I want to tell you that I've had a rough past couple of months and that your videos and the GameCola podcast's you've done make me laugh even in the hardest of times. Just thought you'd like to know your helping someone. Keep up the awesome videos!
It is pretty awesome that you bring light to a game that was most of our childhoods. With such grace(?) and humor too! Keep at it Gemini, may the ForceMan be with you.
(Is anyone here....) Hello! As a guy who stumbled upon your channel some weeks ago, I have to say what's on my mind! You're funny, insightful, and just all around a great player and commentator (for a lack of a better word...). You're just awesome. Have a new subscriber. also when is next video
I'm here! Amazingly, people still show up on this video from time to time. And thank you! It only took me eight months, but I've finally signed for the package containing the subscriber that's been sitting on my doorstep all this time.Also...monkeys. (Hopefully this week! But no promises.)
Hi. I'm hoping to speed run Mario 3. What software do you play and record with? You probably get this question a lot. Still, thanks in advance if you answer!
Hey, what is your main strategy for the MM7 Wily Capsule fight? I know we'll see it in the LP, but I just want to ask. I use the Super Adaptor, fly around, and use the Homing Fist on the adaptor to attack. It does decent damage, although Ive usually gotta use an e-tank.
I won't ask if the video is done, but I will ask; have you started production yet? As in, playing the game all the way through, even if only for practice as of yet. Also, how would you go about beating the Wily in MM7? I can't seem to find an effective weapon, and I always die from the 4 randomly typed orbs he shoots out....
I apologize if this has already been asked before, but I have a question. After you play through Mega Man 8 (if you play through Mega Man 8) I was wondering, would you be going directly to Mega Man 9 next or would you play through Mega Man & Bass? As far as I know, MM&B is a mainstream title, but I was just asking. Thanks for your time!
Was there any real difference between the bats in MM2 and 4? I remember in one of your MM5 videos you said that you missed the "old bats." I can't think of any differences between the two...
A random question: You added a Mega Man fangame section to the series opinion section on your blog, so does this mean you'd be willing to review MM Unlimited? I find you're reviews to be well crafted and informative, so I'd be interested in reading your opinions on the game.
Thank you for saying so! My intent is to eventually review every Mega Man game I've played to completion, which currently does not include Unlimited. I did play about 30 minutes, and though I appreciate the production values and authentic feel, most of the challenges felt more like they were hard for the sake of being hard, and not because they were a fair or fun challenge to overcome. Glue Man's stage was great, though; a very clever twist on the level physics, kind of like an inverted ice stage.
When you do your various glitch videos, are those glitches that happen while you try to do the walktrough for the video, or are those ones you already know about and want to show us?
I saw that you have the Power battles and power fighters on there, when you get to those are they going to be Co-op with your wife or a friend or is it going to be a solo playthrough?
So! I have braved the world of MegaMan once more for the Mega Disasters of the MegaMan 10 game. Any suggestions? (do keep in mind that I haven't watched playthroughs and I don't know a lick about the weapons yet so I'm kind of going in blind). So far, I have found that Strike Man's stage seems a reasonable start, but I am having trouble with the miniboss...mainly, advice when you meet the second one?
What settings do you use on Camstudio? I use settings that give me unlimited amounts of video, but generate huge files and the sound and video end up completely de-synched after a few minutes.
Wow congrats dude, not an easy feat! May I ask how exactly? Did you implore a strategy, or did you just wildly fling shots around and eventually it worked? :P
Hey, Gemini I was wondering, I might start a Blind Lets Play of Megaman 5 in the near future and was wondering which Robot Master to start with. I'm not the best at platform gaming...
I've only recently stumbled upon your channel, but your witty remarks and awesome gameplay have kept me and my brother entertained for a good while. Keep up your fine work, good sir~
So I was listening to the intro music to MM4, and a commentor pointed out that the beginning to the intro music and the beginning to the final boss music are the same! I'm not sure if you know that, I thought it was pretty cool. Also, while I'm here, can you change the MM 1-6, 9, 10 music playlist on the Exfanding channel so that the MM5 "Wily Chase" music is shorter? I couldn't stand listening to that for 3 minutes...
Are you gonna check out Megaman Unlimited? It feels exactly like an the nes game except that its brutally difficult. I dont know if youd like that or not
Nathaniel, you know how when you shoot a hardhat when it's weak spot isn't revealed the shot bounces off. Have you ever managed to bounce off a charged buster shot and hit an enemy in mid-air with the same shot? Whenever I try it the shot goes right through the enemy :/
o.O so many choices! Okay, so running on the treadmill a bit longer can make the blocks last longer. Any tips for dealing with the fact that as soon as the blocks form, your being swarmed by those things he spits out at the beginning?
