Mustard. Trust me on this. Try the same thing except rub in mustard first then add the rub. I PROMISE you it makes the best ribs

@@bessevaraven859 sorry. I’d say a good squirt length wise on both sides. Rub in, making sure ton get sides. Then ad rub and Pat down on all sides.
You wanna do this for flavor and moisture. It will had flavor but also absorb into the meat keeping it juicy.
If you’re not a mustard fan don’t worry it won’t taste like mustard. You’ll taste the rub rub spices but just better!

This. My husband uses mustard on pretty much all the meat he grills. Ribs, steaks, even chicken sometimes. Always ends up amazing.

Keeps the spices hydrated! Who knew ?!??the spices wanted to be hydrated!! So that’s what I’ve been doing wrong all this time. Well that and not oven roasting/steaming for tender ribs before a little grilling. You’re a genius and I’m impressed enough to think maybe I too can make delicious ribs! Big WOW 🎉 Did I say thanks?!

Little tip from an actual chef... you don't have to remove the silver skin on any rib, just understand temperature control.

Rub, smoke for hour to 1 1/2 hrs.,then in 250° oven or on grill-covered.
Remove foil, slather on sauce, crank up heat to let it caramelize.
Done 😋

I like that you didn't use mustard! Olive oil is the way to go for me! Everyone will say that you don't taste the mustard but trust me, if you don't like mustard (and many don't ) you will taste it in the final product!

Should be getting our beef in a week or two, ribs were definitely requested to the butcher. I’m excited to try this. Searching for brisket recipe too.
Oh and a commercial freezer, he was a big guy over half a ton.
Almost perfect. Rub those ribs down with some apple cider vinegar before you spice em up and replace that water with your favorite hard cider. No need for oil or sauce. The rub will turn into a sauce.
