies, grease headset bearings. and so on. It will run so much better. Also use premium gas and keep all maintenance records! let me know if you need any help with anything :)
Best ever advice when choosing a bike. im a gixxer lover since i started on a GS125 and now on a GSXR250 and was hoping to move to a GSXR600 because i simply love the 250. but i was reading about all 600cc CBR GSXR and the YZF and found out that cbr has ABS and yzf has YCC-i/t but gixxer is the raw bike with not much features like the other two and i was having doubts about the gsxr but this dude opened me eyes ! im sticking with my dream bike
I am buying my first big bike this week (2015 R6). I have a crb 125 but never rode it around because it was embarrassing. I have been riding dirtbikes my entire life though, have a Yamaha YZ 250 right now. So Im sure ill be able to handle the speed of a 600. My dirtbike is fast as hell and has tons of torque. I was actually thinking of getting an R1, but I decided to settle with the R6 for now. Ive been riding motorcycles since I was 4 years old, so I should be okay.
Yeah me too! Why risk dropping your dream bike when you can get it out of the way on the not so fancy bike :) Then again, nothing compares to your lawnmower scooter in your profile pic XD
man the R6 is far better then the other for a lot of reasons. You should check specs and detailed infos about r6... it's a monster in its category. I had it for 2 years and i loved it!!!!!!
Good video and you hit all the points. I got an R6 for the exact same reasons. I know it is not the most comfortable but I do not buy a super to feel like a 250 all sat up straight. I want the aggressive position and I will pay for it. Plus after a while you get accustom to the pain. I am the perfect height for the bike so its not too bad. If you are very short you will suffer. One thing I dont like it the heat, but they all like that. And yes you have to get hi revs b4 you get performance (I can live with that). It is so beautiful everything else becomes minor. R6 until someone makes a better looker (that I can afford cuz Ducati are wonderful looking also)
Yeah dude same here. People who complain about the riding position and the discomfort are pussies ;D Also i totally agree. My bro has a ducati 1199 panigale R and I've had people tell me my bike is the most beautiful bike they have ever seen. Even over his hahahah but he also loves my bike!
+Streetbikesforever Thanks for this vid. I have a 2010 ninja 250 and want a upgrade. Looks are very important to me, and the r6 caught my eye and there are good prices on it
Well I have to say I get a lot of crap for my Ninja 250R. But I will say I love this bike. I have riden lots of bikes but this is the one could afford at the time and I love it. Sure Id love to have a bigger bike but the money is tight and I do have a bike that looks great and super easy to fix. Oh the mods are cheap to! One day ill get a ZX6.
streetbikesforever I own a Yamaha Stryker 1300 which is a cruiser but i also love sport bikes but cruisers are my style but nonetheless I love your videos and sport bikes. Yamaha are great bikes for sure and the R6 is a beautiful bike no doubt bro. You never know i might want to get a rocket at some point but for now I'm sticking to the couch ( cruisers ) hahahah
+mierol zuremi Started on a 600 as my first bike , starting on a 250 is a good recommendation but don't take it as a gospel. It all comes down to where you are maturity wise , take it slow get a feel for the bike and take a MSF course. The R6 was my first bike and I've never laid it down or dropped it not even through numerous track days. So from my experience a 600 is totally viable as a first bike if you aren't a dumbass. Because in my opinion a dumb ass on a bike can die on a 250 the same as a 600 , the 600 can just get you there a little faster.
I am looking to buy a 2004 r6 and am wondering if i will like the bike. I learned how to ride a street bike on my uncles 2009 ducati 1100s how different is it from the r6 for power wise, thanks.
Amazing video man.... im thinking of geting a r6 as my first bike I have road a few Hondas and just some dirt bikes but what do u think a good price is for a used r6?
Well i would ooh at the bluebook value. Its a good way to get a price idea. But just so you know My bike is a 07 R6 with over $3k in accessories. I paid $5,500 then another $500 in maintenance stuff. Bluebook value for a 07 r6 is $5k. Depending on mileage.
