Thank you Jo. The rabbit is not the first mural based on a model folded from your instructions. Hope you will find a moment sometime to check out the video and see how I turned the model into large scale graffiti murals.
You're asking me to show where to fold exactly when there is no exactly where to fold. Not everything has a reference point, sometimes it's up to your skill/sensibility to make it nicely. This is one of the reasons of the high difficulty level on the video description.
I know you said the difficulty is high, and it sure is. Obviously, you know what you're doing and you have a gift. But, this is basically an educational video. You're showing us how to make something. To provide a video with only visuals and no spoken words is difficult. It doesn't give us any cues, any predictions or understanding as to what the next step is. Food for thought. Otherwise, I like what you're doing. Wish I could be as good as you.
You've done amazing work here. The crispness and expression in your folding really make this model come alive. I was able, with patience to complete the design but my folding needs much more practice. The instruction was very clear and I like that the diagramming in the top corner. Thank you for helping us non-Crease-Pattern-Masters how to make a great design.
I used regular 15cm x 15cm paper and the small details at the end were a challenge but I managed to make them work! The ears where difficult to shape properly though. Thank you for the instructions, they helped a lot!
Just finished it! The paper I used was a bit too thick for this, and it made a lot of the folds much more difficult than they were. I'm still fairly happy with how it turned out, though :)
A great video! A beautiful finished model! Superb, clear, precise instructions! Now... Either Mr. Nakashima has magical super powers, or it's magical paper! I don't know which one, but something's going on. I try to fold according to the instructions, and my folds, bends and seams never line up, or I get the paper so weak from folding it that it tears at some point during the process. I dunno... maybe I'm using the wrong paper, or it's to thick to start with. Either way, I love watching a Master Origamist "plying" his trade! Thank You Mr. Nakashima for all that you do to teach us a very ancient art form!!!
Qualquer papel "normal" serve (papel dobradura, sulfite, etc)
Since I first started making origami 4 ago, I’ve been trying to fold this in many ocassions, but I could never get it right. This bunny has given me nightmares. I’ll try it now. Wish me luck!
Just wanted to say your videos and models are the best, I really admire your work, I learned origami through your videos..! Thank you and keep up the good work!

Thank you sooooooo much!!! I loved this video cuz I had to make a b-day present for my BFF, who love bunnies. This was really helpful and I think no one should have hit thumbs down.
this is a really nice model, ive never heard of Hsi-Min Tai before. the quality of your vids have gone up substantially too, i really like that you show the diagram of the step in the corner.
I finished it and it turned out great I made it with really hard origami paper and it was a struggle to me because folding the paper was really hard and if I didnt do it right it would have ended ripping all over it :)
My god your videos are done so well, but I have a L-O-N-G way to go and many failures ahead of me this day before I de-rust my beginner skills enough for this rabbit. It's so beautiful though and your videos are so easy to follow that although the craft is more difficult on this rabbit that the easier rabbit folds of some videos I feel like i'll get this rabbit before I manage the simpler one because the people teaching make it impossible to learn. Here goes failure two... lol Thank you for all the work you put into your videos.
Oi!
I have a feeling his mothertongue is not a language you may even be familiar with. I think he is from france. So have a non-verbal video reaches more ppl in the long run. Not ever origami tutorial can be a huge production. I think his videos with the conventional folding diagrams are adequate. Maybe you can get familiar with origami diagrams to get a better sense of these tutorials.
Google Translate: Hi, Jo! I folded figure out of paper A4, model turned out sloppy, but looks great, thanks!
please position the model where it is easier to see what you are doing. It is very hard to comprehend what is happening when it is covered by fingers or is at an odd angle
You'll get the hang of it! Origamis don't have to look super-perfect, just keep going and have a good time doing them. Remember that practise makes perfect! :)
He has plenty of easy level models to make. Start with those and then progress up to the level of difficulty for the models you want to eventually make :) The difficulty level is always shown in the video description and I think he has playlists of tutorials organised by difficulty too. And don't forget, a lot of the models he makes use tissue foil paper. This makes a BIG difference to the end result.
to be honest... it's a bit challenging choice for second origami in my life
It truly is cuz you’ve skipper a lot of levels of origami
You’ll get the hang of it
Good Möring
Just go one step at a time, treat each fold as if it's the only step, and you will end up with the finished product
lmao 😆
Thank you for these clear instructions. I had fun folding it. And I painted a street art graffiti mural in London, based on this fantastic model.
Thank you Jo. The rabbit is not the first mural based on a model folded from your instructions. Hope you will find a moment sometime to check out the video and see how I turned the model into large scale graffiti murals.

There are tons of reference points. You could have seen them with a bit of editing. Not everyone has tiny perfect Asian hands.
@@odium3691 that comment was about steps without reference points. I can't edit and show a reference point that does not exists
@@odium3691 not very kind
I totally lost him at "Shape the hind leg." :(
Make me wanna try !
I got lost there too

back legs are a nightmare. Ended up making them look alike but didn't follow all the steps.
Just finished it! The paper I used was a bit too thick for this, and it made a lot of the folds much more difficult than they were. I'm still fairly happy with how it turned out, though :)

@Maloriar yes, that's it! I'll have to delete the english later, but it is easier to check if everything is ok this way

@superkakashi96 que bom, fico muito feliz por isso!
It is easy to make, but hard to get it exactly symmetrical.
Alvin Liu it takes a lot of practice
Not too hard to me though, but hard to think out and design it , i love this video , the rabbit is beauty and just like real.

Thank you for your response. The paper in this video looks like some kind of "tissue foil" to me, and that is why I asked. Thanks again!

This thing is really hard especially the inside reverse folds but I got it u really good folder
What thickness is recommended for the paper? Is 80 Gsm all right?
i was like OMG I GOTTA DO IT! *looks at the video length* ... well, I have so much homework to do ):
Great model but kind of hard to make with all the sinks and tiny details. I coudnt reverse fold the top of head for instance
Thanks I will trie to make this origami 🥰
