    for anybody folding with kami paper/one-side-colored, start with the colored side in (first basic folds with white side outside)

    This is a great design that gives the excellent shape of this animal. The folding session of this level of difficulty is normally about 30 minutes. For those who need slower speed: At the lower right corner of the screen, click the 'gear-shape' icon to set up speed control. It should help you through the folding sequences. (The sound will be funny at various speed. You can disable the sound.) Thank you for this outstanding video!

    Beautiful design and good tutorial. Definitely not "facil" for beginners. There are different levels of origami and this one is not to be found in the easy category..Just saying, for all of those who are not sure if they want to make it.

    Finally I did it I tried this but never could do it I would come back to it and each time get farther but never made it , honestly if you feel like you can’t do it practice easier origami and always come back to a harder one that’s what I did with this one I came back to this video like about 4 times and finally managed to do it. Good luck 👍🏽

  • @korvincarry3268

    i mean, good tutorial, but it was kinda fast. i frequently had to pause, go back, and figure out what you did. especially for some of the folds where you just kinda flicked your wrist and 3 new folds were made and im sitting here thinking youre a magician of some sort. also, at the beginning you could say a size for the paper because my fox came out super tiny (not helping with folding at all). i also have a question though because ive just been using paper ive found around the house, so what type of paper should i get, and where can i buy it?

    • @iaminyourhouse2238

  • @JoeStoneArt

    I would love to have that fox but the lighting makes is really difficult to just see the layer or the folding. Maybe use darker paper or stop once in a while to show the layers/ the paper in general so one could check the form.

  • @natashapeiyigoh3795
    @natashapeiyigoh3795 6 років тому +4

    in my honest opinion, I really liked this video. Perhaps it's the lighting and also the colour of the paper making certain steps harder to see, but overall it was very nice. I greatly prefer your kind of origami tutorial compared to other kinds where the person keeps talking. Maybe this style just isn't for everyone.
    And to those people who complain about a messy outcome, perhaps taking the effort to invest in some origami paper wouldn't hurt. I really don't see how expensive origami paper can get(get the cheap ones!). Also, how else are you supposed to explain how to fold origami? Don't you just see and follow what's shown? Then again, the lighting and the colour of the paper. Or maybe that's just me. Sorry.
    I guess my bit of 'advice' would be perhaps to film from different angles at the more difficult parts? Or maybe all parts? You do you. All the best!

    I had no problem folding this! It was an easy tutorial, for me at least, but I do recommend lighter paper like printer paper. Cardstock paper makes the fox look a bit wider and doesn't hold its legs together.

    This is kind of hard to follow since the paper is the same color on both sides, and some of the transitions are a little too fast to follow without repeating over and over. I'm having a lot of trouble following along and many times I'm finding the model does not have the same folds yours does even though I'm following as faithfully as possible. Very frustrating. But very cute model! Just wish I could make one for myself.

      I often use a little superglue on the between legs areas of my finished models, which stops them splaying out over time. Also, if you find it's a little unbalanced and won't stand, using some blu tac inside (placing it in with tweezers to get it correctly between the folds) both prevents opening out and you can use it to weight the model so it stands more securely.

    • @Drstrange3000
      @Drstrange3000 8 років тому +5

      You can make some tissue foil for these kinds of models so it stays in place. It is a much cheaper alternative than buying online. You just need strong tissue paper, aluminum foil, adhesive of some kind that you can spread over the paper evenly. I foam brush or anything to evenly lay the glue onto the paper. Also add a little bit of water to the glue. It will make the paper less clumpy. You can also use spray adhesive. You also need a nice flat surface and lay something over it so you don't damage it. You can also use a glass plane as a surface. Optional: Exacto knife/scissors, something heavy to lay on top of paper so it stays, ruler, and patience!

    Can I just ask, is there a reason that Origami tutorial makers are in such a rush? Is it about trying to keep the tutorial from being too long? Does it come across as being more accomplished if you do it really quickly? Because really for anyone learning a new model it's just frustrating and inaccessible really, it's like you're not actually really making this video to show newcomers how to make something but rather to prove something or beat some kind of clock? I just want to understand.. Was it maybe that you actually just really needed to pee?

    omg I love the outcome! Mine is a little weird but that’s because I used normal paper cut into a square, but anyways, i will be sure to make an army of foxes :)

    This is definitely not a tutorial. been sitting here for an hour and its impossible to even tell what folds you make half the time i quit at 6 mins, at least pause from time to time and explain where each fold is going please.

    Lo respeto mucho a usted, creo que es maravilloso su trabajo, de muy alto nivel. Pero lo califiqué negativo porque no se puede seguir su video. Lo hace más rápido todo en los momentos de mayor complicación. Tal vez usted no desea que muchos lo logren.

    It's pretty hard yes, but if you really want to complete this one, set the speed to 0.50 or 0.25 and pay attention to hand position like turning left or right like up or down, it worked for me and I'm a beginner🤗

    Not recommended unless you're super patient and have got all day to follow these complication steps.
    Good design but too fast w/o explanation, bad choice of bright colour paper and light, even with 0.25 speed you can't tell which is outside, up or down, they all look the same.
    Should make another video with 2 colours paper that people can see clearly inside from out, it could solve a lot of problems for audiences.
    And please, try not to block the paper with your hands, we can't see layers, can't see progress, just your hands, it's even worse when you've got no explanation.
    Thank you for your effort but it makes me VERY FRUSTRATING with this one.
    Please make a new video, thanks.

    STEPS TO MAKING A TUTORIAL:
    1. Move at the viewers pace
    2. Use you words
    3. Use those words to describe which side is coloured and which isn’t
    3. USE YOUR BRAIN INSTEAD OF LETTING PEOPLE EXPLAIN THIS BASIC KINDERGARTEN STUFF TO YOU