What made you decide against a supermoto in the end? You were leaning towards one I heard in your other videos. I'm in the same situation at the moment. Had a ZX6R 636B and sold it because it started to wear down and I got a great price. Now I'm looking around again and can't decide between so many motorcycles. Husky 610, KTM 690, Speed Triple, GSX-R 750, R1..totally different concepts and yet every category has its (dis-)advantages. What really annoys me about supermotos is their purchase price. Good, used Husky = 4-5k€. KTM 690 = 6k€+ Speed Triple around 5-6k€, The GSX-R 750 or the R1 (Rn 12, 19) cost around 4,5-6k€ BUT I got the feeling that I'm getting so much more motorcycle for the price compared to a supermoto! Even when I put the cost aside, I still can't decide. Supermotos are fun around city and country roads and you can have fun while not going triple the speed limit...I don't fucking know :D
HAHAHAHA!!! i feel your pain bro! And yeah i was thinking about the supermoto but like you i couldn't find a really good one without spending a lot of $$$. Also I have ridden my step dads drz 400 and its nice but supermotos are best for city riding as your stated. If your doing any freeway the dirt bike sucks. Not to mention that is seems that your don't get as many miles out of the supermoto. My bro has 60k miles on his R1 and it runs like new. But I've heard of supermoto rebuilds at 10k so I'm not sure. personally i find to supermotos fun to tool around on but shit gets real on a sport bike! :)
i have 07 ninja zx10r. yamaha and Kawasaki known for top end power right. how is the power band feels like for r6. how weak at the low end. i wish i have a chance test eide one
seeing that there are alot of r6 owners here, i wanted to ask what year r6 should i get? anything year 06/07 above is great? i know there are some changes over the years. does milage really matters? thanks alot for the reply
HAHAHAAHAHHA!!! Its funny you say that cuz my brother taught me how to say it cuz it bugs him when people say it wrong. I don't pronounce it nearly as well him though haahah! Greetings from San Diego, North America, Earth :)
streetbikesforever hahah nice didnt expect dat :) well akrapovic pronaunced the right way sounds like akrapowitch lol. hope u get some new videos up and saw that u talked about the s1000rr ..its a nice bike 👍 did a test ride liked it but my k1300r is still my baby hahahahah. safe riding !
Help! Hi, I'm really considering buying a SuperBike, wanted one since I was a sophomore, was really into MotoGP and Bikes and full armor. And I want to buy my first bike soon. Is a 600cc good for me? I just turned 20 a few weeks ago, I weigh about 147 - 150, 5'9 feet tall, slim, medium built, so I'm not a big guy. But neither is Rossi. I'm not into doing stupid crazy wheelies and burnouts, I don't want to go 180 mph on a freeway, so, is a 600 good for me, I respect the power. I want a Black Kawasaki 2008 ZX6R or a Yamaha Team Yamaha Color R6, plus I'm buying a full armored one piece suit with everything, Valentino Rossi style :) love that look. There isn't much bikes where I'm from, at all, I'm from McFarland USA, that's right. So tips would help, if not I'm set on a Black 2014 Ninja 300 :) P.S. My favorite Motorcycle ever is the Ducati Panigale 1199, I have scale models of it :) oh and, I'd get a licence before buying... and.. I don't drive, a car, I don't drive... so I'd be learning ALOT. Little nervous.
Don't listen what anyone says just get your dream bike, get Ducati Panigale 1199. As long as you riding responsibly and safely you can ride any bike even hayabusa:)
SSMateuszSS lol Hayabusa, no thanks, not that pretty. Ye, I heard the Panigale doesn't fly until higher end speeds do that's cool, yes I'm getting a Yamaha R6, 2008 to 2015, whatever I find a great price, plus I'm putting all those safety after market stuff, plus a full MotoGP Yamaha FIAT Fairings set :) can't wait :)
Hector Munoz SS has terrible advice, a litre bike will not be forgiving at all.. I went a Ninja 300 first, but did regret it and outgrew it quite quickly.. Just respect the 600 and you will be fine! But yeah I wouldn't buy anything above a 600 until your competent. Safe riding man, whatever you choose
Awreesome est My first bike was 50cc scooter. Second bike I had was Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R and I outgrew it after over 1 year, mainly because it was lacking mid-range. Now I own R1 for 3 years and I'm super happy with it, it pulls strongly from bottom to top. In my opinion R1 is perfect bike. My advice was based on my experience. You see some people like me have natural riding skills which comes with ease. You however need too learn how to properly handle a bigger bike but that's OK. Every person is different. However as long as you ride SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY it is possible to start on big bikes 600+ with ease.
