But she told me to check these UA-cam videos. I hope my strength returns to my hand. Still in pain near the wrist which was maybe the cast was tight.

how often should I perform these exercises? I saw another video and they recommended to only do this once every couple of days to not over strain the nerve,is that generally the idea?
While trying to move a heavy storage shed in the backyard with some friends, I suddenly felt snapping warm sensation in my ring finger. I immediately thought I must've compressed a nerve. While searching the net, I found out I may have compressed the ulnar nerve. I think this video will help. It has been a day, and I still feel a bit of warmth in the ring and small finger. After doing these exercises it felt a bit better for few minutes. Hopefully it will help, if I continue to do these exercises.
+Jamie Dreyer Follow up question for you: Can Overflossing be a potential issue? I was given a workload by my PT (who knows me well) to do only 1 set of 10 head tilts (w/ arm extended, think 'little teapot song') per day which seems really light. I'm usually a 3 sets of 6-10 concentrated reps type, I work it in w/ my mobility drill series (been working in your stuff as well, picking 1 different drill to work each day) I'm 33 yrs old, good all around shape/condition & health, with a strong Personal Trainer foundation just to give you an idea, I work a sedentary 9-5 these days which I know contributes to the problem but it has greatly been reduced since I began working your stuff in a few weeks ago and no problems since my pt appt last week. Hi Jamie. I've recently developed Ulnar nerve issues and turned to youtube to learn more. Love all your videos and have started doing the exercises. I am a bit confused as I have seen no mention of the cervical spine and its relationship to the Ulnar nerve. A physical therapist has suggested that the C7 is causing my pain and numbness yet I've not seen it mentioned in any youtube video and I watched many. Just looking for your thoughts on this....
I think this is going to be very helpful! I could feel a nice stretch on the first exercise just sitting at my desk here! Been getting a "popping" on certain triceps exercises (triceps pushups, extensions with weights). It's been more annoying than anything, and until recently an elbow brace helped. Two days ago, one pop made my pinky numb for a few minutes - I'm thinking either golfer's elbow or ulnar nerve. Is there something else I should consider? (Yes, I've stopped with the triceps pushups - never liked them anyway! - and I'm reducing the weights I use for extensions until I figure this out).
First of all thank you very much for this helpful video. Today I tried to repeat the exercises but it gave me a little bit of pain when I started. Then I immediately stopped because I was afraid of getting injured. Do you think that's normal. Please tell me that's normal. I want to continue :)
Damn, this is so simple.. yet surprisingly helpful!? Thank you man so much!! Anyways, for some reason, your style and your voice kind of reminds of Curtis Armstrong, who has a great voice! Just sayin'! Keep up the great work!
I just discovered that it is my ulnar nerve that is pinched about an hour ago. I have been numb from my wrist to my fingers for at least a couple of months now. Probably from the way I sleep. I am also a bass player and have an online business so no surprises here. At first we thought diabetes, since everyone in my family seems to get it (I got tested and I do not have diabetes). My aunt was certain that it was carpal tunnel, but a good friend of mine insisted that I do my homework before I let anyone operate on me (and that was a reminder, cuz DANG!) Anyways. I am grateful that I came across your video. I bookmarked it and am already doing the exercises. I will let you know how things progress. Thank you
Friend help me with, what your experience through the exercise. I am having numbness and coldness for the last two days. Kindly tell the results after this exercise. I am waiting for your reply.
my results says: spontaneous medial dislocation of the left ulnar nerve on flexion with spontaneous relocation. This finding can be a cause of snapping triceps syndrome , ulnar neuropathy or chronic elbow pain. what is a possible suggestion for fisioteraphy given this result?, thank you
My right arm tingles very bad after throwing or curling something. Tingles from shoulder to ring and pinky finger and feels numb for 20 minutes later. Will go to Dr Monday.
Jamie thanks for the video! Are there any exercises that should be avoided while having ulnar nerve entrapment? I’ve been experiencing the feeling for 3 months now and improved my behavior but not being able to workout is killing me!
I wasn't able to straighten my arm for a little over eight weeks. When I would try to straighten it, my lower forearm and part of my wrist would tingle and go numb. Now I just get a tingly feeling in my wrist/ forearm. However when I sleep I'll wake up with my pinky and ring finger completely numb. Any advice? Thank you!
I'm questions if the ability (or lack of) to make "the mask" and get a full stretch comprises the effectiveness. No pain but it's a full stretch that the thumb and index finger can't reach.
hi I've had ulnar nerve 3rd and 4th finger for the last 7 yrs. I did some of your flossing and felt relief , I've been a musician 'Guitarist" for many yrs. Since, I'm in my 60's and had a cardio problem, I would like to avoid surgery for ulnar nerve entrapment surgery as a Dr. prescribed had acupuncture and felt relief. I don't want to spend any more time then I have to Cause I've met a few people that have had the surgery and they still have trouble with the nerve problem. If I do continously your flossing and acupuncture, as I've done before, you think I can avoid surgery? I don't wannah damage the problem even more or limit myself with the surgery like I know another musician still has.
