- This took me hours to trigger, the dialogue between the strangers and hosea is bugged midways, so i had to redo it over and over again till i get the whole conversation. Hope you enjoyed!

Its not the 90's games get regular updates. Quality of life updates add more content often than not. I get ya though but it honestly should be industry norm

@@devinvenne they did. It was released in 2018 and last update was 2020. Alot can change in 2 years. Cyberpunk and no mans sky proof but i gets ya has been 4 years but i meant when they did do story updates
Wow, never got this before. This alone shows how much of a good talker Hosea is. He’s slick.
He literally said "Either you get the F outta here or I'll blow your brains out" but in fancy words lol
Last time I played I got arrested in Saint Denis after massacring waves after waves of the law, and I got a cutscene where Hosea comes into the Saint Denis police station with a crate of booze, then it just cuts to you and Hosea leaving the station while you thank him for springing you
Like I literally got arrested for mass murder, Arthur should really of been hung, and Hosea just gets me out like it’s nothing (I get that the game can’t differentiate from crimes like that but still, it’s funny the explanation for me getting away with it was that Hosea turned conning into a super power)

You can actually tell when the local realizes that he's in way over his head coming up to a camp with armed guards and large men with guns telling him, as kindly as possible, "get the fuck out"

Thank you for the explanations, it does make sense now and this just made me respect Hosea even more. Wonder how the gang will be if they led by him since the beginning. He has the wisdom, negotiation skill as well as intimidating personality, yet he's just behind Dutch about people skill.
Look at his right hand too in the five to ten seconds before he says that. He starts subtly moving it closer to his holster, showing the visitors that he is ready to draw down on them, should he need to. This and Hosea drawing on Bill in a split second are some of my favourite moments of his in the game and they’re not even apart of a mission or cutscene either
and for even dumber people, its meaning is "don't chew on more than you can swallow"

That’s why I love this game because they added realism I mean how do you not notice a camp of 20 or so people sitting outside of town
It’s stuff like this how I talked MY way into a 50 minute video about details on the game.
Keep in mind that the real life map of rdr2 is not the same one thats in the game
You have to imagine that actually the map is bigger in real life than in game. You go from Valentine to Saint Denis and that equates to in game a couple of miles when in actuality you would’ve traveled from like Colorado to Florida (not sure about the actual respective locations but you get the point). When the forest surrounding Clemens Point (or whatever the cliffside camp in this video was called) is in game 1/3 mile across, in real life it would be something like 5 miles, I would guess.
"We heard there was some problem-causing folk around here... in response we walked right into their camp ground alone to threaten them!"
Thats what you did back then if you werent going to sit passively and wait and hope. Grab whatever other males of able body to go with you, take weapons for just in case and go head on. Talk respectfully and get your point across.
These guys and Ms Downes are the only non gang members I ever seen at camp

@@bread_0113 I’m assuming that the gang would never tell an outsider where they’re located so I think it just doesn’t make since but happens anyways just so you know Thomas is dead

Wow pretty interesting, I’ve never seen this interaction before, after years there is still more to discover, this is the proof that this is one of the best video games ever created.

To trigger this encounter you need to pick up Mary Linton's letter and start reading (Mary's voice over), then stop it it is starting. You will then hear Hosea talking to these men and can approach. Ah, make sure you completed Strauss' missions, because I tried to trigger this encounter and as I was heading to where the men were with Hosea, Strauss came and there was a cutscene with him, so I missed the encounter lol.
I don't think there's one player, after six years of this game being out, that has seen everything there is to see. No one.

Those NPCs are using the weird and rare big Morgan horse that is also used for Jeremiah in the epilogue. You can steal theirs and keep just don't leave it in the stable or it will revert to the small size

You can actually see they're scared. They don't want any trouble in town.
Low rate of criminal activities, more peaceful town.
Not far from there happened of Cornwall burning the whole town because folks didn't want his products.
That's why they're being negative to scare off people who are in group with guns and camping near town.

That's why Hosea's the huckster -- he's got the silver tongue. I daresay he's the same level with Trelawny or better yet above because he can be pompous (if he needs to) and he can fight.
Arthur just have to stand there and look mighty intimidating.

@@josiahgonzalez942 Well the "Magicians for Sport" mission shows Josiah can endure being tortured (he was brought to that small cabin over at the Braithwaites -- where Arthur & Charles tracked him down) but does implies he's not much of a brawler/able to protect himself with guns. Does he even carry guns?

Acording to Rob Nelson it was not good enough so they cut it but could have added more random events withh camp members.

I had an interaction at Clemens point in the dead of night at camp, there was a question mark like when Arthur talks to one of the girls about murdering people, only this time he sat down at the campfire and told a story like we see other members of the gang do.

