Peace, Not only is it a bad plot hole that Scorpion shot darts in both of Toad's ears at the same time, Scorpion is right there in the court with everyone else. How is it that no one saw him do it, including Snake?
The Chinese language dubs probably have the numbering of the pupils correct. The master was trying to sweat the poison out after being poisoned. Supposedly this movie bombed in Hong Kong but was popular worldwide.
The Scorpion was number 3 so the other two weren't trained yet so it's unlikely the Master told him of The Toads weak spot because he didn't exist yet! He explained numbers one and two knew each other and four and five knew each other, so the Scorpion knew nothing of the Toad or his weak spot! He was a policeman in that town and probably just paid close attention to everything he knew was gonna get him close to that money! But that's a great observation and theory!
OR..peep this... the scorpion kept in touch with old master over the years who informed him that the master found out some of the other venoms were doing evil acts and bringing shame to the school and he then charges scorpion to find them and take em down if necessary. BUT scorpion becomes corrupt. Especially when he finds out there's treasure to be had and cuts all communication with the old master who then hastily trains hybrid to complete the mission. Hows that for backstory...LOL

maybe it's just me or by the fact i have not seen this entire film i find the ability to extinguish candles, even while one is walking on a wall lacks cinematic oomph...i get it's an over exageration much like the overt leaps, spins and movements but for me it looks a little silly...perhaps the candle represent some meaning i just don't get...