Hello. I got a question. I live in uk and want to buy a used bike from Italy or Spain. Is it possible to change on the display from kilometers an hour to miles an hour and vice-versa? Thanks.
+ryan gregor No, But a Yamaha R300 or R125 will be good for you. It looks almost the same as the bigger brothers.. and the R125 has great fairings I think.
If I get an r6 I want the 2001 model or a gsxr750 2012 model, wonder if it'll have the same amount of power which bike has more power otherwise if they're the same I'll do a 2001 r6 or a gsxr750 and I have autism rode a 150 once.
you cant go wrong with either....chose whitch one is cheaper or has less mileage if your buying them used. the zx6r might be alittle more reliable cause kawasaki is known for that also aftermarket parts might be alittle cheaper for the zx6r too. but not by much
Sit on both, have a look at both, and whichever one you feel more comfortable on and like the look of more, get it. You can't go wrong. Both beautiful bikes. Although, all of the R6's power tends to be generated in the high RPMs, while lacking in the low and mid range. The ZX6R's power feels a bit more linear, while the R6's hits you out of nowhere and puuuulls once you hit like 11k+ RPM's.
I am getting my driving licence in about a year, im 26 then and ive always wanted a yamaha r6 or r1. What do you think would be the better choice when i get my licence, knowing that i ofcourse have no real experience yet. R1 or R6 and why?
Tim Manders Definitely not an R1. It has to much balls for any new rider. Get an R6 or smaller, like a ninja 650. Especially with no riding experience, you have to build the muscle memory
Some reason I can't reply to that comment, but dude I so agree, all 600s are so nice. I really really love the look of the 2014 fireblade sp edition. What's your thoughts on the new r1?
Exactly! and dude i don't know about the r1 yet :/ It looks pretty sweet but i just gotta see it in person!! i have my doubts like the stupid bulb headlights 😂 but the electronics package is super dope!
Man, yeah. Them headlights are just.... Strange. Don't get me wrong, everything from the mid to the rear of the bike looks good, but the front fairing is just alien to me. Haha, yeah the electronic package is no doubt there. Soon ittl start riding itself :P I'm not a big fan on all the electronics. But I would love to try it before I knock it
SickickSix Yeah dude! i just gotta see it right new to a bmws s1000rr because thats my dream liter bike (i think) none the less its a super awesome bike and i can't wait to see what it feels like 😏
Not sure why people say the R6 is bad for street riding. Yes, I know that its seat height is higher than the other super sports. But think, most of its power and torque are up high and you would really be flying if you where at 10k rpms on a road with an average of 35-45mph speed limit.
i couldnt tell the riding position compare of the japanese superbikes. i looked at an r6 foot pegs. they are the same position as my zx10r. clip on looks the same. unless yamaha make it a little lower. how can ypu tell the r6 has more aggressive riding position
for liability i pay $70 a month and thats as my primary vehicle. also I'm 17 so its more expensive. Full coverage is over $200 a month unless you make it your secondary vehicle.
I have a question. I´m currently riding a Supermoto, but I like the R6 and I´m thinking about buying it. So what I want to know is, I see a lot of videos (and real life too) of people dropping their sportsbikes when they pull out off a parking lot back on the street. I guess they are too slow and the bike just falls over.... Are these Sportsbikes so much harder to handle at very slow speeds? I mean, I can turn around with my Supermoto at like 1 km/h without putting my feet down and I don´t drop it.
But mate if you have a few years of experience you should be good, just realize that you are going to adapt to it comming from a motard, you'll be fine. The things a sportbike was made for, no other type of bike can do :).