@@Charliosos he apologizes for being a grumpy asshole and explains he’s just worried about the gang, wants everyone to be OK, like Dutch and Hosea. Of course this is paraphrasing. But I have 300 hours on PC (300 on Xbox as well) and I have NEVER seen this once. This game is so deep.
I didn't know that was a rare interaction. I did that on my first play through. After researching for my second play through, apparently I've done a whole bunch or found "rare" stuff just by happen stance.
@@irregularrex4004 so many of the interactions are so rare. For example, after you get the letter from Mary in Chp 1, there's a chance two random townsfolk will visit camp, where Hosea threatens to them to leave
"great inability at basic comprehension" I agree, a lot of consternation happened due to my own brainfarts. And a lot of people seem utterly incapable of hearing what I'm trying to convey when I speak to them... They don't hear what I do say yet they hear a lot of things that I don't say and then it's impossible to convince them that what they heard isn't what I said.
i think just saying "people seem utterly incapable of comprehending what I am saying to them" is better. I also think that you should remove the "do" right before you say "say".

Or maybe they do hear it, but they refuse to acknowledge being wrong and either starts gaslighting you, or trying to strawman your arguments. Those types are annoying as hell.

I think this is not a great discovery such as the presented in video, but when riding for a long time with Arthur, he starts singing and humming, idk i just found it cool

The “bad” thing about RDR2 is you cannot be everywhere to experience all the little things happening at any camp or elsewhere!
You’re out there investigating a creepy serial killer’s clue and this interaction could be happening at the same time!
Or you’re fighting the Night Folks in the spooky bayou because you were looking for orchids at 3am then the even spookier ghost train has sped away causing you to miss it until the next playthrough!

Being manipulative only gets one so far. The Wise know this.
I doubt Hosea could have kept the likes of Micah in line, at least not without relying on Arthur's muscle. Then again, Hosea probably wouldn't have let Micah join the gang in the first place 😉
I like how at 1:24 right as Hosea makes his subtle threat you can see ms grimshaw in the background move into position with her shotgun, the van der linde’s so close as a gang they almost thought and fought as one

That's crazy I ran into that on my first playthroough of rdr when everything was still new to me. I love how everything just flows
Had this on my first playthrough. Didn't realize it was rare. They were so close to camp though I thought they were related to the main story somehow, like Milton was.

I saw Sean shooting snakes while he was on guard duty once. I have no idea of that was scripted or if the snakes were following me.
I don't think they were following me since the event happened right after I unintentionally fell through the map while gathering supplies from one of the camp's wagons. I teleported back to ground level and saw Sean shooting snakes lol.

This is explains how Milton and Ross just so happened to stumble across Arthur and Jack close to camp.
I’ve wanted nothing more than to trigger this encounter, how many play through sans I have yet to. Pretty bad ass, gives me chills.

It happened to me only once during my 2nd playthrough I believe, it's indeed the rarest encounter and feels so natural seeing that people are passing through there and they go to see who's there, unlike other games where your camp or house is basically a fortress where no one can enter except you or your allies

this game makes every other game that ever existed in any genre look like a broken f-ing doll house. really. and the only thing that is missing for me is ability to just sit on the ground anywhere or on any chair. just that realistic feeling of it, you just want to sit somewhere sometimes to rest.

I swear every time I get this interaction miss grimshaw always comes up to me with some unskippable dialogue 😭
funny enough i got this and either a repeat or some variation of on my first play through and had no idea it was uncommon
I remember getting this on my 1st play through, boy was I lucky..
I heard the encounter on my current play through lol but I didn’t know where the voices where coming from I was running in circles. 😂

I just had an encounter in chapter 2 where Javier tracked me down and said bill had been kidnapped. Then him and I rescued bill from bounty hunters. Never ever had this one before in 6 years of playing 😅

You have to cause a lot of trouble around valentine in chapter 2 to get this.
For me it happened late in the night. I was like "Is there gonna be gun fight...right here in the camp?".
Imagine my disappointment when the guy just said Goodbye and left.
Its really funny that these two randos came right in front of our camp yet Pinkertons and Agent Milton could not find our location😁

I've saw this before by someone else but in my 2200 hrs Experience i've never encountered it in my Playthroughs.
Pretty sure this happened on my current playthrough, I was wondering if I’d forgotten about it or something because I didn’t think it happened before

Hosea is the best example of this, but it’s insane when you compare the intelligence of the van der linde gang to the others, like the O’driscal’s and Lemoyne Raiders. You interact with those bunch and there’s nothing in between the ears, can’t even shoot straight either.
That's just because both gangs are down to their 800th or so members after Arthur murdered the first 799 of 'em. They take whoever they can get at this point.
This encounter and Mrs. Downs coming to camp to pay her husband's debt are very rare.

I wonder what a Npc would think or if we played as an outlaw trying to rob the gangs camp and kill everyone how difficult it would be. Considering Arthur and John are like the best gun slingers in the world at that point and also micah Dutch Charles are damn good shots too. I imagine it’d be like the invisible snipers
I’ve got this one time, tried to shoot them afterwards but the game makes you super slow, the horses act dumb and they make the npc’s speed off and despawn

Even tho Bill always got a busted ear drum from Hosea, he was having his back & would destroy them both if they even tried to punch or attack Hosea. Bill was dumb but Loyal AF.

@@irregularrex4004its a rare request from Pierson. He ask for squirrels so he can make food. But it only occurs in the horseshoe camp. Progress after that you miss your chance

It's easy actually , drain your health core and stamina and talk to pearson at around 10:30 save after draining try again

It's true. I got a "horse rustling" event with Uncle in chapter three a couple weeks ago. Never seen it before. One of the guys you can kill in the mission has an M1899 pistol.
