Man, it's sad to see you go. Your channel helped me to be a better driver in FM, but mostly, I remember enjoying your videos because they were legit. A person who gracefully voices his opinion, it's one of the most difficult things to find these days in YT. Thank you for being sincere and taking the time to make content. Cheers mate!
Found you back in the days of Forza 6, had some good racing with you on Forza 7 livestreams, kept watching on and Its really sad but inevitable...Forza isnt the same and the devs neglected us, I wish you all the best 🙏🏼
A sad end to an era, but an inevitable one. It's a bit hard to keep driving when there's no roads that lead anywhere. Thanks for keeping me and many others engaged with your content over the past several years. I hope those Westies continue to treat you well. 🙏
Will certainly miss your work, but you gotta do you. It takes a fair bit of introspection to realize your own worth and determine if something is worthwhile to continue or not. Your Gran Turismo vids got me back into playing, but the most recent release has spent more time on a shelf collecting dust than in my PS5. Again, will miss your stuff but good on you for wanting a brighter, more satisfying future.
Been around for the last five ish years, its been a fun ride and i've loved all the content you've put out. I remember jumping into a few subscriber races in the FM7 days and a few IOTW FM7 submissions. Much Love, best of luck for the future!
Found your channel with the GT Sport IOTW and followed with the Forza content, sad to see it come to a end but enjoyed the ride! Thank you for the hard work you have put in and best wishes and good luck for what is next. Know you will kill it!
All the best Devon. Seems like a lot of the veterans from the Forza Community are leaving. Such a shame! I hope to return (eventually) but a lot needs resolution by T10 to bring the spark back and return the features we knew and loved. Hope something catches your eye to keep making videos. Take care [AB]
Thanks for all the content pal. Found your channel through Super GT and I always enjoyed the ‘idiots of the week’ videos. Yourself and Steve hosting one final edition of the series would be a fitting send off for the channel.
Cheers, buddy. Same boat here. I appreciate the idiots of the week, and other ideas that you brought to the community. One of the best racing channels right here. Thank you.
Shame to see you stop uploading, but understandable. I really enjoyed your Idiots Of The Week videos, especially back in Forza 6 & 7. I've pretty much given up on Motorsport as well, only because it seems to run worse and worse on my PC every time I try to play. Granted I'm only just above the minimum spec requirement, but that shouldn't mean I can't get past the Optimizing Shaders screen without it crashing. I can't afford new PC parts or a Series X right now, so I'm stuck watching my Forza-playing Discord group of friends play without me.
If this is the finale I want to say thank you for all the entertainment throughout all the years. I starred watching your videos a few months into FM7's lifespan and I always liked your advocacy for clean online racing and passion for Forza. Thank you for the years of entertainment and I wish you well on whatever endeavors you embark on in the future.
I bought GT Sport on a whim in 2021 because it ridiculously cheap and I fell in love. And I don’t know how the UA-cam algorithms figured it out, but it started recommending GT content and it’s how I came across your channel and IotW. You’re right about modern gaming. I bought GT7 and it was meh. But this whole generation has been meh. I ended up giving my PS5 away. But thank you for the years of great content. I binged all IotW videos, Forza and GT, great stuff. It was my way to relax at the end of the day. Good luck on your future endeavors, of course, and I hope you can find something to get passionate about and truly enjoy.
Very refreshing, candid and honest take. Will miss your content and dry humour, if it’s any consolation I enjoyed your forza videos and iv never played the game. Best of luck in the future and with your next ventures I’m sure you will smash it 👍🍻
It's been a good run and IOTW was a highlight of my week for a long time. I admit to not watching your channel as much once GT7 released and sucked so bad and I've stopped racing for a time. I wish you the best sir.
