Xavi and Iniesta are the greatest midfielder duo in history they literally wipe out almost every trophy possible, Euro 08, 12, WC 10, UCL, La Liga, Copa Del Rey
In terms of achievements Xavi and Iniesta are clear of Modric and Kroos. That barca duo were the catalysts to the two most dominant sides of this generation. Prime Barca(2008-2012) and Prime Spain(2008-2012). They won 3 consecutive major international tournaments being the best players of those tourneys. Xavi was the best player at Euro 2008. Iniesta was the best player in the 2010 World Cup and again in Euro 2012. They won 2 trebles. A sextuple and 30+ titles together. They both made it to the balon d'or podium as the top 3 finalists on more than one occasion in prime Messi and Ronaldo era(there was no way they could've won it). Unlike Modric who won it in 2018 when Messi and Ronaldo were getting old. They both made the top 10 best players of the world fifa rankings multiple timesb(Iniesta made it for 8 years and Xavi for 7 years). The only thing that. Not to mention the fifa fifpro world XI awards they've won those countless times.
Xabi, Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta, Silva, Mata…”and I’m missing someone else, Cesc Fabregas.” That midfield was so ridiculously stacked. No wonder no team could touch the ball against them.
@@frequentclearance9641 Yeah marginally below the likes of Xavi and Iniesta but at par with the likes of Fabregas and Mata coz Cazorla of the early 10s imo has always been underrated...Was unlucky though with injuries tbf (like in 2010) and they ultimately took their toll...

What do you mean, "never got the praise they deserved"? Of course they did - it is universally acknowledged as one of if not the best national teams ever.
That's because Messi or Ronaldo were the best player in the world every year from 2008 to 2019. If you're not the best player in the world, you're not going to win those awards. It's straightforward.
I'm young enough to remember the Teddy Drake era at Chelsea and I can 100% say that this Spain team would have destroyed the 1966 England team but would have come close to drawing the 1970 Brazil team a team which was just a little better than the 1962 Brazil team. No team in the modern era, including Messi's Barcelona could even come close to beating that Brazil team because they had 8 highly flair based players who could change a game in a blink of an eye

SHAKITÓXIC.
I remember why they won. They scored an offside goal against Portugal. Later went on to lose 4-0 to the same team
4-0?

Best guest drive show has had on in ages.
Loved every minute of it.
Now watch them undo all that good work with brining on Noel Gallagher yet again.
Utter waste of time when he’s on.
Piers Morgan is the real low.
Brilliantly observed all that fool does is slag off other teams and their fans. We know he never played football but why invite him on when he has zero depth or balance only ranting and waffling. When you listen to the foreign guys they are intelligently articulating in a different language far far more illuminating points and observations ✌🏼🙏🏼
england favorite in every tournament since 1967....and never won anything.
I don’t think people realize how stacked they were 😂😂😂. The BENCH could’ve won both tournaments if the coach felt bored.
That team was so stcaked people forget to bring Cazorla name when mentioning mids off the bench and he was as technical as anyone. Sadly the injury didnt do him any favor but my god, was he pleasure to watch.
They did, but they still had to get it done. Considering one game knockout tournament, where anything could happen
Xavi and Iniesta are the greatest midfielder duo in history they literally wipe out almost every trophy possible, Euro 08, 12, WC 10, UCL, La Liga, Copa Del Rey
2006 Champions, 2008 Euro 2009 Champions 2010 World Cup 2011 Champions, 2012 Euro, 2015 Champions. It was crazy
Modric and Kroos are laughing a lot about this sentence
@@elturko43how many euros and world cups did these two win together? Back to back to back btw
The fact when you think of that Spain team it’s easy to forget players like Silva and Mata is ridiculous. Boring to watch but an unbelievable team
Cazorla
@@ntuarabrian948a slight level below
@@frequentclearance9641 Yeah marginally below the likes of Xavi and Iniesta but at par with the likes of Fabregas and Mata coz Cazorla of the early 10s imo has always been underrated...Was unlucky though with injuries tbf (like in 2010) and they ultimately took their toll...
they should have been more offensively minded though imo. there were a lot of control and little progress unless they really needed a goal
Finally a guest that's actually worth it. Most of the time it's just UFC nobodies or nomark ex players like Kevin Nolan or Aaron Lennon, which makes for a worse show than it if it just the two of them.
The Age of Heroes. I miss it 🥹
They 3-peated… respect em
2008:Euro

Never got the praise they deserved because it would have the question that Barca didn't need Messi as his teammates were smashing it internationally
What do you mean, "never got the praise they deserved"? Of course they did - it is universally acknowledged as one of if not the best national teams ever.
It did get the praise.
@@jziffi Not one player never got a Balon'dor or FIFA the best and they were winning league titles + UCL's too
That's because Messi or Ronaldo were the best player in the world every year from 2008 to 2019. If you're not the best player in the world, you're not going to win those awards. It's straightforward.

The same way Nadal and Alberto Cantador won in those years. We all know the "secret".....
Besides being skilled and determined?
I'm young enough to remember the Teddy Drake era at Chelsea and I can 100% say that this Spain team would have destroyed the 1966 England team but would have come close to drawing the 1970 Brazil team a team which was just a little better than the 1962 Brazil team.
No team in the modern era, including Messi's Barcelona could even come close to beating that Brazil team because they had 8 highly flair based players who could change a game in a blink of an eye
