Ladies as always, continue to be safe out there. My friend was followed into a rest room during holiday shopping. The restroom was at the back of the store where no one even saw it happen. As soon as she reached for her gun, the guy ran. Broad daylight, busy store, didn't matter. Watch your back.

My youngest was 3 when I started carrying. She made me so nervous because she was VERY interested in our tools. We had to be very open and honest with her about the danger and safety rules around them. I honestly think it helped A LOT to take her and her siblings to a spot where we could practice and help her shoot a little .22. Her hands were on it with my husband's covering hers. She pulled the trigger and felt some of the recoil. (He absorbed a lot of it with his hands over hers.) We did the same with a long gun with him sitting on the ground with her on his lap. He allowed her to pull the trigger. She then had some experience and understood as much as possible that they were powerful TOOLS and they could be dangerous, they were definitely not toys for her to mess with. She realized very quickly that she didn't want to touch them at all without help. Of course it was still discussed on a regular basis to reinforce those rules. Taking the mystery out of the subject helped immensely.

You did absolutely the right thing! I was young when my dad taught me about guns and how to handle them. He taught me to respect their power and handle them accordingly.

Treat it like a tool, and they will think of it as a tool. Classic, teach a kid how to make a fire with all the steps of kindling, stepping up the size of the wood to a fire. After they go thru it a couple of times, it becomes a tool.

I love this video! I got my concealed carry last winter. I run 5+ days per week, and push my son in a stroller for all of them. A man in a car started following me and driving circles around me, day after day. No matter the time it was, or where I was, he was somehow there. It was so scary and made me realise how defenceless my son and I were! He finally stopped following me after I stared at him and put my hand on my gun…interestingly enough.

Thank you for this video! I have been uncomfortable carrying since having our daughter, but we recently had a scare at the playground where we were chased by a man with a samurai sword. Yes, unbelievable. Cops pretty much blew me off saying it wasn’t illegal because Texas is open carry and he was probably “just trying to scare us and wasn’t going to actually do anything.” I’ve been looking for good concealed carry holsters to use while carrying my child and will be going with the Cloud Tuck beltless thanks to you!

I'm 3 month PP and wondered my whole pregnancy how I could carry while in maturity clothing. I've also wondered how I could carry while baby wearing. I feel like there's a need in the market for something because being pregnant and having a super young child are definitely the most vulnerable I've been. I'd be interested to see a review on the bag.

I've heard holsters for men with big bellies kinda works OR carrying at 4/5 o clock. But I'll probably resort to a bag when I get pregnant again too.

I think the best method is in a video that I saw for kids. Kids do not understand death. Because of this lack of understanding they do not really "get" the dangers of guns.
The video had a watermelon. The watermelon had a smiley face cut and pasted on it (not a real face, but a generic smiley). The kids named it and talked with it. Then the gun safety begins. They are all brought back and asked if they knew what this was (it was a gun). They were asked if they wanted to see what happens if the watermelon was shot. They were given safety gear and made to stand behind a line. The watermelon was shot and exploded in a million pieces. Then the kids were asked about this. It was explained that the gun is not a toy and that the watermelon could never be put back together again. The kids understood this. Did they want that to happen to their friend? Of course all the kids said no! They understood it was not a toy. They were taught to never touch a gun and to let mommy and daddy know if they found one or if one of their friends had one.
Afterwards they were taught how to shoot BBs and they had a good time. These kids will respect (not fear) guns. This is how you really teach gun safety. While they are younger, they are SUPERVISED by you and will be engrained with safety and reverence.

I would love a video/discussion on what to do when you are aware of a stalking/predatorial or other alarming situation. I recently had a very close situation where I was being followed and was fully aware, but didn’t know what to do since I was unarmed. God spared me that day and I’m so grateful I didn’t have my babies with me.

Great video Stav. You always cover all of the options. Two things I want to comment about which you mentioned is that everyone, male or female, is to keep situational awareness always and when seconds count, the police are only minutes away, not seconds away. We need to protect ourselves when others can't. By the way, I like your sweater and your diamond rings.