Yeah! I finally got a working PS1 emulator. Which means Mega Man 8 will soon be on a list of games I've played, and maybe even games I've beaten. Any tips or anything before I get started?
Argh, still a difficult choice... Especially since, unless you guys take until July to do this, I'll have to watch it in some sort of post form. The Mario Galaxy Games would be fun, though the issue is they take a while to get started... There's Pac Man World 2, you could try that. How long do you think the stream will be?
The 32oz cans of concentrated awesome that are your Megaman playthroughs the highlights do seem to come from your bonus videos. With this in mind, would you ever do a compilation video showing the crowning moments of awesome from an entire series of games?
been watching a ton of your videos... you know, ima ask this, what would you do if another megaman buff asked if you wanted to do a lets race of megaman 5 or 7 or any x game from 1-3... :D
Dear Geminilaser, thank you for your videos. They are family safe and informative and really showofftastic awesome ! I have one question: How do you turn on the closed caption on an IPod touch. I've tried all the methods to do it and I still can't enable the wacky CC for your videos, oh and please, can you tell me which are the videos that are CC available ? Thank you and GOD Bless you !
Dear GeminiLaser I got some wii points recently and I want to get a Mega man game and I was wondering what game would be good to start out with. Please reply -BionicleBuilderB
Hey man, I have a question/comment about your MM3 LP. It was mostly enjoyable, but do you ever think about re-examining your opinion of the game? It may just be the fanboy in me talking, but I felt some of your criticisms were downright unfair. For example, the high number of partially/fully invulnerable enemies never bothered me. One has to remember than Megaman is also a platformer, not just a 2D shooter.
Hey Gemini. Just watched ALL of the recently archived marathon. Congrats to you and Dash, that was quite a feat. Sorry I wasn't there for the live show. Looking forward to the MM7 videos!
Mr. Gemini Laser, you have said in previous videos you won't play rom hacks because they might ruin forever the impression you have of the original games. What opinion would have if I made you an offer you do not want to resist, about the slightly tweaked/ almost unnoticeable rom hacks ?
Hey GeminiLaser, I can understand why some people dislike megaman 8, but do you think it's really all that bad? I mean I played it and I thought it was pretty nice, sure it lacked the 8 bit luster that megaman belonged in. Yet there was interesting new weapons and upgrades to change the way you played, not to mention how some places needed you to go back and get the bolts and such. So what is your honest opinion about Megaman 8?
If you are going to play MM7, then are you also going to play 8, 9, 10 and the Game Boy games? (Also, other series such as Mega Man X is optional for me.)
You might be right, but perhaps it's just the fact that the places you meet the bats (or at least the only place I can remember them from MM4, Drill Man's stage) in MM4 are very enclosed, straight forward 1 screen chambers, meaning that they'd come to the same spot every time. I may be wrong though.
Been playing that lately, basically, it has the likeness of Mega Man X (except you play as a female, >_>), but you have the ability to control the transparency of platforms you can jump on. I'd just thought i'd tell you that.
I don't think it's my google account that is affecting this, but both "Geminilaser" and "Gemini Laser" yield your channel page on google search. Before the hair removal and before the Mega Man Knowledge Bass. I mean Base... base. BTW, what do you use to look up information about Mega Man, and how many suggestions about Mega Man 7 have you had so far? I just recently beat the game myself, so I don't really have much to say. I am looking forward to your videos to show me the full potential of MM7
Oh yeah, Gemini, I've got a question for you. Have you ever played Super Mario Bros. Crossover? It's one of the best (in my opinion) browser games i have ever played.
In terms of application I see a bit of a flaw in this design. It seems to be gathering up comments much faster than your channel page did, perhaps due to notifications being sent out to commenters. Just an observation.
...I tried to do an account on Exfanding your horizons, then I tried to send you a email containing the mp3 file, but I do not know if it work. Did it went through ?
I understand that you may have heard this before, but if you pass under the Sniper Joe protecting the 1-up in Bomb Man's stage right before the boss chamber, the Joe can get stuck in one of those 1-block-tall spaces.
If by the time you make the MM7 videos the MM7 8-bit version comes out(its a fan made version which looks like its going really well. There are videos of stages and bosses on youtube) can you do a sort of small difference sort of commentary showing comparison between the two. I know its just more work but it just a suggestion because I know that I and many other are interested in the 8-bit version.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo How you gonna handle the 4 at a time for MM7? Are you going to use the code or play it the way it was designed?
