This fight is special (to me at least) due to the ending reactions from both the gods and humans. The amount of emotion from both sides is spectacular.

Yea same, first time i read that fight it had me emotional because we all 100% thought Qin was really done for then he pulled one of the most shocking and best come back ever, hell even Hades didnt see it coming
I feel that like i felt the moment quin clutched like that. Man i really loved Hades, the big brother that stood up for his younger ones. With his backstory revealed his death was so much more painful to watch. 😢 this one really hit me hard
I'm guessing their souls are intertwined still or the Volündr made a lasting connection cause she hated Jack at first lol. Kojiro's valkyrie is also still with him.

This manga really portrayed hades very well. All the other media I see hades is in he’s like the villain but dudes just a god who happens to rule the underworld.
I absolutely love this mangas portrayal of many of the gods and humans, this one was fantastic, it’s right up there with Tesla and Adam for me, I’m excited to see the remaining fights
Hades is mostly positive, out of the entire Greek Pantheon he was one of the few that were universally appreciated by Humanity who rarely if ever did anything negative. Tends to be that Gods of Death in most cultures are revered as neutral good Gods (another infamous example that will soon be relevant in Chronicles of Ragnarök is Anubis. Portrayed as evil in most modern media, the Jackel headed God was actually an avatar of fairness and impartiality, well respected amongst the Gods. He'd guard your body before your judgement with all of his might no matter your station or sins in life, he's even struck down and punished other major Egyptian Gods for daring to try and interfere with the dead. Quite fitting that he's set to be one of the candidates for the Gods in this series).

Man, and here I thought Buddha was the coolest character I’ve seen in the series so far. This is probably the most legendary fight I’ve seen so far. It’s probably because of the awesome music choice you used, but I loved every second of this video. I’ve never really been that invested in a ROR fight besides Buddha va Zerofuku or Heracles vs Jack the Ripper. Throughout the entire fight, I was seriously rooting for Qin Shi Huang. I was disappointed Hades didn’t do any necromancy like attacks (seeing as how he’s god of the underworld) but his Pluto Ichor power was still epic to watch.

Moreover, the whole Humans fighting Gods theme is present too. Buddha vs Hajun was the only one that lacked any of that because Buddha was also a God and is a trash character, who never had to go to desperate lengths to win like all the others. It cheapened the entire theme of the manga because a God won the fight for humanity. Also, it was the most boring written/drawn fight, just based on pure action and fighting moves/styles alone. Also, bud. Saying a fight/take was bad is hardly 'invalidating your opinion because it doesn't align with mine'. Grow a spine.
I will say in a way it's top 3 but I gotta give Sasaki v. Poseidon close #2 and Adam vs Zeus at #1 . The visuals the storyline, the father of mankind and the greatest loser I loved it. Don't get me wrong Qin has my respect he stood on business as a King and represented humanity with pride

My favorite fight within the series. This was really an unexpected turn of events withing the community and the story itself which finished in a satisfactory manner for both fighters even if Hades could not fulfill his ambition.

As both a son of a great Mother and the eldest of four sons I related heavily to both these characters. I couldn’t believe these two had to be matched up, I wanted both to win.
That and Shi Huang was depicted as the only one who was naturally built to be Hades based on the context surrounding this fight. Even then,Shi Huang still had to Clutch the win against Hades despite the advantages Shi Huang had over Hades.
I get this comment, gosh this fight was one of the ones that might become an anime classic if they stick to how they've been doing the fights following the manga panels

God Record of Ragnorok fights always hit different because you absolutely never know who's going to win coupled with probably what I can say is the best storytelling and message via fights I've ever seen. Two kings... Offense vs Defense, one who stands in front of his people and the other above his people. Addressing the definition of what it means to be a king to be the one with so much power ALL IN ONE FIGHT. Like its just so cool.
Buddha was my favorite god and qin shi huang my favorite human. But personally other than Hercules and Jack this fight had the best story bejind it and Hades is goated.
This was the first fight where I honestly had no idea who I actually wanted to win Hades was portrayed so cool and Qin Shi Huang is such a well made character too

What I really love about fight like this one and with hercules/Thor fight is how the fighters be it God or human find this mutual respect for each other.

Heck even Zeus after his fight with Adam showed a little respect towards Adam and since then seems to be gaining a bit of respect for humanity through the fights, even Shiva had a blast in his fight and no doubt has more respect for humanity too.
Exactly, the best option honestly would be that Ragnarok eventually becomes a friendly competition to see how far both sides can go, Having no competition generates stagnation
Interesting that for the most part, the best fights in this series tend to be the ones where Humanity won, fights where the Gods won tend to either not be as dramatic or not as emotional (weakest fight has to be Raiden vs Shiva. Lu Bu vs Thor might technically be worse, but it was the very first fight and Lu Bu's retinue charging Thor to follow Lu Bu in death and being massacred to the last out of respect for their warrior spirit is still memorable, RvsS just doesn't have any of the spirit I'd expect it to have and I can't remember any stand-out moments. Best fight is still Jack vs Heracles though, even 6 fights later still hasn't matched the trickery and feels between Jack's distortion and Heracles love (Buddha did come close though)).
That's cuz the Gods survive regardless. Humanity will be erased if they lose.

