I'm a History student, and this channel has become my favourite! It also helps me fall asleep at night if I run into some insomnia - such a soothing and eloquent voice. Fantastic content all around, thank you!
Ooooh! Our sincere best wishes in your studies!🙏 History is so important - it gives us a standard - a bar - in terms of where we are now. Really glad you liked the show! And if it helps you to sleep - that is a bonus! Our very best wishes in your studies! 🙏
As requested, here I am. Thank you Robin!!
Thank you! Very much hope you enjoyed? In truth, we proabbly could have picked a better set of years. Napolean / war / King George III dominated everything...You may have liked last week'd episode more - 1875. It was an interesting year. 😉
Another winner from my favorite channel! It's the Yank from across the pond! I don't suppose it's necessary to announce myself like some kind of blooming royalty (or psycho)each and every time! I love reading along with inspector Coles from the actual news reports of the day. Such a store house of knowledge!! Another thumbs up indeed!, Tallyhoooo!!!
Hello one of our favourite cousins! 🙋♂️Thank you - how very kind! Really glad you liked it! 🙏We do so very much appreciate your kind support of our small independent channels! Coming up in a little over a week's time we will be doing our two hour compilation! Hope to see you on our cmmunity page on Sunday where we release what's coming up. 😊
OOOOOH, the Vere Street male brothel sounds terribly scandalous!! I'll bet there was regular gossip and speculation about who its patrons were!! I wonder how long it remained open for before it was permanently shut?!
Thanks for another VERY enjoyable video, Robin!! 💕💖❤💙👏👍💞
Thank you so very much for your kind support and enthusiasm!🤗 Yes - it really really was! The trials went on and really - it was so sad those who were found guilty and sentenced. 😔 There was much talk that known aristocrats somehow managed to avoid any kind of litigation - it was those without money or title who were condemned and sent to prison. Thank you very much again for your kind support🙏
@@ChronicleofTheTimes2024As usual, Robin, money talks!!💷💷💔😔
The cookery book sounds like Mrs Beaton's early book, I had a copy of said book given me in the 1970s, since lost, although a modern tome of language it did have a section on good housekeeping,
Interesting! How much was lifted from another we wonder? 🤔 The cookery book we reviewed in the 1805 Vintage Voices - the grandmother of all cookbooks - could still pass, some language choices aside, for more modern. We do tryt to choose recipes that we think people might still want to try - so we did not include, for example, the many things to do with eels.🫢
Be home by 10 and don't let me catch you inviting any invasion!!
😁It was a very war kind of time! Newspapers were just pages and pages and pages of war with endless listsof where various armies were and barious ships. Interesting to us - the impending conflict withAmerica clearly bothered the public and the press! "Cousins united" does seem to come back in force once Queen V swoops in. It is like a fresh start now that all the George's are gone. 😉
@@ChronicleofTheTimes2024 I was being silly...when old Agony Aunt warns that a kiss 'invites invasion' at 8:38. But yes, I very much hope we remain cousins united! Thank you for providing such interesting content!
@@coldboogeronapaperplate6495 Ah of THAT invasion! 😁Gosh - poetically said, wasn't it? Yes - our combned history does have us cousins united for pver a century. You can see how upsetting it was here in the UK with the press and public when we were not. Thank you - most kind!🙏🙏