Gotta say, I haven't been subscribed for very long (6 months maybe) but I have always enjoyed your content (positive and negative) because it's nice to really hear other people's perspective. I think the point you were talking about, with people mainly watching negative things is very similar to how people interact with each other these days. It seems as humans, we can't even have civilized conversations anymore without it blowing up into a full on argument due to different views on topics. It's sad! Used to be, people could still have conversations and remain friends, even if they disagree with each others views and opinions. I have a my own channel as well and mainly used it to post videos of me actually racing ATV Motocross. I never cared about the number of views or subscribers. I just posted to share my experience with others in hopes they would enjoy it. If they did, fantastic! If they didn't, that's great too!! I started posting Forza videos for the same reason. Just to share experiences with others. Never cared if even a single person watched it. You have to do what makes you happy. If you try to do everything to please others, you might as well put screen doors on submarines!! Also, just a quick laugh for you. I'm 48 years old and have been playing Forza since it's original release on Xbox. I've played them all (including the horrendous Horizon where $300K Lambos can blow through brick walls and be just fine) and FM4 and FM6 are still my favorite by far, but I wanted to mention....... I still have 5 or 6 fidget spinners and use them daily!!! LOL I bought one back in 2018 to help keep my hands busy so I could quit smoking. I still have yet to have a cigarette since June 11th 2018 and I still use my fidget spinner every day to just keep my hands busy and help keep me from wanting a cigarette! I truly hope you find something you enjoy and you choose to share it with us in the future!! I will look forward to seeing more content from you in the future!! Even if just to drop a vid to say hello to those of us who truly enjoy your content! See you soon! Wishing you all the best Devon!
Forza killed their own game. They removed things shown in the trailer ffs... why do we have drift suspension but no drift gamemode or driftscore system? Bathurst shouldve been in the game from launch, same as nordsleife... this drip feeding of content isnt the way. Not to mention that god awefull car upgrade point system..
Absolutely right. The game only feels like 80 percent complete. I absolutely hate the career mode with all the weekly bs, just give us the old style career at least so people who prefer career can have endless fun. I cant get my fill of drifting on new motorsport, I'm still jumping back on 7 to fulfill that need. How do they not see and know this? Or are they just that lazy or lack the talent to work on the game and make it what the players want. It sucks. They need to do better.
Not really a surprise. For instance, I can't remember the last time Super GT uploaded a video about Forza. Many others simply disappeared. All the best for the future!
I'm with you. I got the 1000 gamerscore for Forza 2023 and don't see the point in going back. The career length was too short, the car levelling up system is a joke and the lack of tracks was the biggest disappointment. I'm thankful I never sold my Xbox 360 and didn't complete the HUGE career (event list) in FM3 and 4, I'll be be going back there.
A legend of the game, you gave up way past what most of us did! TziTziFly here and I gave up on Forza even before the release of the latest tragedy. We battled quite often in S class and R class, though I was mainly focussed on rivals all throughout my Forza carreer. Picked up ACC for a while, but I just can't bring myself to grinding all the way to the top anymore. It was fun while it lasted, we competed at the absolute pinnacle of the game and we still have the ghost replays to enjoy from time to time! We did not know how good we had it!
It's said far too often but in this case I think it fitting: It's an end of an era. When I first began my foray into sim racing you were a regular weekly fixture. I always had a smile on my face when seeing that you had a drop, ✨️. Thanks for all the entertainment, knowledge and laughs that you have shared, you will be missed. All the very best for you and your's and wished happy times ahead, 🫂. Sad like deployed 👍 😎🎙🏎✅️
Found your channel late, while I was looking to see if there were any reasons to start up Forza Motorsport 😸. I've been watching since (even though there weren't any reasons!) and I'm sorry you're stopping. I really liked your videos and listening to you. Best of luck.
Had a good time watching and occasionally randomly racing you on Forza. It’s a shame but in a way I’m glad you’ve moved on from chasing UA-cam I mean that in a positive way). Your comment about racing games basically being boring/lacking passion is so true. I know people love GT7 but I just can’t bring myself to like it…it feels soulless. I miss FM4 and the early Dirt games. I hugely miss a good old arcade racer too…but I did grow up in the 90s and spent far too much time playing Daytona/Sega Rally 1&2, Scud Racer etc etc…nothing will ever live up to those glory days for me. Anyway…maybe I’ll watch you again in the future! Take it easy bro 🤝👊
All the best mate! Feel you totally...I was a massive fanboy in the FM3/FM4 times and have lost any interest...and still love to play FM3 or 4 on the 360 I have still hooked up in my office.
the only hope right now is an indie semi-arcade game called nightrunners. It plays great, use maintenance mechanics like gran turismo. And when it launches, it will feature multiplayer support. The first impression for a prologue (Free on steam) was pretty decent, despite the game currently has some technical issues, its a solid experience. (i know it looks like i'm shilling the game, but honestly i tried it and i was entertained compared to recent AAA slop) Nowadays indies care more than AAA corporates, and it shows. The lamest part of all of this is how the old stuff, play better than the new stuff.
