(Your a vette family member) you drive just fine & this is the best time of your life I wish I was you .I am 61 years old &I did not get my C-5 until I was 42 & I didn't even have enough sense to get a 6 speed manuel transmission however i was lucky enough to have had the "performance" gears.I always wanted a black car, mine is the "pewter"(silver)color that at least every other C-5 is panted.I don't want you to think I don't love my vette because I DO! I got her to top out at 165MPH and it was as smooth as a jet.thanks again for the first cruise of a long winter (my baby is a garage queen from November to april which is why I have 69,000 miles)Later.
Hey man, beautiful '02 Vette! You got the more powerful LS1 that was bumped up starting in 2001 from the 97-00 models 345 HP / 350 TQ, to the 01-04 ratings of 350 HP / 375 TQ with the 6-speed. Very nice man! Hey one thing, you should drive in competition mode if you like getting on it. It keeps the stability control on, though it's less intrusive, but can save your ass if you start losing control. You can still wreck, but it helps... It also turns off traction control. I had a modded Electron Blue 2003 C5 Z51 Targa 6-speed. My father had a 2002 C5 Z06 that he procharged among other mods. We both loved competition mode. It saved me a few times, I won't lie lol. Great vids, I love POV videos! There's not enough of them in LS1 Corvettes. I already subscribed. Later man. Be safe 👍

Don't complain too much about the road, and just be happy you are allowed to own a sports car. I live in Europe where the roads are perfect, but there is no way in hell I would be able to afford the monthly tax on a sports car. Government here thinks, that people don't need sports cars, so if you want a Mustang for instance you have to pay almost 450 USD every month just in taxes and you still have to pay insurance on top of that. Not to mention the price of gas is double what it is in the USA. There is also highway tax, yearly mandatory mechanical exams and scary parking fees. You have no idea how lucky you are, I will go throughout my life without ever being able to drive a sports car.
In Republic of Georgia 🇬🇪 we don't have to pay for insurance lol. It is optional. We don't pay tax for big engine. Parking is same for everybody. I guess being third world country can be beneficial sometimes 😂
Hey, I love your car! I have had a Black 1997 6-speed since 2004. I made a few modifications that really unleashed it. Mid-range cam, long tube headers, x-pipe, LS6 instake, CAI, Centerforce clutch and dyno tune. It is a blast to drive and seems very similar to yours. BTW- i just picked up a 2024 HTC Z06 and have decided NOT to sell my 1997. The new Z06 is just insane. and sounds incredible Yet the 1997 is just different and pure old school. Hard to decide which to drive each day. Enjoy my friend.
been watching a ton of late model porsche vids. they look slow, which is odd. i miss the V8 power of my '02 corvette. good job capturing the thrilling memories of how powerful these beasts are.
From me being on my 2nd c5 will say fun car but bro be careful when it’s damp out I ended up hydroplane at 30mph on a slight tap of the throttle on nittos I see u riding on no traction giving it gas when it’s damp on the roads have fun but be careful bro just be mindful when to play with it

I have traction and abs lights on for the ebcm module and the hyperflashing came from the last owner replacing bulbs. I plan to do the LED conversion in the near future

A '99 is 345 HP stock. The 97-00 are 345 HP stock. 01-04 are 350 HP stock.