Thor for Boredom and a challenge he grew to respect humanity, Zeus for excitement, he respects humanity, Poseidon for his idea of perfection, Heracles....Yeah I don't get why a man who wants to save humans would fight for gods....but his gimmick was he was to protect humanity. Shiva for his Fellow Svarga gods, Zero originally wanted revenge, Hades wanted to avenge and protect his brothers, beel to avenge Hades, Apollo to make his soul burn and make his self beautiful and Susano'o to face his most desires opponent. the gods arc is them slowly coming to respect humanity. and every god that has won has left the arena respecting their opponent. Thor praised Lu bu, Zeus admitted Adam was a hell of a man, Shiva called Raiden the best fight of his life and a strong opponent, Beel learned to respect his opponent saying to win he had to trust Nikola wouldn't do anything rash and Apollo called Leonidas the most beautiful and refuses to heal the scar on his face so he can remember them.

Ya Ikr , Hades literally deserved that win but they're like nah if Qi dies it would make the Chinese viewers angry coz both of the Chinese fighters who've participated have died
Like Zeus versus Adam is just like a cool Concept in itself and they did it really well they did give Apollo for the win but they made him kind of a twink then we have Poseidon instead of putting him up against a great warrior he somehow got put up with the greatest loser I think was the dude's title like yeah I'm totally not going to take that as an insult and then we got Hades losing to another twink just breathing at him
I fully expected Hades to win, he is the eldest and strongest of all gods. Hades is literally a beast, a force of nature in every piece of literature. They had to let the Chinese emperor win if they wanted to keep the show going though, i guess.

This fight will always be my favorite it is the epitome of emotion to me and i like quin shis character design so much i really hope this gets animated
Freaking LOVED this fight when it was first made in the manga, and having 10/10 editing and music added will now make the anime version just look so disappointing in comparison when Season 3 is released. Literally my only problem with the fight is Hades' lackluster background and narrow range of abilities compared to Qin, but even then Hades is still plenty smart and likeable to mostly offset that. On a semi-related note, does anyone know the OST at 1:04:12? Sounds like it might be from ThunderBolt Fantasy, but I'm not sure and I can't find it.
Something that bugs me a lot about this fight is that Qin Shi's armor form technically uses momentum, but his poses when using it don't at all convey the reversal of momentum he could rule of cool his way into pulling off without question. When flipping Ares, he could have used a second hand, letting one hand take the force the god is trying to apply to him and transfer it back to him to carry him over his head. When reversing the first bident thrust, he could have grabbed it with one hand, pulled himself out of the way and used the rotational force to palm strike Hades, which would have also resulted in both impacts going off at ones, striking opposite sides of the arena like a mini quasar of wind. When trying to counter the downwards swing, he could have tried to turn it into a kick, only to realize that the force is too much for him to break his own footing safely, even for a moment. This could then have lead into him instead turning around into an over the shoulder judo-style toss, transfered into Hades via the spear's handle and safely cushioned for himself by his volund armor, when taking his second shot at it instead of doing a move that looks on its face impossible without breaking his back.
Still a fantastic battle. Both such amazing Kings in their own right.. the face off, the back and forth of blows, and the escalating damage they both received.. Epic.

This was an amazing fight by the end I was tearing up I genuinely thought qin was going to lose but THE KING OF KINGS IS UNBROKEN!!!!! ts was still sad though hades was well written I respect the dedication to his big brother role
I nearly never watch things twice ever but i love this Kings attitude so dam much i had to watch it again. Qin shi Huang in this man what a bad ass they made him into.
This round is close to being a 10 out of 10. My only gripe is that Hades got author-diffed, assassinated by the CCP and whatever else you may call it. But overall I loved this fight so thank you for adapting it better than the anime every could :))

This is genuinely one of the best fights I've ever seen in fiction. I don't think there is anything else in the series that could live up to it.
I will say in a way it's top 3 but I gotta give Sasaki v. Poseidon close #2 and Adam vs Zeus at #1 . The visuals the storyline, the father of mankind and the greatest loser I loved it. Don't get me wrong Qin has my respect he stood on business as a King and represented humanity with pride

My favorite fight within the series. This was really an unexpected turn of events withing the community and the story itself which finished in a satisfactory manner for both fighters even if Hades could not fulfill his ambition.

As both a son of a great Mother and the eldest of four sons I related heavily to both these characters. I couldn’t believe these two had to be matched up, I wanted both to win.

