Zoroark actually does get Focus Blast in its Unovan form, which OHKO's specially defensive Incineroar at +2, provided it hits of course

Additional fun fact, Fake out isn’t the only priority move Zoroark can be bait for: Shadow Sneak, Mach Punch, Extremespeed, I know I’m forgetting one… but yeah, Hisuian Zoroark is the perfect bait for a ton of different Priority moves because a large number of them are either Ghost, Normal, or Fighting-type moves.

@@JoeThomas-lu6fy yep, that’d be it. Don’t see Vacuum wave all that often, but I’ve definitely seen people running it on Lucario and Blaziken at the very least.
@@arlen7726 Special Focus Sash Lucario will run Flash Cannon/Aura Sphere/Nasty Plot/Vacuum Wave a lot, that tends to be where you see it.

Yeah the only really big one you have to watch out for is sucker punch.
Hisuian Zoroark is downright insane in terms of how good it is!
Triple immunities, massive Speed and Sp.Attack, and a signature move that inflicts the new version of the freeze status that’s a special-attacking version of burn, this thing definitely lives up to being a scary little ball of pure undead hate.
Speaking of Aura Sphere, they actually gave Gardevoir not only Aura Sphere but also Recover and Ice Beam

this will be the most 3D chess Pokémon
It’s also going to be the bane of so many low-ladder showdown players who prefer to avoid thinking while playing and get annoyed when they’re forced to. If Hisuian Zoroark becomes common enough I guarantee you’ll be seeing fewer people running Pokémon whose most common sets rely heavily on normal or fighting-type priority moves, because holy crap is this thing the perfect bait for those moves.

Poor Zoroark... It's Illusion Ability seemed so broken when we first heard of it in Gen-5... HOWEVER... Then we turned on our games, slapped it on our teams and saw the brand new (at the time) TEAM PREVIEW mechanic!! HAHAHA Game Freak created Zoroark's ability and knew that it would be way too crazy without being able to know, definitively, it was even on the team

Pulling the good old Triple-immunities-no-4x-weaknesses Ghost type with Zoroark of all things is definitely insanely cool
Honestly, just the power to have a disguised Pokémon suddenly throw out a STAB 125 SpA Hyper Beam is gonna cause mind games on its own.
I did some damage calcs for a bulky Assault Vest H!Zoroark that avoids OHKO from most important benchmarks, Max HP, 84 Def, 72 SpD, 100 Spe with Shadow Ball, Protect, Snarl, and Counter. Bulky Incineroar always fails to ohko, and max Attack only kills with a dark-type move. Dynamax Thunderous fails to ohko with either STAB move. Kyogre without Dynamax will fail to KO at -1, and at least 100 evs in speed means you always outspeed to hit a Snarl. And every other special attacker without some damage multiplier (weather / terrain / specs) only deals around 1/3 damage, then gets Snarl'd.
Now, why a bulky set? Because normal Zoroark gets Counter as an egg move. If a physical attacker hits Zoroark, they could just instantly die. Having an option on your team slot to turn something that's normally a free KO into a 50/50, without ever needing bring it into the game, is super threatening. Now, your Whimsicott may get hit with a Darkest Lariat instead of Fake Out or Flare Blitz.

I mentioned this on another vgc video, but I think that if it gets even half of the support moves that normal zoroark has, then H-zoroark has the potential to be a great debuffing/status offensive support. It could potentially serve a role similar to Eleki on certain teams, utilizing it's fake out immunity to provide immediate pressure, especially against mons that may be trying to set up like a trick room foe example. It has a lot of potential, but it and a lot of mons need is proper move set releases so we know whether or not changes are gonna be in later games.
A Pokémon that you can’t be 100% sure is even there that is immune to fake out…

I can see hissuian zoroark getting will-o-wisp, fake out and icy wind. Maybe the frostbite condition stays in the game and it gets an ice type will-o-wisp, although that's speculating too much
H-Zoroark also gets Shadow Sneak, in case you didn't know
What if you use Zoroark and Hisuian Zoroark on the same team? That way your opponent, even if they know you're using a Zoroark, don't know which type to focus on.
I cant wait for Hisuan Zorark for my nat dex mono normal team. Mono normal needed this since we have a useless legendary and a useless pseudo legendary

Love this things colour scheme, I can't wait to use my alpha version in vgc. Day 2 asking for enamourus and enamorus therian! it gets some nice coverage moves in earth power mystical fire and some cool abilities in contrary and overcoat. It's signature move either raises it's offensive and defensive stats or lowers the opponents offensive and defensive stats depending on the form

Justified/steadfast lucario and h-zoroark would be pretty scary to go against if played correctly.

I just caught a shiny one, named her Lilla. (Lila is purple in my native language and Lilla is a female name.)
I never thought it would go well with Whimsicott, it gave me a good idea. Whimsicott, Hisuian Zoroark and a normal Arcanine with justified. You can guess the mind game. Try to use a Dark type move and my attack will increase. It's scary, because you can disguise it as two Pokémons. So, Whimsicott and Arcanine on the field. Who is who? And if whimsicott use Beat up on Arcanine. Or you guess wrong, Tailwind and Hisuian Zoroark can start sweeping. This will be so much fun.

I feel like competitive in Arceus might come later. I had heard rumors that they might be doing DLC for the game that would add more pokemon and a new area or two.

Just having it on a team stops people from using fake out, one of the most common and beneficial moves in vgc. It could actually be a big meta diffiner and could cause many sets to change

Bro. This could def be a good mon to fake people out on lead. If you pair it with a mon that resists dark in the back, it could be amazing and i really want to try it out. Also, I kinda want to hunt its shiny form :)

What I'm gonna say will kinda steer out of the Zoroark subject, but I don't think these Pokémon being added to SwSh would be, as you said, a "miracle". Maybe not only them, but also the ones in BDSP. I mean, I try to keep my expectations in check, but there must be a reason why Stantler and Ursaring were never added to SwSh (so their status as non-eviolite-elligible doesn't have to be changed) and the Gen IV fossils were the ONLY ones not added in the Crown Tundra DLC... right?
I don't understand why frostbite is a special burn. It would make more sense if it was an alternative to induce burn, cus frostbite are effectively that, cold "burns".
If anything lowering SpA was the buff regular poison needed

Barb Barrage, the signature move of H-Quilfish and Overquil is also just like H-Typhlosion and H-Zoroark's moves but it poisons instead of burning or frostbiting.
