For his outstanding contributions, Entenmann was rightfully awarded the Most Outstanding Player of the 2023 NCAA Championships.
Though the result didn't favor them, the Duke Blue Devils put up a valiant fight. Goalie William Helm demonstrated his prowess between the pipes, making an impressive 10 saves despite the loss. Helm's exceptional performance in the NCAA Tournament solidified his place in Duke's history, as he became only the third goalie to record 41 saves, the third most by any Duke goalie in program history. Notably, Helm also joined the exclusive ranks of only seven Duke goalies to achieve double-digit saves in at least three NCAA Tournament games in their careers.

That save with 6:30 left in the game really was the play of the game, it just killed all of Duke’s momentum to have an extra man doorstep goal like that turned away, then watch as Notre Dame responded with a goal of their own seconds later. Liam for sure earned that MVP.
