@@daseapickleofjustice7231 I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make. Old Russian people are conservatives because a lot of them lived in the Stalinist era, and for them their experience during that period are what they remember their childhood to be like/how they were raised.
Lots of people in Russia today definitely do not support Stalin, and he’s seen as a tyrannical figure. Please read about the de-stalinization era in Russia after his death.

@@SenkaBandit ‼️ Be careful, this is a false comment. The figure of Stalin in Russia is of great importance for his contribution. And there are polling centers that record that the majority of the population treats Stalin positively.
The so-called "de-Stalinization" is a denial of history and its context, as well as an attempt to shift all responsibility to other people. I've never respected people like you. Demand "de-Churchillization" in Britain

Adam, thanks for taking time to come and visit Mr. Aron’s museum - he’s a true treasure! It’s a big unfortunate that we no longer have the same vibrant population and culture of Bukharian Jews here in the old city anymore. There used to be three synagogues, but two functioning at the moment and are providing service to around a couple hundred living Jews in Bukhara. The synagogues follow the same traditions by closing for Shabbat. There’s one Jewish cemetery just outside the old city and Mr. Aron is right - local Uzbeks and Tajiks look after this place keeping it clean and presentable. But make no mistake, Bukharian Jews didn’t live only in Bukhara, a vast majority lived in another great city of Samarkand too. The reason they were called Bukharian is because they were Jews living in Bukhara Emirate / Khanate which is now a part of independent Uzbekistan.

@@Neno908this is a wrong claim made by pan islamists. Not all muslims think alike, nor do they follow their religion in the same manner. There are important differences. Muslims in Iran or Tajikistan do not have the same beliefs as muslims in more radical countries like Pakistan or saudi arabia. I am saying this as an Iranian who has been to other muslim countries and seen and spoke to muslims in other countries.
Even if we ignore the sunni-shia division, Islam is practiced differently in Arab countries compared to Iran and other Persian speaking countries (except afghanistan since unfortunately it has become radical there as well) and most Turkic countries. For instance, even the most radical Iranian muslim will never claim that music is haram, or that dancing is haram, or that a woman singing is haram (note that I am talking about muslim PEOPLE and not the government). We have famous female singers and musicians that are enjoyed by muslims and non muslims alike. I was very surprised when I spoke to Arab friends and they told me they consider those things as haram. Those are just a few differences but there are many many more (e.g. female dresses, depictions of the prophets, preservation of pre islamic beliefs, cultures and traditions, etc…). As much as some muslims would like it to be so, muslims are not a monolith .

Fun fact : Bukhara Jews are Sephardic because of a missionary from Tetuan, Morocco named Rabbi Yosef Maimon who travelled there and demanded they adopt the Sephardic traditions when he found the community in utter ignorance and following the Persian religious traditions.

Gʻofur Gʻulom knew Hitler was unable to kill him, I respect to this old dear friend from Bukhara as a young man from Bukhara. There are still some jews here in Bukhara, Samarkanda some other places of Uzbekistan they are kind hospitable friendship people as much as we do. They are uzbeks too. Kudos a lot for your appreciation for Muslims and for Gʻofur Gʻulom and for all of that.
Thank you for you too Adam

Some of Aron's jokes sound tough or even rude 😂 but it's exactly that kind of jokes we have in my family. And now I understand it's absolutely a Jewish thing 😂 A sort of irony that could be shocking for everyone else. But we are fine with it. We make jokes but love each other. 😊

My great great grandfather was the president of the Jewish community in Bukhara, Simkha Mosheyof was his name, he and his family immigrated to the land of Israel in about 1870 and established the Bukharian neighborhood in Jerusalem with other rich families at the time. They built the Mosheyof estate in the neighborhood, a huge estate which was later divided and used for different purposes and is no longer known as the Mosheyof Estate.
I’m so sorry I won’t be able to visit the places he lived in, unless Islam leaves this country, then I will be able to visit.
    Everything was ruined.

Bukharian Jewish Community and Its Cultural Heritage
The Bukharian Jewish community, originating from Central Asia, has a rich cultural history that is intricately tied to its experiences in the Soviet Union and its relationship with Muslim neighbors. Many Bukharian Jews began emigrating to the United States in significant numbers during the late 1960s through the 1990s, escaping the oppressive Communist regime. This migration was marked by a profound sense of nostalgia for their homeland, as expressed in the sentiment that they may leave physically but never forget their roots.
    Cultural Practices and Traditions
Central to Bukharian identity are their traditions, including unique customs surrounding family and community life. The community typically values large families, often having many children, which reflects a strong cultural emphasis on kinship and support. Traditional practices persist even in the diaspora; for instance, weddings are grand affairs featuring Kosher food, which is a vital aspect of their cultural and religious observance. Bukharian Jews maintain a strict adherence to religious customs, even in the face of Soviet restrictions, which sets them apart from other Jewish communities in Russia where such practices diminished.
    Community Resilience and Support
The establishment of museums, such as the Bukharian Museum in Queens, serves as a testament to the resilience and dedication of the community to preserve their heritage. The museum is a labor of love, representing the efforts of individuals who work tirelessly to showcase their history. The community relies heavily on personal contributions, with members often funding trips back to Central Asia to bring artifacts that tell their story. This grassroots approach highlights the importance of communal support in maintaining cultural continuity.
    Interfaith Relationships
The relationship between Bukharian Jews and Muslims has historically been characterized by mutual respect and shared experiences, particularly in the context of escaping Soviet oppression. The two groups found common ground in their opposition to the Communist regime, promoting a spirit of unity. This camaraderie is evident in anecdotal accounts of support and friendship that transcend religious boundaries, suggesting that strong interfaith relationships can flourish in the face of adversity.
    Conclusion
The Bukharian Jewish experience is a compelling narrative of cultural survival and resilience, marked by strong familial ties, rich traditions, and interfaith solidarity. The community’s efforts to keep their heritage alive in their new home are a vital part of their identity, illustrating the enduring connection to their past while adapting to new environments