Heya G.L. I don't know why I keep watching these, it is way too entertaining for me, and even more than playing the games. Sneak attack question though, do any of your playthroughs stcick out for you?
Hi, I'ma back! Also, I have a few questions: What's the status on the livestream? Did I miss it? Gemini, what's you're opinion/recommendation/tips for using Steam? You're backloggery says you have one, but searches on GameCola and Exfanding don't give any informations on your experience with it. Speaking of Backloggery, first Backloggiversary is in a few days! Woo! Also, while I was gone I came up with this: "Flashmaniel Hoover" You can use it as a internet name if one you have doesn't work.
Hey GeminiLaser, I have two questions for you: Which Robot Master would you like to see in a potential Megaman 11? Will you play Mega Man Unlimited, even if it will be just a Let's Play?
I've read your reviews on Mega Man 9 & 10, and if I'm not mistaken, you think they are both as good as each other. I'm totally the opposite: Mega Man 9 is my favorite in the Classic series while 10 is my least favorite. So, to you, what makes Mega Man 10 just as good as 9?
I've noticed that the mega man 1 playlist has disappeared from the created playlists page, and has been gone for a while. I'm presuming that's unintentional, but I could be wrong? I just thought I should bring it to attention.
Thanks for the heads-up. Unfortunately, that seems to be an issue with how UA-cam displays playlists. Normally there's a "View X More" link at the bottom, but it's not showing up for some reason. When I'm logged in and there's the extra "Liked Videos" playlist, the link does show up, so I'm assuming it's an issue where the exact number of playlists I have displayed to the public is right on the edge. If you click on the "Created Playlists" header, you should see all of them. When I eventually get to MM8, this will hopefully no longer be a problem!
Okay here's the scoop-- I have the Anniversary Collection on PS2 (though I started MM on the NES back in the 90's... old school ftw!) and without the NES glitches/cheats MM3 is a tough game! The end of Top Man's stage is killin' me! In the original series which one game (1-8) do you think is the most challenging? Sorry if you've answered this before-- you've got so much stuff on here I might not have seen it.
Here's a little trick you can try in MM2: As you probably all know, it's really difficult to run underneath Wood Man when he gets to the other side of the room. I've recently discovered a trick, however, where, if you pause/unpause the game as he's jumping, Wood Man will continue the move upwards each time you unpause. Allowing you to safely walk to the other side of the room while he's up on the ceiling.
If there was a game with every Robot Master - even the Dimensions, Stardroids, Killers, Quint, and everyone else, and you could unlock them by beating them Buster-only (good luck with Burner, Elec, and Bright Man), who would you play as most? (I bet it's Flash, Bright, or Centaur). Also, do you like MM7?
GeminiLaser, I've been watching your videos for a good long time now, and always get excited when you release a new video. In fact, you're the only subscription of mine that I have set to send me an email whenever you upload a single video. When a period of time passes between videos, I tend to watch your entire set from the first to the last uploaded video, and I think its awesome that you care enough about your viewers to go out of your way to make this video/forum. Keep up the great work!
Not even gonna lie, before I knew about you, this is something I wanted to do. But after seeing so many of your videos and seeing how awesome you are at MM and all the nuances in between.... I don't think I'm cut out for the job. Kick ass job, sir.
We really ARE the best viewers you could have hoped for, aren't we? :) In all seriousness, though, you're welcome. I know there was a distinct lack of music, so I put on my Famicom VRC6-expansion cover of Daft Punk's Aerodynamic. It worked pretty well, if I do say so myself. I like the gradual colour changing here, and I'm pleased to see that you've resolved a large problem so easily. I know you're thanking us as viewers, but thank YOU for remaining here for these fun, awesome three years.
@Geminilaser in response to PostApocolyptica: I'm not sure the Hard Hats count in that case. They did make new kinds, but after the change from 1-2, the hard hats are recycled aren't they? I mean the base ones anyway.
oh it was, sometimes great youtube users get those types who forget we have personal lives outside our video uploads. should I be grateful or worried that I haven't been bombarded by next video updates?
Sorry if that question seemed a little random, I was referring to the conversation about recycling enemies a little while back, probably should have been more clear.
I really like your Megaman videos a lot, very well done and entertaining. Thank you for your time and devotion. I understand how difficult it can be to complete projects on a timeline, especially when it is a side project or hobby. After looking through some of the comments and your responses here, I would definitely recommend you try out Megaman: Day in the Limelight 2, I feel it was much better than the first one (yay, I made a subjective point for people to disagree with me). Anyway, I think it would be fun to watch you record yourself playing some of these Megaman fan games blind, it adds a lot of fun seeing people's reactions to new things. Do you think you'd ever do a blind recording? You definitely have the skill, I'm just not sure about the time, and in some cases, the patience.
