Great video and great information for why someone should use a monopod for wedding videography. However, the new Sirui monpods are IMO superior to the Manfrotto models in just about every way. The only thing I like more about the Manfrotto model is the flip lock legs.
Great point, the Sirui monopods are a great option! They have a much larger footprint which can be good and bad, but they're definitely a quality monopod! When I made this video Sirui weren't super popular, otherwise I probably would have mentioned them!
Hi, I'm looking at getting this exact monopod, however, I have a Canon 5D M3 w/ 24mm - 105mm lens. I was just wondering if you think this would work still or if my lens would make everything too heavy?
+JORDAN, you will have zero issues with that lens! It's a great lens to use on the monopod especially because of the image stabilization. I shoot my C100 and 70-200 2.8 on this monopod all the time, no issues!
Useful video but the background beat is just enough to be. irritating - I stopped the video to go and see which of my neighbours was playing their music too loud.
Great video man! It never crossed my mind to jam the pan bar under my arm! Trying this out ASAP! Thanks for the great tips!
Color temperature change at 2:51 ;P

I got one of these tripods
Hi, excellent video. Iam a beginner and have a doubt, do we have to switch off the VR/IM on the lens when mounted on the monopod....
Thanks! No you can definitely leave it on, it will help ensure even steadier shots, especially at longer focal lengths!
Thank you
I will do anything to never use a gimbal again! lol
