They are so deep, like if they said the things you don't want (or can't) to say. Sometimes, when anxiety was at the highest points, I used to go to a nearby church and pray. And I felt like "Fuck, Dantooine..." when they say "Get to the church light, I need to reaffirm with God that I'm non of his concern..." And when I attended a psychologist "leave me in therapy, maybe someday I'll be okay..." Marietta makes me remember all the things (and ways) I've felt in my life in a painful yet tender way, as if they remind me that, yeah, I'm not alone, I'm a human being and I'm allowed to feel bad and weird and that this will pass and I'll feel good again, fit for release... SUMMER DEATH, SOME ARE DEAD
WALKING FROM THE BOOKSHEEEEEELVES
I found marietta a week before they broke up, and I found about their last show two days after it happened. It's my biggest regret. Easily my favorite emo band
i love marietta!! my boyfriend gave me a shirt from them yesterday
"Marietta knows, how to keep you on your toes" - Bar of the Deacde
the beginning of the end for them, I'll never forget it, 2015 they played with Mumblr at Mile High House in north Philly. Ethan asked the crowd sarcastically "who here just started their first year of college?" and everyone cheered. I think at that point they realized they were actually getting to old for this shit
Fuck, Dantooine Is Big has made me sob on multiple occasions just because of the fucking subject matter of the lyrics. Safe to say that this album has been the best record I’ve ever listened to.
Hope you’re doing well my mate. Anxiety is a bitch but we’ve totally got this. We’re all here to hold you up Nate.
sianlouise love you so much mate. Thank you
Nate The Mate love you too mate. Stay safe x
I was at their last show. It was one of janks first shows.
What happened after Marietta, ,didn't they get back together under a different name?
Think three of em went on without the fourth to do narra. Narradelphia.bandcamp for the album. That band was sick too
I just randomly came across Cinco De Mayo Shit Show randomly years ago. Gona go listen to the whole album after this video
Bro have you ever made a video on sports.? Because personally they're one of my favorite bands in the whole emo scene
Dude Bro I actually never have!
@@NateTheMateForever you totally should!
Thanks for letting me know they exist
I agree 100% but I think “as it were” was a complete work of art. I just miss them almost at much as MOBO.
I don't know why but i have the feeling midwestern emo is coming back