And that's really half of the biggest problem to me: The stages feel like they're trying to be the indoor sections from Megaman X, but the weapons just aren't tuned for that, making weapons where they're not, say, like Power Stone, where despite its oddity it can be practiced with and perfected, but just setting up a series of situations where some weapons, particularly the 3 mentioned, are just impractical due to the fact that they just don't seem that well-designed.
Does it have to be a 2 player game? Because if not I would really like to see you guys play Kirby: The Crystal Shards! I love that game. And if it needs to be 2 player you could play the multiplayer.
I read somewhere (don't remember which video) that you know how to speak fluent Spanish. Have you ever thought of making a video completely in Spanish? I mean, I have no problem understanding you, but I've noticed you got a lot of Mexican fans (including myself of course hehe). It would be quite nice to hear you speak Spanish.
@RipperEagle96: He uses FCUltra I believe. When I've done recording tests (trying to get recording software to actually work anyway) that seems to record better than others and it's got a nice set of options.
hey gemini, what happened to the game cola youtube channel? yours looks cool but... no offense, the new game cola channel design looks kinda... how should i put this in a nicer way... bad. i hope i wasn't that offenceive to you and have a good day
Based on the difficulty of the stage, enjoyment of the stage, difficulty of the robot master, enjoyment of the robot master fight, use of their weapon, and enjoyment of their weapon: out of the original six Megaman games what would be your personal robot master line-up before taking on Dr. Wily?
okay, it's official, a video just doesn't show enough comments per page and my last comment got buried so fast that it's hard for me to stay current. >.< Is anyone else starting to have trouble tracking anything because of the speed of comment flow and the lack of available comments to view at a single time? is there a way to change this?
You really are one of the coolest people on UA-cam, if only because you take the time to respond to most, if not all, of the comments people leave you. Thanks for the videos, GL!
We cry, unfortunately; I found an article that had Capcom's response- they congratulated the effort, thanked us for all the support, and then said "But we're still not bringing the game back." Gee, thanks Capcom.
I'm so glad that I stumbled onto your channel. Mega Man has been a childhood hero to me, and you certainly do the Blue Bomber justice. I've been playing his games for about 25 years now, and you have shown me things I haven't seen before. Plus, the commentary has to be the most entertaining of any LP/Walkthrough/Show Off video I've ever seen...though it might be that I'm just a sucker for puns. Keep up the good work! I'll patiently wait to get equipped with Mega Man 7.
Has anyone else noticed that several weapons have similar functions and can be grouped? Weapons that Boomerang:Knight Crush, Quick Boomerang etc. Weapons that follow the terrain: Bubble Lead, Search Snake, Wind Storm etc... etc...
Going back and watching the first Megaman series, I feel like Megaman 1's castle stages do the most to make you feel like you're invading Wily's fortress. You run through the field leading up to it, then you traverse through and then take the piping in an effort to meet less resistance. They may not be the flashiest but I like them a lot.
You know... with the rate of how you release videos, and the large amount of Mega Man games, and the possible addition of more Mega Man games, your viewers can expect Gemini Laser videos for ATLEAST 10 more years!
You can aim Freeze Cracker (AKA Shotgun Ice) upwards, too. I assume that's what you meant by "Freeze Cracker when he's up high", but just thought I'd mention it for those who don't know.
why is Mega Man gameplay better than X gameplay when levels in Megaman X games require you to do more like hop up walls and make crazy long jumps? What makes original Mega Man gameplay still better for you than X when it seems somewhat limited (to me) by comparison?
I want to tell you that I've had a rough past couple of months and that your videos and the GameCola podcast's you've done make me laugh even in the hardest of times. Just thought you'd like to know your helping someone. Keep up the awesome videos!

On your channel art, there's a bit of text in the corner covered up by your channel icon. Out of curiosity, what does it say? :o
"I'm lost in the mountains!"
I apologize if this has already been asked before, but I have a question.

You have to admit, I guess it might be a little understandable that people ask about your projects, because they care right?
I just have one question for you at the moment. What will that person stuck in the mountains do?
Good list. I'm surprised Toadman is on it. Is that more for his stage, the fight, or his weapon?
I'll admit, I laughed for a few minutes when I saw the rest of the image.
You might be right, but perhaps it's just the fact that the places you meet the bats (or at least the only place I can remember them from MM4, Drill Man's stage) in MM4 are very enclosed, straight forward 1 screen chambers, meaning that they'd come to the same spot every time. There are videos of stages and bosses on youtube) can you do a sort of small difference sort of commentary showing comparison between the two. I know its just more work but it just a suggestion because I know that I and many other are interested in the 8-bit version.
