Agreed. It's definitely one that will be in my mind for the rest of my life. Watching her roar back to life, pull out of Spacedock, the tug of the uniform signifying the entire family is reunited now, then the growl of her old engines and triumphant flash of light launching her into the frontier. God damn I loved every minute of that.
I guess you could compare the Enterprise-D to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, because the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is about to LIGHT OUR DARKEST HOUR!!!
@@mattboesch8907 of course. But when it comes to the Borg this is who I want in the front lines. Now, clearly there's a generation of folks who would. Prefer Janeway in the front, and I can see that, but me personally, I'd feel better with the TNG crew and the D
I loved this moment so much!! I even subconsciously personified the ship itself and said to myself "even she looks meaner and ready to kick some ass". She never got the chance to really redeem herself against the Borg so I'm excited to see her clobber them
Such a perfect blend of the original motion picture scores. TMP theme and the absolute epic version of "The Enterprise" when the beautiful D is exiting Bay 12...simply breathtaking.
This just SCREAMS, ok step aside kids, the pro’s are here to show you how it’s done. Everything about this arrangement is just on point. It screams HOPE, something star trek has been serverly lacking in the last few years. this is BIG DAMN HEROS type theme. I cried, I fully admit it :)
Now you got me thinking of that scene from the Battleship movie where the old WWII vets show up show the kids how it's done by getting the USS Iowa up and running, and taking down the alien menace. XD
Phew! This rendition is a body kick. You have that epic "Gangs' back together--'yay' happiness" feel mixed with that "Get ready! Gangs' back together--and usually when that happens shit is about to get crazy" feel to it. Can't wait for the conclusion to season three--best Trek on TV since TNG went off air.
This is hands down the best adaptation of the Next Gen theme of all time, all the brass, string and percussion all blending together perfectly into a symphony of pure hope and excitement. This score must take the Emmy award, if not, we riot!
My goodness! Such a great arrangement! It captures the gravitas perfectly! The right people in the right to save the day! The low brass beginning the original theme and the trumpets blaring over the top! Chefs kiss! Perfecto!
Thanks for the upload! I've watched ep9 final scene so many times, because of this music, among other things obviously... now I've already listened to it from this video literally countless times, I think this is the BEST rendition and arrangement EVER of the wonderful TNG theme... So uplifting, epic, hopeful, exciting... simply glorious! Especially at 0:28 😍🤩Nerdgasm!
I get chills every time I watch this. I can visualise the scene in the episode and hear them talking at the right moments. This moment in Star Trek will go down as one of the most historic, I am sure of it.
This is what we the fans deserved in Seasons 1 and 2. At the very least, Picard ended with a banging finale. I wish there would be a Season 4. But alas, "all good things come to an end."
Star Wars always had its score, something that usually lives rent free in everyone's minds. This was the Enterprise-D moment, and finally got the fanfare the ship and its crew deserved.
you know what i want from this now... i wanna see someone try and make a version of this using the Voyager Theme... even better, i legit wanna see a version where both TNG and VOY are mixed in
I love the scoring at 0:21 as the Enterprise-D stretches her legs (or her new legs rather) for the first time since her fate in Generations. But was a bit bummed the segment at 0:29 gets interrupted with Picard ordering Data to set a course for Earth maximum warp. Which is why I was glad it was replayed again in the episode's end credits🙌
I thought I was the only one who thought that! the segment at 0:29 should’ve definitely played out just a tad longer! It’s my favorite part of the entire score. It is so grand and triumphant in a way that it literally feels like it’s not possible for it to have been done better. It didn’t take me out of the moment at all but on further rewatches I also wish the shot of her leaving the hangar went on long enough to capture that piece of the score before any more dialogue was given. Not that it makes it worse but I’m a sucker for a good score and this is by far imo the best I’ve ever heard. It took the spot of Ramin Djwadis Night king score and “The last ride of the Rohirrim” which are also PRESTINE pieces of music. But this one is just different.
It literally wouldn't be an issue for SF to just modernize the ENT-D (and other Galaxy class ships) with modern technology (minus the network connection) and just keep it in service. The things were designed to last at least 200 years (and when you take into account the fact they have drones, replicators and transporters, refreshing the internal superstructure and massive overhauls would be dead simple which would allow ships to remain up to date and on par with modern vessels indefinitely - and SF can also change their designs too with the times as necessary - so if a ship isn't destroyed, it can remain in service technically forever). 'Wear and tear' are things of the past (even today)... so, a design like the Galaxy class would have most certainly persisted until at least the 26th century if not the 31st - just changed somewhat in design and hull materials obviously - not to mention overall technology). I can see the Ross class being a refitted Galaxy class (much like the Titan was refitted from Luna into Neo Constitution Class)... but in fairness, the Ross class deflector is ruining the flow of the design... if it used a more Galaxy style deflector dish, it would have arguably looked better).
I wanted this, we all wanted this but how the story and plot got us here raises some questions. Like if there is only 6 crew on board and only on the bridge why is so many crew quaters windows lit up? When the away team beam down to the borg cube, how and who operates the transporter, its always required a manual operator and if it can now be done from the bridge why use the turbo lift at all and why Was a transporter chief necessary? Also when deanna takes up the pilots console, while data is driving from the ops console is this not 2people at the wheel at the same time?

No ship in HISTORY will EVER have such a triumphant return as the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D did here! MY GIRL LIVES AGAIN!!!!!!!
@ KITT AS I said I miss This glory and agreed 👍
It was far better than the millennium falcon in the force awakens, “ oh look there it is”.
As the man himself once said… “Let’s make sure history never forgets the name… enterprise!” and now? THEY NEVER WILL!
DAMN STRAIGHT!! The Enterprise-D is my favourite starship design (along with the bridge) bar none!
This is instantly one of the best moments in ST theme history.

Yes, especially as we see the D stretching her legs for the first time since her fate in Generations.

The exact 7 people and the only ship you want in a situation like this.

It wasn't just hearing him say it once again that was awesome, but the strength that he said it with was spectacular.
When Picard was captain again it’s as if his strength returned
For me, it was the nice touch that we got our first “Make it so” in this moment. It was conspicuously absent from the rest of the series.