Hi Devon. I would love to see some more IOTW, the iracing videos is a far cry from the quality you had, also never got to see the first episode of 'wife plays GT7' 😂
Maybe pivot to other games or the racing genre in general? Test Drive Solar Crown just came out so maybe there's something in there, and you can always play the older games and make a video on why they worked so well (Ridge Racer Type 4 and Gran Turismo 3/4 come to mind). You could get a few videos out of that as well, comparing older games to newer games and so on. Definitely play RRT4 if you haven't though; it's pretty wild playing a game that was designed with a player first mentality in the modern era.
I’m a bit late to this, but sad to see you go. I completely understand what you mean by racing games losing their soul, it’s just a bit samey nowadays. UA-cam is a horrible place for a creator, fair play for doing it for so long. Hope you can find something better to do with your time now! Sad to see you go though
I'm kinda split on it. I criticize T10 and their stupid decision making heavily, and the game isn't really in the state it should be in... But at the same time, we have been having the best organized racing on it we have had in several titles now. Rose-tinted glasses will make people go "but FM6!" but now our draft works better, tire compounds, tire wear multiplier, etc all help make for better on-track action. Sadly though, T10 don't seem smart enough to use those things to make engaging content for career/public lobbies, so I get why people who just want to bounce around hoppers are much less interested. It doesn't help the community is so divided though either. They want ADHD-friendly 5 minute races with totally open builds so they can race Civics against Ferraris, but then also complain when the driving standard is poor, classes aren't balanced. People are demanding more hoppers for more classes and divisions, yet also complaining the lobbies aren't full enough. Lack of direction/focus was a major criticism for the series then turn around and complain about no drag racing, no drifting, no rallying, no motorcycles (?), and so on. I know it wasn't a totally serious comment, but I just don't see what adding Fujimi Kaido or point to point racing would add to a circuit racing game in terms of "life" or whatever. Kinda the equivalent of these failing movie franchises bringing back old characters to make everyone excited out of nostalgia, but they end up in a minor role with 8 minutes of screen time looking depressingly old and decrepit and the movie still sucks anyway (Star Wars...). I guess drifting is coming back and that would be nice at Fujimi, but it's useless for racing meaning it will basically be a novelty that some people would fire it up for and play around in test drive and go "huh yeah that's Fujimi alright" and be bored again within 2 weeks. Better to spend their time on making the game work better and making circuit racing better, seeing as it's the core of the game. Farewell for now though. You put out consistent quality and I watched pretty much everything and could expect a reasonable take and I very very rarely found anything to disagree with. Will be hopeful you rediscover some passion for racing game stuff or find a new way to look at it and pop up again.
Sorry to hear it. I don't watch this channel as often as I used to, but maybe it's for the reasons you give about the games, Forza, gran turismo and many other racing games have become boring and lack innovation. I still find you entertaining, so hopefully we get to still see you on UA-cam. Good luck with future ventures
Negative content is produced when the games being reviewed do not uphold to the demand of the gamers. Unfortunately, I think this holds true of a lot of things in life today ever since big companies started taking over every industry, including gaming(minus the people and friends you make (it's corny but it's true)). I'm supportive of the negative content you've made, as it's more honest than the people that give postiive reviews that were probably paid to make such reviews/commentary in the first place. I initially unsubbed, but subbed again, as if you ever do make a video, I might watch. Best of luck in your next adventures, and I'm glad you gave content creating a shot.
Totally understandable. I haven't really played any racing games recently for the same reason, they all just feel dead compared to how they used to for some reason. GT sport online was good fun when it thrived, but it seemed to really slow down with GT7, which is where I pretty much lost interest.
Forza killed their own game. Once I found out that I have to grind in each vehicle to modify it, I was out. I'm in my mid-thirties. When I have time to play, I want to buy whatever car my heart desires, tune it however I feel, without nedlessly having to grind the game. They tried to get the play time bumbers up, to secure more funding. And it backfired on them spectacularly
I remember running against you in PCars2 a few years ago and i messaged you being all excited lol. I dont blame you for decision. I only play Forza for the prototypes honestly and that's even a shit show until AC2 or Le Mans Ultimate comes to consoles.