Hi Jamie, I need your advise, my MRI elbow says (I believe now I don't have neither tennis nor golfer's), what are the exercises shall I follow ?: There is a minimal joint effusion the chondral are preserved the osseous structures are normal the collateral and annular ligaments are intact there appears to be mid thickening and increased signal of the ulnar nerve at the level of the cubital tunnel without a clear extrinsic compression with small adjacent vessels, most notably at the proximal aspect of tunnel. the common flexor and extensor, biceps abd triceps are normal. The muscles are unremarkable
I just got caught doing the mask with elbow reach as someone walked past my office and had to explain after fake holding and stretching my elbow in hopes she didn't see the mask. Too much twitch flexing from playing Street Fighter I believe is the cause because it hurts when I flex my arm the same way as when I rapid fire the buttons on the controller. I also feel it when I completely straighten out my arm. After doing the exercises just now for the first time, the pain is gone when I straighten my arm but I can still feel it when I flex. I imagine maybe the nerve is irritated and could take some time for that to go away? Anyway, great video.
I cannot turn my hands upside down/around to make the mask, so I guess that's my first goal. A friend said I would need surgery, but these are helping a lot.
Hi sir Jaime Good Day. I have these numbness and tingling in my side palm and in my pinky and half of my ring when i did grass cutting last month so i seek my doctor she said that it was ulnar nerve entrapment and here I am so desperate to get rid of these numbness in my hand bcoz on these coming days i will be working on board the ship. Thats why im so worried and i cant cancel my work bcoz this is my first time. Ive been doing these yesterday and now. This morning i felt too much pain but a while ago it disappear and back to normal i think its getting better would u mind if ask some question. How long this numbness go away while doing this home remedy? Btw i felt this numbness 1month now. Im so desperate to get rid of this and i dont want surgery bcoz if i cancel my work i will be jobless anymore. So thank you for this video it helps me a little and looking forward for healing this injury in Gods will.
If your doctor said it was nerve entrapment and it began after doing a bunch of yard work, I'd go see a strong massage therapist who understands which muscle could be pressing down on your ulnar nerve. Check out my blog post for some additional things you can do yourself. overhaultraining.com/ulnar-nerve-entrapment-treatment/
i have cubital tunnel syndrome from playing guitar and it makes my elbow click whenver i do pushups or tricep exerises.do you think doing these flossing exercises will cure this. ive not played guitar for nearly a year or exercised and i still have it quite bad
Tony Smith yeah I got it from guitar. I quit it as well and can't lift. I only improved when I took time off work and started going to the chiro for massage and graston. It improved alot with seeing a chiro who is good.
@@III_Eagle_III not fully but able to resume moderate activity. It was thoracic outlet syndrome. I no longer play guitar and lift at half capacity now at least.
@@s-viv9232 thanks for the quick response man. hat to hear about the guitar part. I believe i have mild cubital tunnel syndrome. no problems with fingers but elbow area is restricted. the mask stretch with the ok-ay sign upside down i feel it in the left elbow.
@@III_Eagle_III yo dude, i've been looking at comments and you were asking everyone how were they. How are you, did your elbow healed? And if it did, how? I have the same issue and every opinion is appriciated
Been rolling and stretching it to no avail but since commenting on this ive been to a physio and have been instructed to foam roll the back of my shoulder as he thinks thats what was tight and as they share an attachment site was causing problems.
All the videos i've seen of these nerve glides say to do them once a day or every other day because nerves are sensitive, etc. But is it actually better to do them more often?
I'm facing this problem from past 7yrs. Will try these exercises. Can u please tell me, how many rounds of these exercises should I do ? Hope I will get relief from my pain 🙏
After playing the guitar for 25+ years, I started getting tingling in my 4th and 5th fingers, then they turned numb after a week. After doing these exercises and using a massage roller they're now at least tingling again. I also wear a arm splint at night to keep my elbow straight. Can't stop playing the guitar :-/
@@III_Eagle_III just saw this, a couple months after my original post I had surgery on the inside of my left elbow, relocating the ulnar nerve. This mostly fixed the issue, I still have very faint tingling every now and then, but my guitar playing has not suffered. I pretty much have full use of my ring and pinky fingers now. Don't wait, if you are experiencing compression of the ulnar nerve, the quicker you seek medical attention the more likely you will resume full use!
Why don’t you use a subject that is in the 50s or 60s that has arthritis… wrist problems and an ulnar nerve problem and see if they can do all these fucked up positioning you’re asking us to get into to solve our problem get in the real fucking world!!

