    21:24 the problem with this is that those ai are already being made, but to improve the fakes. Like he said, GANs are trained via 2 models, one that recognize fake and one that improves it.
    So ultimately if the best deepfake recognizing algorithm is made, it will ultimately being used against the "improver" algorithm, and it will end up being beaten.
    By improving the recognition of those, we actually improves them, and that's the problem.

    This is easy problem but made difficult. Numbers are the easiest things to manipulate. Thats why we have audit to varify the credibility of the information. Literally, that could be applied to video. Before uploading, the company (ie UA-cam etc) should have a team that varify the video. Anyone who know about auditing, they only reduces the risks of false information. I believe this is at least better than not having someone who can varify the video.

    I feel like deepfakes only work on people that have high quality cameras because the computer is able to tell pixels apart so that they can fix them in the final product. If theres less pixels to work with it will be difficult to apply a deepfake to someones face when their image quality isn't up to par.
    In conclusion perhaps we should just evolve backwards and use terrible cameras
    Its kinda like voice changers and voice learning. Youre gonna have a much harder time changing your voice if you buy some dogshit blue yeti mic. Its gonna sound distorted and shit

      There will be an ai that would be designed just for that
      It’s inevitable bro, it actually is scary you can see the amount of concern even juicers have in this comment section

    • @_isFtAway
      @_isFtAway 10 місяців тому

      @@agent-te3yf There are just some tasks technology cannot perform that is why we require newer hardware for new purposes. An ai wouldnt be able to do such a thing because it is difficult to decipher something of lower pixels therefor making its mistakes more apparent because it doesnt have complete control over the aspect of the image and you will be able to notice a deepfake without question. High quality images provide more pixels for the computer to adjust lower image qualitys cannot so i can record on a potato and a deep fake wont work especially not being in a well lit area

      You can essentially already use things like Stable diffusion to just create images like that. Sometimes not even intentional, you have to specifically add a negative prompt to not include illegal things, or else there's a chance one of the image generations includes it.

    18:00 To everybody spamming "Atrioc", I highly suggest you go watch his latest update video, he's been working diligantly with a law firm for the past 6 months to make an automated system that detects and copyrights deepfakes to protect women.
    According to the law firm, Atrioc's contribution using his new automated detection system saved these women what would have costed 9 million in costs using the old system of manually finding and flagging these things by hand.