As the years go on The previous years look better Even if the future look bleaker than ever The coping mechanism is to play old games but even then, there were duds in the market
Sorry to hear that Devon, i honestly also gave up on Forza. I recently started iRacing, yes it’s pricey but my god it’s essentially what turn10 said Forza Motorsport would be. The online is amazing and clearly developed by people who have passion and actual knowledge about Motorsport unlike turn10
Sorry your feeling thay way, its sad how Forza have handled their main asset. Me and my mate still love the older racing games like PGR 4, Forza 3/4, NFS Underground 2 and Shift Unleashed. Those games make Forza Motorsport look like a failure. Having said that, i'm still playing Motorsport because there are any valid alternatives on Xbox at the moment, and private Multiplayer works well for me and my friend. Hope you can get back to more important things in real life that actually mean something. Thanks again.
You're not wrong. Racing games are dying. All the new sequels are not a patch on the preceding version. . Borza is just well, we all know. The crew motorfest is just boring and isn't half the game the crew 2 was.. test drive solar crown, nowere nere as good as the previous one. All they seem to do is remove all the good stuff people like and bung out what's left. . . The less said about the project cars fiasco the better. . Sad to see you go. All the best in what ever you do next
Don't come back, you've let your hatred of the game become your personality Also I managed to run away from your Discord saying the same thing before you even had a chance to kick me out of the server so jokes on you
You get thousands of views, how is that not successful? It feels like you've just lost your passion for making any kind of content. Which is absolutely fine but I don't think it has to do with racing games.
Hi Devon. Have you considered doing content on assettocorsa? There are so many mods on there you could make content with. For online racing ACC and iRacing could replace forza for you. I know it’s different but maybe you’ll like it
You should be making videos that YOU enjoy making rather than chasing subs and views. Otherwise, it's a constant anxiety to make content you think your viewers want to see. Therefore, you're less likely to *enjoy* content creation. I came for Idiots of the Week and stayed for most of your other content. I've never played Forza (in a Gran Turismo gamer since the first one) so your videos opened up my eyes to the Forza world. It was educational. Now you have an upgraded PC, experiment with content on Assetto Corsa (modded), EA WRC, the DiRT Rally series, and anything else that you enjoy. You aren't locked in to making Forza videos. You can make whatever you enjoy playing. My only request is: please bring back Idiots of the Week! 🤞😁
Motorsport is a fun game. I don't think we should expect every piece of content ever released in every Forza Motorsport game to be included in this game on day one. The expectations are kind of ridiculous. Should the game have launched with Bathurst and the nordschlife? Absolutely, but the Nurburgring got 100% redone. Completely remapped, rescanned, and restitched together just for this game. It's a brand new mesh and texture package for every returning track that has comes to Motorsport. I would rather them bring tracks to the game with modern, up to date, future proof graphics then have 100 tracks at launch but they all look like garbage. Same thing with the cars. Every time a returning to Forza car comes people lose their mind and say "oh it should have been here from the start" but if every car was to get a brand new texture, the game would never release and never have new cars. I prefer the paired back, slow additions of cars and tracks. The developers are listening to the community, the cars and tracks that are coming look amazing. I would rather a slow release of content, than a rushed rehash of all the content from past games. I'm all open for criticism and critique, but this is just dunking and insults packaged as a critique. I unsubscribed a long time ago, I'm sick of seeing the negativity around Motorsport.
dudes entire channel was based around being negative about forza. Maybe as its starting to improve he's got less shit to moan about and is struggling to make content. Good riddance.
Completely agreed. I too was disappointed when the game first launched. I felt like it was missing way too much to be worth even half it's price. But to say now that it still isn't good or worth your time is completely false, and is hating on the game for the sake of hating on the game. As you say; you can't just "launch" with all existing content. Not only would you actually have to remake all 1000+ cars that Forza has had before, and the 100s of tracks Forza had before, you'd also have to manage to get all of their licenses, with agreements with each individual company, before the game's launch. That's not do-able. And that's before you even get to any new content. People have unrealistically high hopes and standards, and get all disappointed when there's no way in this universe a company can meet those standards. Is the game the best racing game in history? No. Is it the best racing game currently supported on the market? No, probably not. Is it a bad game? Also no.
Just wanted to say that if you're tired of these titles, I recommend trying out iRacing or Asseto Corza (with mods). iRacing is more expensive but if you are looking for competitive racing that's a great place to go. AC is much more casual and more fun imo.
Sad day bro. See you on Fujimi Kaido one day 🤝
Completely understand it! Do what is best for your life. I appreciate all of the good content you have put out over the years! Cheers.