I need your advise, my MRI elbow says (I believe now I don't have neither tennis nor golfer's), what are the exercises shall I follow ?:
There is a minimal joint effusion
the chondral are preserved
the osseous structures are normal
the collateral and annular ligaments are intact
there appears to be mid thickening and increased signal of the ulnar nerve at the level of the cubital tunnel without a clear extrinsic compression with small adjacent vessels, most notably at the proximal aspect of tunnel.
the common flexor and extensor, biceps abd triceps are normal.
The muscles are unremarkable
update?

@@michaelgo984 you dealing with same thing? if so go away?
@@III_Eagle_III how are you?
@@ThePushItCo Mine i can still feel in certain movements. Has got better but yet to ever fully go away. i hope to see a specialist again. :(
I just got caught doing the mask with elbow reach as someone walked past my office and had to explain after fake holding and stretching my elbow in hopes she didn't see the mask. Anyway, great video.
how are you doing now? ever go away?

And also i felt popping something on my triceps also when i do this stretching most likely the last one with plate, is it safe sir?
If your doctor said it was nerve entrapment and it began after doing a bunch of yard work, I'd go see a strong massage therapist who understands which muscle could be pressing down on your ulnar nerve. Check out my blog post for some additional things you can do yourself. overhaultraining.com/ulnar-nerve-entrapment-treatment/
i cant do the mask my elbows are forced forward i cant make them go back while still being able to do the mask
@@JamieSDreyer2 monthes before with glass cut my ulnar nerve and tendon is injured but after surgery is this exercises injured my nerve and tendon
i have cubital tunnel syndrome from playing guitar and it makes my elbow click whenver i do pushups or tricep exerises.do you think doing these flossing exercises will cure this. ive not played guitar for nearly a year or exercised and i still have it quite bad
Tony Smith yeah I got it from guitar. I quit it as well and can't lift. I only improved when I took time off work and started going to the chiro for massage and graston. It improved alot with seeing a chiro who is good.
@@s-viv9232 Ever find relief? Or go away fully?
Cannot do that at all.
My tendons that attach my tricep to my ulnar is super tight when training, will this help that?
Been rolling and stretching it to no avail but since commenting on this ive been to a physio and have been instructed to foam roll the back of my shoulder as he thinks thats what was tight and as they share an attachment site was causing problems.
how many times a day should these stretches be done?
All the videos i've seen of these nerve glides say to do them once a day or every other day because nerves are sensitive, etc. But is it actually better to do them more often?
@@Akusa202 Ever find relief? Or go away fully? Please let me know.
I'm facing this problem from past 7yrs.
Will try these exercises.
Can u please tell me, how many rounds of these exercises should I do ?
Hope I will get relief from my pain 🙏
can you give an update? did this help?
@@pandakuchen2299 I didn't do it on regular basis, and now I can feel same sensation on other side too😫😫😫😫
Will need to do on regularly now
2 sets of ten each daily is good. After 7 years you should find a great massage therapist in your area too.
I started doing these exercises 3 times a day and now it's not just pain in my hands, it got worse now my elbows hurt as well. Please help!
how is ur hand now?
After playing the guitar for 25+ years, I started getting tingling in my 4th and 5th fingers, then they turned numb after a week. After doing these exercises and using a massage roller they're now at least tingling again. I also wear a arm splint at night to keep my elbow straight. Can't stop playing the guitar :-/
how are you doing now?
Hola como sigues ahora, también toco guitarra
@@III_Eagle_III just saw this, a couple months after my original post I had surgery on the inside of my left elbow, relocating the ulnar nerve. This mostly fixed the issue, I still have very faint tingling every now and then, but my guitar playing has not suffered. I pretty much have full use of my ring and pinky fingers now. Don't wait, if you are experiencing compression of the ulnar nerve, the quicker you seek medical attention the more likely you will resume full use!
How many times do these exercises need to be repeated?
Ever find relief? Or go away fully? Please let me know as well as how long months it took?
I think you do these a bit too fast, it's too painful for me to do them this quickly

Why don’t you use a subject that is in the 50s or 60s that has arthritis… wrist problems and an ulnar nerve problem and see if they can do all these fucked up positioning you’re asking us to get into to solve our problem get in the real fucking world!!
Thank you so much for your helpful comment! If you give me a detailed list of issues you feel my subjects should have and several people who have them that are willing to travel to me when I film, I’d be happy to use them.
