how the room affects the sound: the voice can sound cold and "short-breathy" or more legato and elegant in another opera house.. that should be thought about, not only the singers instrument.. (I could hear this difference clearly between first and second singer)
Love to see Jack Swanson and Santiago Ballerini getting more attention. They are both fantastic be canto tenors. I remember discovering Jack Swanson on YT several years ago when he was only like 21 and I knew then he would have a great career ahead of him.
I don't know enough about the opera to know the race of the character he's playing, as per the libretto. However the fact that he's black may be the way the director saw the role
What a strange pick for Cessa di piu resistere. The all-time best versions (for me) are from the 2007 Met production and the 2009 Royal Opera London (both Florez). But I prefer Florez or Kraus for most of these arias, especially the most difficult ones like Terra Amica.
Rocky for ever 😍
0:42 I swear he stole some air there 😂
10:48 El mejor Ramiro; el mejor tenor rossiniano y mozartiano de todos.
También cantó Wagner…
Rockwell Blake and Jack Swanson stealing the show
Can someone explain importance of Pesaro? All the good rossini singing seems to be done there
Rossini Opera Festival takes place in Pesaro every summer, wich is also Rossini’s city of birth.
Konu Kim, ❤❤❤ 13:42
4:10 😂 😂 is the character supposed to be well-endowed
The last tenor wow 🤯🤯🤯

y kraus donde esta
Observa El repertorio de Kraus y verás que no se inclinaba a Rossini
0:48 omg is he supposed to be playing a black person?
I believe it's Bruce Ford
Let's just say cultural sensitivity is a relatively recent development.

So as per the libretto, Arogante is Nubian King, so yes he would be African.
Does this mean that a non black singer should not sing Porgy or Joe from Showboat? Half my repertoire would be gone.........

Hmmm first time hearing Jack Swanson. For a minute there I thought it was Maxim Mironov.
Jack has a bigger instrument.
@@ciociosan It seems so. Yes. Which is why I'm surprised I never heard of him. Solid technique.
@@ciociosan That's what she said.
Who os the first tenor? 👀
Rockwell Blake 😊
Para mi los dos verdaderos rossinianos preferidos
No solo por la belleza del timbre, agilidad, fiato, color, etc.
1.- Flórez
2.- Rockwell
quel repertoire de merde
