When you’re not on your head, when you’re unconscious, they see those moments. That’s why its so special to have that bond like your family knowing you that way or even friends because very few people in your life will get to see those moments when you’re not too perfect and for me that’s such a privilege. That’s such a gift because it’s a gift to know someone that way. Sometimes I get to argument with my siblings like “Why are you like this” “You shouldn’t be like this.” Like thinking I was better. And then you kinda realize wow but you know what “Thank you for showing me like who you really are because no one else knows this.” This is a privilege. That means that our connection is so deep that you’re unafraid to show me even the bad parts. ✨ -Claudia I love this part. It’s a privilege to know someone’s vulnerability or imperfections. Treasure those people who trusts you.
I can tell Claudia felt comfortable with Hannah because she never had an interview / speaking spot where she's moving, having hand gestures and changing tones from time to time! This is very good, Hans! Good Job! 💟💟💟
I thank God for letting you two experienced the things that made you think the way you think today. Your wisdom and your generosity of it is priceless. I love you two with the love of God. I can't believe I learned so so so much by simply listening and nodding and saying "yes, yes", "oh yes!", "exactly!", and so much agreeing and at the same time finish my work while listening!!! It's like finding that safe spot and hearing those words I've been searching for to name my thoughts and eventually hear something that will make me feel better. One thing, out of so many things, I love about what they've talked about is when Claudia said, "Who am I to think that the world is thinking of me?!". And I was like OH YES!!! WHO AM I?!! Why do I even think that the world is so interested in me that I am so afraid of what they'll be saying about me or my decisions or my work or my school performance or me in general? When in fact, the world is so big and busy and I am so small compared to it? And Hannah's right when she said that realizing how small we are feels FREEING~ to the sense that if the only thing that hinders you to do the things you love is how others will look at you, then babe, stop worrying and just do your thing! It's comforting to feel like you have all the time, passion, and hard work to exert in doing something worry-free because others are not always there to judge or invalidate you. Knowing that you aren't that big helps you feel assured that no one's eyeing on you intently, and that you can do anything you aspire to do; and because you have a Big God who is always there to be your resbak in every. single. thing you do. I also cannot help but mention how lovely it feels to FINALLY FINALLY realize that self-love isn't selfish. It is actually a way for us to love God and others more!! Now I won't be guilty to prioritize myself *hehe* I've been watching and listening to Hannah for years but this is the first time I got to share my reflections here simply because I could not just keep these realizations to myself believing that God did not worked in me just for me, but also for you who's reading this one. Thank you Hannah and Claudia for being the vessel of His love and grace. You two are blessings. To every one of you who is hopeful, hopeless, or in the "medium", life is beautiful... and so are you. I also, just wanna add that Jesus did say to love ourselves. He said to love your neighbours as you love yourself, as the 2nd commandment. Wouldn't it mean that he's asking us to love ourselves first so that we overflow? Which aligns to what you said, "in order to love God and people, we must first love ourselves." I could only imagine that when we learn to love ourselves even more, there would be abundace for others. I, too, am perfectionist. I beat myself up when I fall short of my expectations. But, I also would never be hard on others. So, realising that loving myself first to love more, is eye opening for me. I've only recently started to be intentional about it, to be gentle on myself and to give compassion to myself. Hope you also cultivate compassion to yourself, Hannah. Stay safe and well.
