- Here I try my best to customize ot kitbash a Valaverse Action Force Special Ops trooper into a "better"(?) John Bernthal Netflix Punisher.

Awesome! Definitely seal it with some matte clear mr hobby spray. The spec ops figures can be a bit glossy and cause hot spots easier during photography. Are you on instagram?
Just something to consider with the Mr Hobby products, most Gunpla kits are ABS plastic, with Valaverse figures, the weapons are ABS, but the figure body is PVC (the joints are POM), which may explain why the setter seemed to be soaking in. ABS isn't porous almost at all, it's also much harder to paint, PVC not only has a rougher surface but it also drinks acrylic print pretty readily. Looks good dude, thanks for the demo.

I have this same Punisher in my display but I took off the trench coat, put the belt from the MCU Killmonger on him, a shoulder harnessed pistol from a Red Skull, a leg holstered pistol from a GI Joe figure and have him holding an assault rifle. I wanted to make it look like he was going to war.

It's really fun but the waterslide decal was nerve-wracking. I haven't done those in at least a few decades 😅

Cool idea. For future projects with Valaverse figures you can warm the figure and take the upper torso off of the lower torso. That should be helpful when painting or applying decals 👍
Thanks! Yes, Valaverse figures are very friendly to kitbashing. I didn't feel I needed to disassemble for this straightforward/entry level modification.

I love using waterslide but i find that the softener shribbles up once dry but putting a sealer definitely fixing it

To just finish this figure offer would be to add the coat price from the marvel legends figure or get a soft goods one add some holsters and it’s perfect
I don't really like trench coats on my punisher figures. But the belts/gear I totally agree! I have a plan for something arriving soon 😉
I would have put the skull on the black Valaverse Vest instead of the figures torso if you aren't doing a street wear trench coat version of Frank. That said the beats DO have a bunch of stuff that would kind of get in the way now that I think about it. Be cool if Valaverse did a plate carrier vest without any pouches on it as an option.
I agree 100%. I am still looking for some sort of vest or harness to add some bulk to this very lean looking frank. I know Valaverse teased a muscular body recently, but I think that's too big for the MCU/netflix version as played by Bernthal. If I do find a vest (maybe gnomes workshop), I still have a couple decals left and I can give it a shot!