That and Shi Huang was depicted as the only one who was naturally built to be Hades based on the context surrounding this fight. Even then,Shi Huang still had to Clutch the win against Hades despite the advantages Shi Huang had over Hades.
I get this comment, gosh this fight was one of the ones that might become an anime classic if they stick to how they've been doing the fights following the manga panels

This fight was really intense! The timing of the sequences and the choice of music has been insane aswell.
God Record of Ragnorok fights always hit different because you absolutely never know who's going to win coupled with probably what I can say is the best storytelling and message via fights I've ever seen.
Two kings... Offense vs Defense, one who stands in front of his people and the other above his people. Addressing the definition of what it means to be a king to be the one with so much power ALL IN ONE FIGHT. Like its just so cool.

It was the hardest fight ever.
Buddha was my favorite god and qin shi huang my favorite human. But personally other than Hercules and Jack this fight had the best story bejind it and Hades is goated.

What I really love about fight like this one and with hercules/Thor fight is how the fighters be it God or human find this mutual respect for each other.
Heck even Zeus after his fight with Adam showed a little respect towards Adam and since then seems to be gaining a bit of respect for humanity through the fights, even Shiva had a blast in his fight and no doubt has more respect for humanity too.
Exactly, the best option honestly would be that Ragnarok eventually becomes a friendly competition to see how far both sides can go,

Interesting that for the most part, the best fights in this series tend to be the ones where Humanity won, fights where the Gods won tend to either not be as dramatic or not as emotional (weakest fight has to be Raiden vs Shiva. Lu Bu vs Thor might technically be worse, but it was the very first fight and Lu Bu's retinue charging Thor to follow Lu Bu in death and being massacred to the last out of respect for their warrior spirit is still memorable, RvsS just doesn't have any of the spirit I'd expect it to have and I can't remember any stand-out moments. Best fight is still Jack vs Heracles though, even 6 fights later still hasn't matched the trickery and feels between Jack's distortion and Heracles love (Buddha did come close though)).
That's cuz the Gods survive regardless. Humanity will be erased if they lose.

Thor for Boredom and a challenge he grew to respect humanity, Zeus for excitement, he respects humanity, Poseidon for his idea of perfection, Heracles....Yeah I don't get why a man who wants to save humans would fight for gods....but his gimmick was he was to protect humanity. Shiva for his Fellow Svarga gods, Zero originally wanted revenge, Hades wanted to avenge and protect his brothers, beel to avenge Hades, Apollo to make his soul burn and make his self beautiful and Susano'o to face his most desires opponent. the gods arc is them slowly coming to respect humanity. and every god that has won has left the arena respecting their opponent. Thor praised Lu bu, Zeus admitted Adam was a hell of a man, Shiva called Raiden the best fight of his life and a strong opponent, Beel learned to respect his opponent saying to win he had to trust Nikola wouldn't do anything rash and Apollo called Leonidas the most beautiful and refuses to heal the scar on his face so he can remember them.

Like Zeus versus Adam is just like a cool Concept in itself and they did it really well they did give Apollo for the win but they made him kind of a twink then we have Poseidon instead of putting him up against a great warrior he somehow got put up with the greatest loser I think was the dude's title like yeah I'm totally not going to take that as an insult and then we got Hades losing to another twink just breathing at him
Not to mention the person that fought Apollo was Leonidas another Greek
I fully expected Hades to win, he is the eldest and strongest of all gods. Hades is literally a beast, a force of nature in every piece of literature. They had to let the Chinese emperor win if they wanted to keep the show going though, i guess.

Absolutely magnificent
Freaking LOVED this fight when it was first made in the manga, and having 10/10 editing and music added will now make the anime version just look so disappointing in comparison when Season 3 is released. Literally my only problem with the fight is Hades' lackluster background and narrow range of abilities compared to Qin, but even then Hades is still plenty smart and likeable to mostly offset that.
On a semi-related note, does anyone know the OST at 1:04:12? Sounds like it might be from ThunderBolt Fantasy, but I'm not sure and I can't find it.

Something that bugs me a lot about this fight is that Qin Shi's armor form technically uses momentum, but his poses when using it don't at all convey the reversal of momentum he could rule of cool his way into pulling off without question.
When flipping Ares, he could have used a second hand, letting one hand take the force the god is trying to apply to him and transfer it back to him to carry him over his head.
When reversing the first bident thrust, he could have grabbed it with one hand, pulled himself out of the way and used the rotational force to palm strike Hades, which would have also resulted in both impacts going off at ones, striking opposite sides of the arena like a mini quasar of wind.
When trying to counter the downwards swing, he could have tried to turn it into a kick, only to realize that the force is too much for him to break his own footing safely, even for a moment. This could then have lead into him instead turning around into an over the shoulder judo-style toss, transfered into Hades via the spear's handle and safely cushioned for himself by his volund armor, when taking his second shot at it instead of doing a move that looks on its face impossible without breaking his back.
in Chapter 84, it said one of the remaining fighters for mankind... Was Simo Hayha.