You are loved by each one of your subs and you will be missed.
Hope this isn't that last of Devon

Wish you the best mate. ❤
Thank you for everything. If you do ever come back, maybe you could check out the older Forza titles. That could be fun
Yeah, with motorsport updates its too late. Launch of the game was its killer, by what state it was.
Take care, wishing you all well! :3

Good luck in whatever you do next
Idiots of the Week was pure genius. And so cathartic when I started racing back in the GTS days!
the only hope right now is an indie semi-arcade game called nightrunners. It plays great, use maintenance mechanics like gran turismo. And when it launches, it will feature multiplayer support.
The first impression for a prologue (Free on steam) was pretty decent, despite the game currently has some technical issues, its a solid experience.
(i know it looks like i'm shilling the game, but honestly i tried it and i was entertained compared to recent AAA slop)
Nowadays indies care more than AAA corporates, and it shows. The lamest part of all of this is how the old stuff, play better than the new stuff.
you do you mate, take care all the best, will miss your humour!
dont let the door hit you in the ass on your way out
love your videos, give Circuit Superstars a chance
Good luck brother
You had a good run.
*salutes
Take care man. Will miss your regular vids so much tho.
Peace.
Hi Devon. I would love to see some more IOTW, the iracing videos is a far cry from the quality you had, also never got to see the first episode of 'wife plays GT7' 😂
Sorry to hear mate but I can totally understand.
You do what you need to do. I'll be here if you ever come back.
It's a shame that you won't be uploading, but it's totally understandable. Best of luck for whatever the future holds for you man 🤙🏻
Maybe pivot to other games or the racing genre in general? Test Drive Solar Crown just came out so maybe there's something in there, and you can always play the older games and make a video on why they worked so well (Ridge Racer Type 4 and Gran Turismo 3/4 come to mind). You could get a few videos out of that as well, comparing older games to newer games and so on.
Definitely play RRT4 if you haven't though; it's pretty wild playing a game that was designed with a player first mentality in the modern era.
Be sad to see you go.
Your Idiots of the Week for the GT series was awesome.
First comment! And very sorry to see you going. (Edit) And I wish wish WISH you would still be doing IOTW!!!
It takes alot of guts to do what you have done. to know when to quit. I wish you the best.
I always looked forward to your idiots of the week.
Please make that face your new YT icon. It's painfully perfect
It's become so difficult keeping a group alive and going, with how bad forza is.
It's bloody upsetting at where we're at.
I'll be looking for your new channel covering F1, CarX and BeamNG. Peace my brotha.
Thanks for move of the week and idiots of the week mate really enjoy them wish you all the best take care
Damn literally EVERY channel I used to watch has stopped uploading content or slowed down considerably
Sad times
Time to start your sim racing journey
Seeya mate its been cool
Totally understandable. I haven't really played any racing games recently for the same reason, they all just feel dead compared to how they used to for some reason. GT sport online was good fun when it thrived, but it seemed to really slow down with GT7, which is where I pretty much lost interest.
Wreckfest 2 is coming... Idiots of the week is missed
Problem I have is sim setups are just too expensive still
I remember running against you in PCars2 a few years ago and i messaged you being all excited lol. I dont blame you for decision. I only play Forza for the prototypes honestly and that's even a shit show until AC2 or Le Mans Ultimate comes to consoles.
Sad that this is the end. I hope you find something else to do.
As the years go on
The previous years look better
Even if the future look bleaker than ever
The coping mechanism is to play old games but even then, there were duds in the market
Don't come back, you've let your hatred of the game become your personality
Also I managed to run away from your Discord saying the same thing before you even had a chance to kick me out of the server so jokes on you
You get thousands of views, how is that not successful? It feels like you've just lost your passion for making any kind of content. Which is absolutely fine but I don't think it has to do with racing games.
I think he means successful as in live off of UA-cam and make money. I doubt he’s making money with 5k views hes getting on hid last videos
Hi Devon. Have you considered doing content on assettocorsa? There are so many mods on there you could make content with. For online racing ACC and iRacing could replace forza for you. I know it’s different but maybe you’ll like it
Waited for Forza motorsports, hated it so much that I bought a PS5 for Gran Turismo 7. I have just given up on Forza.
Does that mean he’s not coming on then?
Bring back IOTW !🤗
