Some people grow and other people don't Sometimes you go where other people won't The rough patch, the drag out The hard stuff, the long way And now you've let me down I went where you won't go And I'm on my own So many voices, you can't stick out So many choices, you can't make out I wait, just wait I wait but you won't Seems like a golden tune Is it all you say, no? Then I'm on my own I'll never trust you again, It fools a day the same, it's over now I’ll never need you again I found this life, it's here just as it's always been And I don’t need a path to show the way, a hand It’s words are moving, searching’s the way At those who say another thing, enough of harm
Lyrically this rides like Eddie Vedder's "Present Tense" during Pearl Jam the pre-eminent betrayal can be heard many, many different ways, which shows a lot of strength in those homonyms. Seems like i'm golden too, isn't it all? You say No and I'm on my own
great song, it's terrible to be in a crowd :( you can't stand out :(. why not instead flip that 7 inch over to experience a post-shadow-line gaping pit of broken expectations and quietly shattered dreams. wish someone would upload that song to UA-cam so I can listen to that at 4am
I searched for the lyrics but I can not find them anywhere, PLEASEEEEE!!!!!! could you write them here in the comments ??? you would do me a great favor....i dont speak english Please bro please!!!! jajajja I love the spirit that transmits this song and I especially love Noah in it ....... it reminds me of the version of "In The Bleak Midwinter" that they did in the early days of Campfire Songs ..... but also It reminds me of the spirituality and the growth process that it conveyed in Person Pitch / Ponytail But here he is so contemplative, longing and nostalgic ... so sweet that it hurts and gives peace in equal parts Noah must be a person with a very pure heart It is like a b-side of a Person Pitch that never happened ... it transmits the same faith in oneself and the same desire to continue growing and to stay real in the heart that PONYTAIL but I think that here is a clearer notion and fragile that one is tiny in front of life and you can never know what is going to happen ... you simply have to stay real and pure and passionate in a world and a life that just as it gives you, takes away from you and that things live, they also die and just as there are moments of purity and love, there is also a lot of frivolity and badness and stupidity. I did not know Paul Marroon, but the music here is wonderful, simple and pure ... it's a great collaboration Sorry, but for me this song is better than all the BUOYS (and the buoys I liked, I hear it a lot these days)

this song has SUCH a specific vibe that I find extremely comforting
Wow wish they did a whole album together
Dude it's my first time listening to this song and already loving it
Nice guitar and voice
best vox reverb trail of all time 1:25
really just some the best vocal melodies from Noah here
Unmistakable Paul Maroon guitar styling....
Wasn't sure who Paul Maroon was but I assumed he was with the Walkmen by your comment. And I was right. Absolutely unmistakable

I love the spirit that transmits this song and I especially love Noah in it ....... it reminds me of the version of "In The Bleak Midwinter" that they did in the early days of Campfire Songs ..... but also It reminds me of the spirituality and the growth process that it conveyed in Person Pitch / Ponytail
But here he is so contemplative, longing and nostalgic ... so sweet that it hurts and gives peace in equal parts
Noah must be a person with a very pure heart
It is like a b-side of a Person Pitch that never happened ... it transmits the same faith in oneself and the same desire to continue growing and to stay real in the heart that PONYTAIL but I think that here is a clearer notion and fragile that one is tiny in front of life and you can never know what is going to happen ... you simply have to stay real and pure and passionate in a world and a life that just as it gives you, takes away from you and that things live, they also die and just as there are moments of purity and love, there is also a lot of frivolity and badness and stupidity.

I wait while you moan
Seems like I'm golden too
Isn't it all?
You say no and I'm on my own
I'll never trust you again
[These moves you take, the same]
It's over now
I'll never need you again
I found this life
It's here just passing
So is it an [honest] path
To show the way
A therapist's words
I know that searching's the way
And those who say another thing
[Get off on drama/Get in awful trouble]