Mate, you need to do whatever your heart desires but keep in mind that the current R6 model has been pretty much thesame since 2008. If you get a leftover model from a dealer from 2012/13/14 you probably save a couple of grand and get the exact same bike as a brand new 2015 model. You could also get like a 2010 model with less then 10k miles for half the price of a new one, and you'd still have pretty much thesame bike as if you'd buy one from yamaha right now. Just something to think about!
Yeah that's true, yamaha bikes are more good looking than the other japenese and european bikes. Considering the performance and price. It's sleek and got a gorgeous sporty stance. I wanna buy myself an R6 too. But I don't think I can pull out it's full potential for now so maybe I start with an R3 or R15.. I've heard about the R125 but it's not available in my country.
Ok I need help so I hope I get some, I'm looking to get a bike soon like within the next week or two and was dead set on the 2015cbr600rr but came across the new 2015 Yamaha r6 and don't know which one I should get I understand the r6 has more top end power and the Cbr has more low range and mid power so I'm lost on what to get, also I'm 6'0 and 210lbs if that matters hope get some advice ....
Based on the many reviews I've seen, if your looking for comfort, cbr is the way to go. Has mid range power and comfort. Is basically made for the streets. If you want power, the r6 is the way to go BUT you have to be willing to sacrifice comfort. R6 is more made for the track.
You first sounded east European, then changed to Australian, and then finally your voice sounded American after like 7 seconds
Dude.... Omfg yes this... How'd you read my mind?
I was literally scrolling down to comment that exact thing! haha
I think he spoke Cambodian for 5 sec
the r6 is the best looking sportbike out there imo
got mine r6 2014 since 2 weeks & loving how it looks & handles.
I agree with you! 100%

What about for taller guys? 6'5
Idk if you'll see that comment, but I currently have an 08' cbr and I'm considering changing for an r6... for the exact same reasons as you. The choice is hard, I'm stuck
@@firehawk3239 I wouldn't do it
You have the best year
CBR has more low end and midrange
More comfortable too

The R6 keeps me out of trouble. R1 is way too much power for me....
I recently sold my bike and got a new bike, same one you have. I love it!!!
Ive ridden both an R6 and a Gsxr... the R6 has amazing power after 8000 rpm, you get a feeling of pulling and you have to hold on tight. so for racing this is good. the Gsxr has a more consistent power range through out and is 10x more comfortable. i agree dude. as i said the less aggressive riding position!
I had an r6 for 7yrs and absolutely agree best bike all around. I've rode all the other brands also!! R6 all the way!
The R6 is a fantastic bike! Never gotten to ride one, unfortunately, but I really love the look of the current R6. I ended up going for the 2013 ZX-6R simply because of the 636cc engine, available traction control, and the styling. But to me all the supersports are great looking bikes. Thanks bro! i really appreciate that! :) it does take a long time to reply to everyone hahaha
Nice one Datajones😁.This year my R6 turned 20yoa, but it's still a Great ride & at 40k miles, the engine is still strong & just passed it's MOT..
Got my first bike 3 days ago, I didn't do any research at all I just shopped around on a couple of sites and decided to go with a 2008 R6. The main selling point was the look, first time bike owner too.
+The New York Critic Just ride your own ride and be safe. Enjoy it!!!
+SoEcRaTeS it's the fucking Internet stfu and go do something. It's the fucking weekend.
I have had three, Loved all of them and miss them all from time to time. Great bike. Great reasons why you have yours as well.
The R6 is clean. I think the CBR600rr has a lot of good features for me. With the small fuel gauge indicator too you know.
man i love ur review..it was great..m a great fan of yamaha r6..nice review dude..
thanks dude :)
I still agree. Even though nothing new since long time.. R6 is still the beautiful of the lot.
yeah for sure! Don't you ride an R6?
great motovlog! you have my sub! and i totally agree, i have been riding fz6 fazer as my first moto for 3 years, and everyone told me that it is too much as a first moto. fortunately i have no accident, this season i was twice on track and next season i will finally afford my beloved r1 rn22 and no matter what evwryone says it will be my dream bike and thag is why i will buy it! i will have my whole life to learn to ride that beast :D
i recently bought a 2006 R6 Raven, coming from a 2008 Gsxr... The R6 is a whole different Beast!!!
