I upgraded mine to a i5 4570, what a big difference over the 3220t that was in it, I thought the 4570 was too much power for it ,but it handles it like a champ, even the cooler keeps it just hair under 80c running cinebench. Now I just want to use it for something, I don't want to sell it, maybe as my backup PC, idk. Love these little things.

My room is full of haswell computers and I have one that runs like three OSes and it's my main machine. I put a core i54590 in this thing THE VERY SECOND I FOUND OUT IT HAD A SOCKETED CPU. I almost ended up melting the fan inside of the poor thing and figured out that the core I34130T inside of the system is actually held back by the memory bus. It was able to edit 1080p video in my big fast motherboard alone just like my core i54590 and then my core i54590 was immediately disabled upon entering "the oven" whether it was due to thermal issues for memory bandwidth issues is not even debatable I saw it loud and clear this thing does not know how to manage memory

    THX for your Video!
    -
And for all who are interested --- I upgraded my Lenovo Thinkcentre Tiny M93p Intel Pentium G3220T
    Now it has a Intel Core i5-4590 SR1QJ (4 X 3.30GHZ) and works perfect! (normal version 84 Watt , without T or S)
    I use a PSU - output = 19V 4,22A
I simply cut off the cable with the yellow plug from the original power supply
and attached it to an old power supply with enough power. ;-)

If you want to know which are the best processors for this PC in addition to help for the (m73p and m93p) they are:
    i7 4765T 35w (The lowest consumption and performance of all i7 4th)
    i7 4785T 35w
    i7 4790T 45w
    i7 4770T 45w
    i7 4770S (Best in performance) 65w
    i7 4790S (I don't recommend it but it can handle it) 65w+
There are xeon processors that are similar in performance but the integrated ones are not very good so to speak.
The rest of the processors (without letters or K) require modifications for the original adapter, which is a PSU (65w). I recognize that any of them are good depending on their use and most are expensive in price (all those with T) and yes. When you buy the 65w ones you have to have a good air flow type because they will heat up with the mini heatsink and fan that these 2 machines come with (I hope it helped you!!)

As someone who has this exact computer and a haswell system of a larger size, I can indeed confirm a quad core CPU with full desktop performance inside of this computer is what you would call "a fire hazard"

The cooler will probably handle the heat load OK, but it will be very loud under sustained load. I'm not sure what adapter your talking about. There is no adapter needed for a CPU upgrade. The Tiny series of PCs from Lenovo cannot use dedicated video cards.

Just to add that it really needs to be an Intel i3, i5, i7 or Xeon that uses 45 watts or less due to the limitations of cooling and the power supply. I've just upgraded mine from an i3 4130T to a i7 4765T (with the help of this handy guide) and it works fine. They are both 35 watt parts.