You should definitely have a look at the ukoala bags, I’ve seen them at gun shows and they look solid. Some of the styling is unusual (eg steampunk etc) but there seemed to be lots of varieties.
I have used a Maxpedition Versipack in the same configuration, slung at hip/butt level and it works great !
BTW, Maxpedition sling bags work great as diaper bags ! Being able to pull it around front into a chest-rig orientation allows you to access diapers etc with one hand while controlling your baby with the other (especially on those plastic fold out changing stations).

You’re so relatable! I’m new to guns but my husband was born & raised to work with them. As someone who grew up scared of guns, you made me (as a mom of 4 young ones) you seem so helpful! Bought pepper spray per your code, but I love that you relate it so casually (in a way that it helps me personally, & in training,) so I am painfully grateful for your channel!
Can you give me a firearm for someone to stop someone in, say, a late-night stop at Walmart? My husband says a ,22 is not going to do much, but I’m scared of a 9 (don’t roast me lol)
But for a new-to-guns gal, who wants to protect my kids, what could stop an offender but also not be “too much” for a newbie?
So happy I happened upon your channel. You’re lovely in so many ways! Tysm in advance.

Great video. Not to much out there on how to carry and be a mom. One thing that I know that was helpful is we would go over drills and what would happen if... with my kids. If you talk about it they will just do it by memory a lot of the time, not always. This went with guns (take them somewhere safe so they know how loud a gun sounds), smoke alarms, and even took them to a training drill where fire fighters cut a car open so they would see what would happen in an accident. As parents its important to educate our kids without scaring them. Also I would ask them what would you do if and then we could go over what I would like them to do and see if they retained it from the last time. It's a great car game. It helps take the fear out of life if you just help them be prepared. Also who won the give a way?

I'm glad you mentioned the teamwork! Our situation is a little different so if something happens while we are all together at home, I have to be the gun defender so that's why my training is super important even more than my hubs's. He runs super fast (I'm crazy slow) so I'm comfortable with him being the one to grab our little one and take off if he needs to. I'm going to a seminar tomorrow on the legalities and plan to ask about our situation, but he's a green card holder so I don't know what would happen in the courts if he were to have to use our weapon instead of me as a citizen.

Though I've never used a leg holster, I wear a flashbang holster while riding for this same reason (commenting from my husband's account lol). The only obstacle I had initially was finding the right bra for it. I also don't have a large chest which seemed to be a problem at first. I have 2 bras that have a split band between cups that the snap seems to fit perfectly between. The retention is solid and the draw is quick with some practice. Just have to get it in the right place for comfort. I have no problem with printing with just a form fitting tank top even. They're relatively inexpensive and I actually found mine on Gunbroker for less than $20 including shipping. Bonus!! My husband and I also have a conversation before we leave about the location of his holster so I have a plan in my head in the event I would need to access that as well. Obviously , that wouldn't apply to you, Kim, as you'd be in his position, but if you do have a passenger who is capable of such things, I feel like that's always a good conversation to have given I can imagine it would be difficult to drive and access your firearm at the same time if the situation arose. Sorry for the length ladies...Hope it helps if even just a little bit :)

My dad had a lot of guns in the house when I was a kid in the 70s. We knew about gun safety and where they all were and we also KNEW better than to ever touch them. We were taught about them and therefore we were no longer curious about them.

Hi, big fan of the show! Love it! I had a question about carrying in the purse. Is that ideal as I just purchased a carry purse for my wife and wanted to see how that even works. Semper Fidelis!

I have 4 kids, 10,7,4,8 months. I wanted to take my two youngest to the park but decided not to because I wasn’t able to carry my gun in me due to having a baby carrier. Can you do a video on using a baby carrier and carrying at the same time? The carrier I have, has a Fanny pack on it but I’m not sure if that’s the best option.

Sabbath observant Jews say Proverbs 31:10-31 at the start of our Friday night meal (we sing it, actually) every single week. One opinion as to its origin is that it is Abraham's eulogy for his wife Sarah. While the opening verse (31:10) is most often translated as "A woman of valor...", the word "chayil" (valor) is also translated as strength and force. So appropriate.

Pregnancy! I carried before my pregnancy now I feel like I can’t find something I feel is safe enough to carry around my Gravid stomach and while having my son.

Don't know if you'd consider this relevant, but have you considered the "SNEAKY PETE" holster?? It works really well for a little GLOCK42. Anything bigger than that, and it looks like you're carrying a binocular case w/you.
