Thanks I enjoy teaching what I have learned over the years I am blessed to know how to use tools and repair an d build my own stuff ..It sure saves money instead of going to a shop and pay for the job
I watched several videos about this 4-way tool, and none of them were able to give the proper use for the tapered part. The packet it came in doesn't explain anything and the previous videos either didn't cover it or incorrectly said it was for cleaning the inside threads, and I could see that wasn't right. So now I know it's a left-threaded easy out...thanks.
Awesome! I've watched 6 or 7 videos on these and you are the first to say what that reverse thread 4th end is for... makes sense now but I couldn't figure out what it did. Thanks for this Also the large thread tap can be used to pull a new stem through the hole.
I found your video while looking for information on changing the schrader valve and/or valve stem on liquid filled tractor tires. I mailed ordered one, it'll be here in a couple of days. Thanks, Jim, it's a good video.
Hey. I’ve never done this. Was looking to c what the heck this weird screwdriver was, or was it something my late husband made along the way to us having a small trucking company of 12 employees. And now I know what those teeny little pokey things are too. In a 20x60 full maintenance service, welding, fabrication and body work shop…. I’ve got a lot of stuff to identify and learn. Thank you for making this vid, love your channel name and you’re easy to follow especially with that nice voice of yours. New subscriber.
Hi Jim , Nice to see one of those Again . I may have one . I'll have to look now . I do have a Valve Core Remover though . just like A Little Screwdriver . I Always Had one too.
Should be noted in the last 10 years, they have stopped carrying the 4 way kits at local gas stations and truck stops. Which leaves autoparts stores and Walmart
Now if I could only find one that isn’t made of Chinesium and is actually machined properly like the one you have. Yeah the ones at Walmart and places like that are cheap, but you most certainly get what you pay for. I had a valve core break on one of the tires on my trailer for the garden tractor. These are old Sears tires (I think late 60s or early 70s) so I sure didn’t want to have to take them off of the rim as they are so dry rotted that I’m sure removing them will ruin them. So I get one of these 4 in 1 tools from Wally World. Yeah... that tapered reverse thread easy out part barely had any threads cut into it... So I try one I found at my local car parts store. While it was a little better it still couldn’t grip onto a thing. As I’m now getting rather annoyed I just go grab a new set of easy outs (let a friend borrow the set I had...and they conveniently forgot them at a job site overnight and some damn kids stole every tool that was there...what else can you do but laugh at this point lol) Well the easy out had that broken core out in the blink of an eye. It’s amazing how much difference there is between something made well vs something made cheaply Definitely going to keep an eye out for a good quality 4 in 1 lol Anyways, hope you got a kick out of my adventures with Chinesium 🤣
I got a milwaukee version of the schrader tool and the schrader bit broke instantly 🥲 The schrader valve is quite stuck on the AC high side, probably from years of not being serviced. I put some pag oil inside the fitting and im letting it soak to see if that will unstick the valve from the aluminum line.
The cheap chinese versions that you buy at autozone should never be used for chasing threads. Tried twice, failed twice. Never again. I'll stick to my American made one which has proper tap flutes and isn't made out of a recycled paper clip.
Good video Jim you did a good job of explaining how the 4 way tool works for people that don't know.
Thanks I enjoy teaching what I have learned over the years I am blessed to know how to use tools and repair an d build my own stuff ..It sure saves money instead of going to a shop and pay for the job
You know I learn something new every day!
I'm nearly 60 and I never knew about that mini "easy out" on the valve tool! Thanks, Jim!
It is a nice tool to have if you fix your own tires

I used to do a lot of tire work and kept one of those handy all the time. Great little tool , Thanks Jim.
I have had this for a lot of years Works great to hold a valve stem on a tube from falling back into the rim and for pulling in a new valve stem
Outstanding explanation/demonstration!!!!!!!
Thanks I do enjoy making an educational video once in awhile

Great to hear!
I’ve had this little thing for years and never knew all, just the valve switch out. I should know kissing 60 but not til now. Thanks for sharing.
I would use one when I was a kid and went to the gas station to get a tire fixed
Thank you for the video..it's the best one I've seen yet to show about the 4 way tool
Thanks for watching

I never checked if a person could buy a new one

When I found mine it was in a bucket of junk and I spent the time to clean it up and not lose it New tools sure can be junk
You saved me $300 bucks and let me keep my "man" card. Thank you.
Thanks for watching
bright color paint would help find it faster. Old guys like me do stuff like that, and you don’t need much.
That's just what I should do Get me some florescent green paint and do some of my hand tools I do like the green better than the orange
They sell them at Wally world by the tire patches and gauges for $2 with 4 spare schraders. Made in china of course.
im pretty sure i have 1 as well but 4 the life of me i cant find it...lol
I lost this one and found it all rusted and cleaned it up...I have a back corner in one of my tool box drawers I keep all of my air stuff now
@@not2fast4u2c my stuff is all over the place thats why i cant find anything...lol
