This week we discuss steamboat models for the layout. Ken Gives an update on his modeling this week. Mike shares the Walthers coil car along with new vehicle models. Joshua shares his new clouds he is modeling for his layout room. Steve Mantia shares some N scale finds he has made. Daniel Coombs updates us on a SoundTraxx Video he is shooting. Ken Shares lowboy trailers for hauling construction equipment.
Great idea on the clouds that you created Josh.
Fantastic show as always. Met Denny Jelsma in Jacksonville @ the rail fair... He says, "Hello to all". Came up from Tampa . Great show. You guys are right, Denny's stuff is awesome. I placed a hat order. Can't wait to get it.
Ok, back to lurking mode and blue box dcc conversions.
awesome show guys thx for the post and have a great day 😊😊👍👍👍,
Another great show. Thanks for sharing.
What a nice show! I love the runby's! I always look forward to Mike's projects! This is "The World's Greatest Hobby" Red Board Hobby is in my hometown Belleville, Illinois, Mr. Paul Fries. Till Next Time! MoPac Jack Rock N' Roll Forever... "Always Keep It On The Main" 🚂
that train is awesome.😊😊👍👍👍👍
Thanks Mike, Ken and the rest in the gang thanks for the motivation and letting me know what's going on outside these doors, I've seen one train since August 22, and been indoors healing from a bad infection tunneling up through my tailbone, fellow modelers, take care of yourself first then the trains can come later, this hobby is only getting better over time.
And I'm not letting them taking the X Acto blade away, I've found other ways to get around this kink in the rail. I've bought some snips that has worked well and some friends have brought me some new tools and I know better now that this isn't my work bench so when I'm done, I put my tools away and out of sight. Happy Model Railroading everyone 🚆!
Great to hear from you, Brad!!
Great show!! Those lowboys are awesome! They are easy to light up with LED's and a micro switch!
Thank you for another brilliant show
Thanks gang - after all these year watching, 'Up Thumbing' and positive comments -
you've got me trained...
hello Ken & Holly &Mike & Richard & Steve & Daniel & it's is Randy and i like yours Video is cool Thanks Ken Friends Randy
Good Show Guys
Loving the new intro 👍👍👍
Joshua those clouds are spectacular!
Great show and commentry, but the intro was very cool. I may have to review my intro after that 'raising the bar'. Sales are good in the hobby!
THAT JOSH FELLA REALLY HAS IT GOIN' ON WITH THE RAMPANT CLOUDS!
Fantastic
Just a note; The Delta Queen is at least for now in the beginning stages of restoration, however the new Feb regs state that wooden steam river boats no longer certifiable for passenger service?? Was posted on the New Orleans Uncovered page.
Josh: That bridge was on the CRI&P at Davenport, Iowa on the Mississippi, and Abe Lincoln, was the atty for the RR.
Give some canopy glue a shot on the ladders.
Another great show in the books!!
Hi Ken, by Athearn I used canopy glue to glued loose parts on my cars
The Great Plunkersylanian Train Show was well attended, and all spoke positively.
I have plans to build an HO Lake Champlain Transportation Co "M.V. Adirondack" Automobile Ferry for my Port Kent, NY scene on my Delaware & Hudson Champlain Division layout.
Love the show as always, Ken.
Delrin and Glue. Not going to happen :( We LOVE Delrin / Acetal in my engineering life. But you can forget about gluing it to anything :(
The Delta Queen’s running mate, the Delta King, is a hotel and restaurant on the riverfront in Sacramento, Ca.
Johnny Carson had pencils with eraser on both ends. He used to like tap them on his desk.
If you like old steamship history, make a trip to Kansas City and go thru the Arabia Museum. The Arabia sank in the Missouri river in 1856 and was located and recovered in 1988. Its a time capsule of goods that were headed to the frontier pre civil war.
And great show gang
Mike - DieCast Masters worked a deal with Menards and has/had 5 different configurations of truck-tractor and hauled equipment available.
Thank you, Russ!
Grande abraço pessoal !!!
Canadian Pacific / CP Rail never hauled iron ore or taconite in Minnesota. The CP Rail cars you have are pretty close to the ones they used in iron ore service (red ore, not taconite pellets) in Ontario, north of Lake Huron.
I have never seen the prototypes…are they still in use?
I remember the pac man train all set up on the layout when I was there. and that was the first year you guys were doing this show.
My favorite part of the show is when Joshua tosses the pencil
Not too many modelers can beat me with 54 years of collecting trains. Not happy about the high prices, but I would like to see better pricing on package deals. More discounts on ten-car packs, more discounts on engine with matching five-car packs, and so on. Please don't insult us by these lame 10% off coupons. Nuff said.
Lets bring back Sparky107107!!
Dave is always welcome on our show!😉
Yes Steve. The Postal Disservice has become simply pathetic! There should be several federal investigations going on as to why!
