    Great video. Kerry Way wild camping is definitely on my list. I've done a good few bits of the Way over the years but it would be great to do it all in one trip. Glad you enjoyed Ireland enough to come back here.

      Glad you enjoyed it Sue, and hope you enjoy the rest of the series as much. When I see all those cars and coaches doing the Kerry Ring, I think they do not realise how much they are really missing of the true wild and wonderful Kerry. And certainly have the Beara Way on my to do list!

    Nigel,
    I wasn't sure this video was still coming, but I'm glad it has been posted. Gorgeous scenery. 35km for day 1 is a good distance, especially with that amount of climb. Both the Kerry Way and the Dingle Way were once on my list of potential walks. For some reason I have since removed any walks that are in Ireland from that list - possibly because I thought it was an extra couple of flights and a bit too much bother. Back when you mentioned you'd done this walk I googled a bunch of photos of both Ways and they look stunning, so I might have to consider adding them back to my walks-to-do list and figure out a way to include them with a future U.K. trip. Looking forward to the rest of your Kerry Way videos.
    Ryk.

    Boy Nigel you really make me homesick lol. I always pretend I’m tagging along on all your hikes. So good to see you are editing again. I’m guessing this hike was a good while back. Hugs to you and your wife from New Orleans.😊❤

      Thanks for tagging along and I’m glad you’re enjoying the hikes again. Yes you guessed, it feels like a very long time ago when I did the hike but it does feel good to finally publish the journey. I always enjoy your mention of New Orleans 👍🏼😁 and hope the recliner is still in good working order. Take Care

    Hadn’t heard of this walk. Looks absolutely stunning. Just done the Skye Trail and looking for my next adventure, plus never been to Ireland. Your videos is doing a good job at convincing me. Looking forward to the next instalment.

      I think by the time you seen the full series you will be sold! Thanks for the comment, and I'm always interested what other people are getting up to, Cheers

      @@AmblingTrails I imagine you’ve done the Skye Trail. If not, well worth it and south to north is far better as opposed to the guide books recommended N to S. Trotternish Ridge, though demanding has the most spectacular views. And plenty of superb wild camping spots.

      I must admit I've not done this one, although it keeps nudging my to do list. South to North does sound better and a brief look at the map seems to confirm that, so will keep in mind. Thanks for the recommendation.

      @@AmblingTrails the highlight without doubt is the T ridge which is in the north. Finishing south in Broadford would be an anticlimax, although there is a fish & chip shop there virtually right next to the end/start 😜 . Cheers.

    Beautiful video, as always ☺️
    If I may be nosey - I noticed during the rainy section of this video that you are not wearing your Green Rab shell as you often have! What waterproof jacket have you gone with this time?

    • @AmblingTrails
      @AmblingTrails  Місяць тому +1

      Totally happy to answer your questions. The green shell was actual Montane Alpine Sprit Waterproof Jacket which I purchased in 2021 and has you've seen extensively used so I thought time for change. The new jacket is Inov8 Venturelite Jacket FZ, it's slightly lighter than the Montane so I might tend to wear it more as a 3 season jacket and use the Montane as a 4 season, but still discovering which is best for what/when. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Nigel