Thanks for short n good video .not like others 20 min video
yamaha has a solid build,r6 is awesome.
I know the R6 isn't designed to be a commuter bike but... if I were to get it for primarily commuting would it be a mistake? I really love this bike.
But YES go for your dream bike!!!! because really they are all similar and 600cc :)
your exact bike is my dream bike! candy red 2007 r6 😍
Yeah man they are awesome bikes!!
Nice video. Got to agree the R6 is a great looking bike. I'm going back and forth over the R6 or a Triumph Street Triple R.
Totally agree about the design of the R6...just has a very aggressive look.
indeed it does
got my 1st bike 4 months ago a 2008 black ninja 250r
great all around bike but i outgrew it at this point
going to get an r6 next year after tax return and cant wait
im glad i started on the ninja tho cuz i dropped it twice....1 time breaking too hard and the other riding home high
definitely learned my lessons and glad the fall was on my 250r and not a bigger bike
anyways cant wait to get an r6 next year as my 2nd bike will get it all black or red/black
Thats exactly why i recommend the ninja 250 as a starter bike! :) Glad to hear your are getting a sexy r6! as that is the bike i have now, a 2007 red r6!! Glad you got your beginner mistakes out of the way
streetbikesforever
got my r6 2007 yesterday
loving the bike lol
below 8k rpm it feels like a 300cc bike lol but after that hot damn the bike turns into a freaking rocket lol
i will do my own oil and chain clean but can u tell me at what miles i will need to bring it in for valve check and brake inspection?
its at 19k miles atm
Nice vid man. If people buy an R6 for there first bike make sure the seller gives you a good deal on a coffin to.
Ride a Yamaha R6 myself. Great bike!! 😈
The beautiful riding scenery looks like Arizona. Very nice video
Have you seen and heard the 2013 Triumph Daytona 675R it's just the best looking sounding and the best value bike I've ever seen
I don't know too much about it but I saw a video with it in it. It looks sick dude!
That last sentence in the description is the most important thing about the whole thing!
Just bought the 04 model, love it.
Ive been riding motorcycles since I was 4 years old, so I should be okay.
nice video dude, great info thanks
Awaiting to buy it sooner...
Buy it!
Highway 67 into Ramona! I recognize that ride to Palomar.
What a great bike, especially this one, I think you made the right choice for the 250 then getting the bike you really wanted :)
Yeah me too! Why risk dropping your dream bike when you can get it out of the way on the not so fancy bike :) Then again, nothing compares to your lawnmower scooter in your profile pic XD
streetbikesforever Exactly dude, makes perfect sense! Yes my minibike has a CRAZY 6 FREAKING HP!!!!! Which is enough for a 14 year old kid :P
MiniBike Mayhem HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D
loved my 07 r6 my gsxr 07 gsxr 750 I found every friendly as well...thinking of a 09 or new r1 here in the next year or so
Best bike ever made is the R6.
Totally agree!
Fastest 600 ever made is the Zx6r 😉
Holy crap you're leaving Ramona! I ride from Poway up to Julian all the time! I wonder if I have seen you and just haven't realized it!
man the R6 is far better then the other for a lot of reasons.
You should check specs and detailed infos about r6... it's a monster in its category.
I had it for 2 years and i loved it!!!!!!
yes i have and its specs are amazing! Ive had it a year now and will for many to come!