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
How you gonna handle the 4 at a time for MM7? Are you going to use the code or play it the way it was designed?
Heya G.L. I don't know why I keep watching these, it is way too entertaining for me, and even more than playing the games. Sneak attack question though, do any of your playthroughs stcick out for you?
In your Mega Man 1-10 marathon, who was the buddy who said that some of the robot masters were learning?
Hi, I'ma back! Also, I have a few questions:
What's the status on the livestream? Did I miss it?
Gemini, what's you're opinion/recommendation/tips for using Steam? You're backloggery says you have one, but searches on GameCola and Exfanding don't give any informations on your experience with it.
Speaking of Backloggery, first Backloggiversary is in a few days! Woo!
Also, while I was gone I came up with this: "Flashmaniel Hoover" You can use it as a internet name if one you have doesn't work.
Hey GeminiLaser, I have two questions for you:
Which Robot Master would you like to see in a potential Megaman 11?
Will you play Mega Man Unlimited, even if it will be just a Let's Play?
Im having some trouble with my Mega Man games, whats the best weapon to use against Trollman?
So which megaman boss do you think is the hardest of the original NES games?
Spot question:
What's your favorite Robot Master stage theme from the classic series?
Hey Gemmini I am having trouble on every level of Megaman and Bass, Exept for Cold Man's level that is. What do I do?!?
Mr. Hoover, what method of sharing would you like to use to hear it ?
HAve you ever considered doing a video of the megaman five endless hack? Just one, to see how far you get on camera.
hello geminilaser what kind of software do you use to record megamaan
hey gemini, what happened to the game cola youtube channel? yours looks cool but... no offense, the new game cola channel design looks kinda... how should i put this in a nicer way... bad. i hope i wasn't that offenceive to you and have a good day
Based on the difficulty of the stage, enjoyment of the stage, difficulty of the robot master, enjoyment of the robot master fight, use of their weapon, and enjoyment of their weapon: out of the original six Megaman games what would be your personal robot master line-up before taking on Dr. Wily?
I just realized, it's been about a year and a half since I last asked this. So, when is the new video coming out?
okay, it's official, a video just doesn't show enough comments per page and my last comment got buried so fast that it's hard for me to stay current. >.<
Is anyone else starting to have trouble tracking anything because of the speed of comment flow and the lack of available comments to view at a single time? is there a way to change this?
You really are one of the coolest people on UA-cam, if only because you take the time to respond to most, if not all, of the comments people leave you. Thanks for the videos, GL!
What's your opinion on Sonic games? and are you ever gonna play through any?
About that plan of attack: wow, they're all Mega Man games. Also, do you like EarthBound?
We cry, unfortunately; I found an article that had Capcom's response- they congratulated the effort, thanked us for all the support, and then said "But we're still not bringing the game back."
Gee, thanks Capcom.
How do you feel about the 100,00 Strong for Bringing Back MegaMan Legends?
Has anyone else noticed that several weapons have similar functions and can be grouped? Weapons that Boomerang:Knight Crush, Quick Boomerang etc. Weapons that follow the terrain: Bubble Lead, Search Snake, Wind Storm etc... etc...
whats your favorite robot masteri'm curious to see if its geminiman
Hey Gemini?
What TF2 Character is most like you (If you have no clue what TF2 is just search up TF2 all characters!)?
Going back and watching the first Megaman series, I feel like Megaman 1's castle stages do the most to make you feel like you're invading Wily's fortress. You run through the field leading up to it, then you traverse through and then take the piping in an effort to meet less resistance. They may not be the flashiest but I like them a lot.
//stupid questions
Have you ever played Megaman 8 bit Death Match? Also, who do you think would win in a death battle; Megaman or Kirby?
You know... with the rate of how you release videos, and the large amount of Mega Man games, and the possible addition of more Mega Man games, your viewers can expect Gemini Laser videos for ATLEAST 10 more years!
You can aim Freeze Cracker (AKA Shotgun Ice) upwards, too. I assume that's what you meant by "Freeze Cracker when he's up high", but just thought I'd mention it for those who don't know.
Who would you say its the most iconic robot master of each game?
why is Mega Man gameplay better than X gameplay when levels in Megaman X games require you to do more like hop up walls and make crazy long jumps? What makes original Mega Man gameplay still better for you than X when it seems somewhat limited (to me) by comparison?
I noticed while playing the Wily Wars that they fixed Top Spin up a bit, specifically making you not bounce off of targets like a pinball. XD
