I've not heard someone try to make the 70 less pixels an bonus point for the SNES. It doesn't work like that sadly. Most SNES games used up their cart space with (low bitrate) PCM instruments and 15 bit colour.

The Snes was a handsome and muscle power guy, but the Mega Drive was a wise master of the most powerful martial arts, at least in this stage. Probably the Mega Drive version, because it's a more fun and balanced game.
I've played both. The SNES wins this one in every single way. It's too bad this UA-camr couldn't be bothered to learn how to play the game competently. You have a different button designated for each of your three weapons and you usually want to crouch and take things slow in most areas.
The SNES version is clearly more faithful to the aliens atmosphere... not to mention it is much more sophisticated and immersive than the Mega Drive version
oh come on on the megadrive looked like some generic platform game at least the snes version is more alien like more atmospheric better graphics better sound probably played better too
No caso desse vídeo Mega Vence.
Megadrive version is similar to the amiga version. It has good atmosphere. SNES version has no such an atmosphere, but it's another interesting version due to the different graphics.
Background graphics on the SNES version are better (although the Genesis version is poorly represented here). The Ripley sprite in the Genesis version si vastly superior. I loved the Genesis version, but the music seems completely ill-fitting... good music in any other game, but completely inappropriate for an Alien game.
it was a hard decision which to choose but in the end best aliens 3 game Goes to Super Nintendo has better graphics better presentation from the movie Better Sound and better gameplay if you don't believe me watch console Wars Episode Alien 3 will see why I'm saying this best aliens 3 game go Super Nintendo
game Survivor Why do I need someone else's opinion to say what the better game is? I personally think the graphics on the Genesis version look better. Ripley at least looks more like Ripley.
I think both are good in their own way, for different reasons. The MD version (which I owned) has a darker more menacing vibe. It feels like an "action/horror" game. Also the music on the MD version suits that horror aspect. The title music on the Gen is still highly memorable, it's "mesmerising" in a rather odd way. You can't forget it once you hear it or remember it from your childhood. The snes version on the other hand, is more fun and action packed. The music, and sound effects gives a more action themed atmosphere + the cutscenes drives the game's story more. If you owned both versions of the game, you actually would have alot to gain from it, because unlike most snes vs genesis ports.. these two games are actually very different "interpretations" of the same game.
The Genny version looks to be an okay game, but the SNES version blows it out of the water. In terms of presentation and music, it isn't even a contest, SNES kills it. Not a fanboy of either console, I love both, but in this case? The SNES version is the better game hands down.
Yup, no ports here. Two completely different games both in presentation and gameplay. The SNES version was more cinematic while the Mega Drive version is the more arcade action game with awesome parallax scrolling. Basically a 16 bit version of the 8bit games on Master System, C64 and NES.
I first played the MD version and thought it was awesome, but a friend showed use his SNES and thought it was even better. SNES version wins hands down.
Show de bola!!

The SNES version is clearly more faithful to the aliens atmosphere... not to mention it is much more sophisticated and immersive than the Mega Drive version
What kind of environment is this with ladders everywhere and small platforms that move about....
On the left side I'm hearing music and sound effects. On the right side I'm hearing noise! 😆
Im surprised how generic the Genesis Version is. The SNES Version was quite a proper Alien game.
SNES ganhou desta vez .
Never played the SNES version, looks like a very different game. The Genesis' is one of the best platformer/shmups ever released on 16 bit console.
Graphics and sound effects on Snes are awesome
Snes all the way
The Snes has a really nice intro, but the Genesis/Megadrive version is the better game, it's well known by anyone who collects retro games.
It's well known? I collect games and disagree... maybe I don't have enough games? Since that is the qualifier?

Rob Shell 37 Nah Snes was way better than Genesis garbage.... I guess you play Xbox too don't you!?
oh come on on the megadrive looked like some generic platform game at least the snes version is more alien like more atmospheric better graphics better sound probably played better too
Color, Sound, Atmosphere are vastly superior on SNES.
Everything about the snes version is better by miles
except for speed and smoothness but yeah snes looks the better game for sure
No caso desse vídeo Mega Vence.
Music is more intense on the genesis love it, don,t like the snes tunes again, but great graphics and nice cut scenes!!
O Alien do snes é injogavel. O do mega é divertido e tenso.
@@morpheus1345 A jogabilidade é ruim.
I used to play this game lot back in the day. No doubt, for me Genesis version is better.
it was a hard decision which to choose but in the end best aliens 3 game Goes to Super Nintendo has better graphics better presentation from the movie Better Sound and better gameplay if you don't believe me watch console Wars Episode Alien 3 will see why I'm saying this best aliens 3 game go Super Nintendo
game Survivor Why do I need someone else's opinion to say what the better game is? I personally think the graphics on the Genesis version look better. Ripley at least looks more like Ripley.
I prefer MegaDrive games more often than Snes, but there's no comparison here, Alien 3 is better on Super Nintendo.
Snes Wins!
Snes wins!
Playing both the genesis version aliens are more aggressive and game is harder than snes version. Sound and graphics are better on snes version.
The SNES ' was super beautiful by that time....but, it was slow, so I'd rather play the genesis' version
Love both games
The Genny version looks to be an okay game, but the SNES version blows it out of the water. In terms of presentation and music, it isn't even a contest, SNES kills it. Not a fanboy of either console, I love both, but in this case? The SNES version is the better game hands down.
wow Super Nintendo version really looks great
i played them both when they where new, snes alien 3 rapes megadrive alien 3
Yup, no ports here. Two completely different games both in presentation and gameplay. The SNES version was more cinematic while the Mega Drive version is the more arcade action game with awesome parallax scrolling. Basically a 16 bit version of the 8bit games on Master System, C64 and NES.
I first played the MD version and thought it was awesome, but a friend showed use his SNES and thought it was even better. SNES version wins hands down.
Is it possible to cheat turn off the timer on the genesis game?
Show de bola!!