I've been riding dirt bikes all my life and I have 4500 dollars saved so far this spring I'm getting a r6 or a zx6.. Im really excited
Hell yeah dude!! i would be too! so much fun!
nice dude i would take either one lol
Just came across your channel, pretty awesome man 👍🏻
akropobitch? .. thas a new one ... 2:24 xD
Hahahahaha!!!! 😂😂😂 that's not actually what I said but that's really funny
+streetbikesforever hey man what name u intro music ? Thx
+rui castro Akropovic. Cuban people don't know anything.
love the way you rage ... #notcubanbitch
rui castro #socubanyourmomluvzit
+Streetbikesforever
Thanks for this vid. I have a 2010 ninja 250 and want a upgrade. Looks are very important to me, and the r6 caught my eye and there are good prices on it
At 4:30 your attitude is very nobel. Idk how to describe it but you started spitting truth 😂😅
great video loved it bike looks amazing btw
Great vlog mate,thx bro
Well I have to say I get a lot of crap for my Ninja 250R. But I will say I love this bike. I have riden lots of bikes but this is the one could afford at the time and I love it. Sure Id love to have a bigger bike but the money is tight and I do have a bike that looks great and super easy to fix. Oh the mods are cheap to! One day ill get a ZX6.
Really well said👊
streetbikesforever I own a Yamaha Stryker 1300 which is a cruiser but i also love sport bikes but cruisers are my style but nonetheless I love your videos and sport bikes. Yamaha are great bikes for sure and the R6 is a beautiful bike no doubt bro. You never know i might want to get a rocket at some point but for now I'm sticking to the couch ( cruisers ) hahahah
600s are the best starter bikes imo. easy to handle and ride safely in the low rpms and fast enough to make anyone smile when the rpms go over 9500
+cmac brown No the 250 are the best or maybe 500
+Johnny Good yup. for starter. 250>600>1000
Are those your nanotips gloves bro lmao! You cut out holes in the thumbs of the gloves hahaha. Awesome! Good idea
Hahahahaha no actually i tried putting them in the washer and drier and they fell apart!! X'D so i got new ones!
which one should i buy never ride one but want ome to learn .. cbr600 or r6
Does a 600 feel a lot more different than a 250 or just slightly ?
nice video dude !!!!
i think im sure that i buy this bike in future (-:
Hey that's Ramona, CA!
Looking for my first bike. Do you think a 600 or a 300?
What made you decide against a supermoto in the end? You were leaning towards one I heard in your other videos.
I'm in the same situation at the moment. Had a ZX6R 636B and sold it because it started to wear down and I got a great price.
Now I'm looking around again and can't decide between so many motorcycles.
Husky 610, KTM 690, Speed Triple, GSX-R 750, R1..totally different concepts and yet every category has its (dis-)advantages.
What really annoys me about supermotos is their purchase price. Good, used Husky = 4-5k€. KTM 690 = 6k€+
Speed Triple around 5-6k€,
The GSX-R 750 or the R1 (Rn 12, 19) cost around 4,5-6k€ BUT I got the feeling that I'm getting so much more motorcycle for the price compared to a supermoto!
I'ma get an r1 once taxes come and get mine now sold I used to be straight Honda but I fell in love at the dealership lol
Yeah dude the R1 is so sexy 😍
Thoughts on the Daytona 675? you pretty much said the #1 in choice is looks, I really like the 2014/14 Red/White triple
my dream bike is also r6, but i'm planning to buy 2006-2007. tell me, how tall are you? i'm 187cm
seeing that there are alot of r6 owners here, i wanted to ask what year r6 should i get? anything year 06/07 above is great? i know there are some changes over the years. does milage really matters? thanks alot for the reply
the r6 and tha r1 r pretty damn sexy looking motorcycles i gotta say best bikes ever
in your opinion, can or cant a newbie ride this bike??
We can all agree that my crocs rocket was not a good idea yamaha but it was when I was immature but I still have it no use in getting rid of it
umm, I'm just gonna say yes?
damn almost no eng. ppl can say akrapovič the right way and man you almost did...fuckin amazing :D.
greetzz from Croatia!
Safe riding to you too! And thanks a lot!
Little nervous.
start off on the Ninja 300 first to get the feel of riding. 600cc is alot of power for a new rider.Buy a used Ninja 300 not new then sell
However as long as you ride SAFELY and RESPONSIBLY it is possible to start on big bikes 600+ with ease.
dude that chain is done
You speak the truth man!!
Good second bike? I started on a tricycle
best r6 colour ever
What do you say on buying a used r6 any pro tips?
Hello. I got a question. I live in uk and want to buy a used bike from Italy or Spain. Is it possible to change on the display from kilometers an hour to miles an hour and vice-versa? Thanks.
TrueGamingPassion yes! it takes about 5 seconds :)
Ok, thank you. I tough you had to change the entire thing...
Nope! just the click of a button
+ryan gregor no 600 is good if you dont wanna invest in a beginner bike and after few months buy a new one , above 600 is crazy for a new rider tho
+ryan gregor No, But a Yamaha R300 or R125 will be good for you. It looks almost the same as the bigger brothers.. and the R125 has great fairings I think.
Great video. Btw what is your height?
I want a 2007 yamaha r6 Trans red, looks so sexy!! but I also want a 05 cbr 600 cuz of the gas gauge.. idk Anymore!
MrBullya haha get the r6!!! You don't need a gas gauge bro. You'll learn how many miles your bike can go and you also have the fuel light.
should i get a harley or a sport bike?
If I get an r6 I want the 2001 model or a gsxr750 2012 model, wonder if it'll have the same amount of power which bike has more power otherwise if they're the same I'll do a 2001 r6 or a gsxr750 and I have autism rode a 150 once.
Hello guys what year is the best to get used R6?thank you!
if you want to be comfy then 03-05 if you want better looks but 0 comfor then 06+
my bf is getting me my first bike. it's between this one and a 2012 ninja Zx6r ? which should I pick?
you cant go wrong with either....chose whitch one is cheaper or has less mileage if your buying them used. the zx6r might be alittle more reliable cause kawasaki is known for that also aftermarket parts might be alittle cheaper for the zx6r too. but not by much
Sit on both, have a look at both, and whichever one you feel more comfortable on and like the look of more, get it.
But I would love to try it before I knock it
SickickSix
hi :)
did you get my last message? :)
I´m not sure if I sent it correctly... :(
SickickSix Yeah dude! i just gotta see it right new to a bmws s1000rr because thats my dream liter bike (i think) none the less its a super awesome bike and i can't wait to see what it feels like 😏
Not sure why people say the R6 is bad for street riding. Yes, I know that its seat height is higher than the other super sports. But think, most of its power and torque are up high and you would really be flying if you where at 10k rpms on a road with an average of 35-45mph speed limit.
Yeah exactly. I agree dude
Did you ride any of the other 600’s?
i couldnt tell the riding position compare of the japanese superbikes. i looked at an r6 foot pegs. they are the same position as my zx10r. clip on looks the same. unless yamaha make it a little lower. how can ypu tell the r6 has more aggressive riding position
Awesome video lol getting a r6 soon but while you're at it you should get a new pair of gloves...😉
how much do you pay monthly for insurance? just wondering what the average cost would be
for liability i pay $70 a month and thats as my primary vehicle. also I'm 17 so its more expensive.
+Grenzliker Pretty much, they are very awkward at low speeds compared to other style bikes.
But mate if you have a few years of experience you should be good, just realize that you are going to adapt to it comming from a motard, you'll be fine. The things a sportbike was made for, no other type of bike can do :).
Julian Lankhorst Thanks:DD Guess i´ll order it next week^^
I've heard about the R125 but it's not available in my country.
i love my r6 hopefully get a r1 in the future
yeah dude its an awesome upgrade!!
During the the first third of the vlog, there are some mountains to the right, and one looks like a pyramid. What mountains are these?
Do you think I would have any problem reaching the ground on an r6,im 5 foot 5.5 inches. How tall are you?
im 6 foot 3 inches. so yes it think touching the ground may be difficult. try going to a dealership and trying it out!
Ok, thanks man
Yes I own a 09 R6 and I'm 5-7 and that's my only issue with the bike. The seating is very high and can be very very uncomfortable on the street
6'2" 2014 yzf-r6 and i'm relatively flat foot on the ground at rest. you might have some issues reaching the ground for sure.
