So your biggest problem with this knife is that it doesn't lock when it's closed. Which means it's like every other pocket knife in existence.

Ridiculous review, this is stupidity not a bad knife! If ur knife is faulty return it for one with a lock that works and that clip thing happens with all locket knives with clips

Agreed.... Watched a ridiculous 2 minute intro to hear this guy blame Milwaukee because he carries his knife where he knows it interferes with his seat belt. Granted, it should and does lock closed - the reviewed knife is broken.

My Milwaukee Hawkbill Fastback doesnt have that issue. Ive actually even tried to make it do that, & it's still locked in place my friend, until I press the Fastback button.
I honestly think you have received a defected knife honestly. Ive seen that kind of problem with knives in my past, but surprisingly with my Hawkbill, which I use for my Vending company, on opening boxes, it's been amazing. I would send the defected back, explain what happened, & receive a better version of this, without the defect 👍🙏😎
But when that problem does occur, it sux, for sure....

This exact knife is what turned me into a fan. I use to often boxes. There is play in the blade while closed but is locked. Seems like sweaty belt is only real problem but if you got accident u can use it to cut belt off easy

I didn't like that model either. In fact I didn't like any of that first line of Fastback knives. I didn't like the feel, the design or the quality of the blades, they dulled when looking at them and would not hold an edge. I had all 3 of the original fastback folders and hated every last one so I sold them to my local pawn shop. Now it is 2022 and Milwaukee has re-designed their Fastback line and I recently purchased several of the drop point, one of the spring assisted tanto and a couple of the newly designed hawkbill knives and I am definitely much happier with the new lineup. They are bigger, they are tougher, they feel good in your hand and they will get dangerously sharp and don't seem to have too many issues staying that way. In addition they aren't too hard on the eyes so I've started carrying them. I have to say I agree with just about everything you said about the original. Complete joke of a knife but Milwaukee must have heard and listened to the complaints because they seem to have fixed most of the issues with this new line. As far as power tools are concerned the only Milwaukee tool I have is an electric sawzall and I have to say it is a pretty sweet specimen. My stepdad bought it a few years before he died and I ended up with it when he passed away. I don't use it much but when I have it is a gem to say the least. I am a big Dewalt power tool fan and most everything I have is Dewalt but their knives are shit so I don't use them.......

If you get them from work I'd be more than happy to take a couple off your hands. I'm a week away from becoming a groundman for a line crew and could use a couple

It happens to all knives with pocket clips. I lost my benchmade 940 for about a month. I found it hanging from the side of a 12' A-frame ladder at the fire house. Jackets are also notorious for pulling knives from pockets. If you live in a cold climate area, the Milwaukee pocket clips are big enough to grab and pull out of a pocket with gloves on. Pros and Cons. You're better off with a fixed blade skinner IMO anyway

Just put the knife in your other pocket (the right side and you won't have the bent clip and it won't fall out your pocket, which will avoid it from falling out aobyour kis never gets their hands on it. Most knives dont have locks that lock the knife closed so sounds like a personal problem. I got this knife and couldn't figure out what the feature was supposed to be since the button doesn't engage with anything inside the knife I found when I took it apart and just assumed It was a defect or a gimmick.

seems a little unrealistic to be comlaining about ur choice of spot for the knife to be colliding with ur seatbelt any other knife can have this same problem and i mean the knife is cheap as hell like u said basically disposable so why u gonna complain about the cheap clip?????? and how ur own fault of bending it wuth ur seatbelt is why ur kid got it from YOU kosing it on the couch like come one man lmaaaaaaaaaaaao

They've redesigned this knife and the new version seems to be much more superior. I've used and abused the fastback knives for years. That stupid pocket clip sucked. The new one is all around a better product

I was thinking you should actually posses some knowledge of the item you're doing a warning "Watch this before" type of video about. So my comment is here to help educate you and bring value to your video and maybe now it can actually provide people with some informative content. haha.
You should be more specific when you are talking about Milwaukee's Hawkbill Fastback knives simply cuz there are at least THREE different versions of it out there. None of which are the same.
For instance, yours is model 48-22-1985. It's a solid blade and going towards the tip, the curve of it tapers off gradually. The spine on it has some interesting... jimping? As it looks like it's been bit by a miniature shark..haha.. a place to put your thumb once the blade is deployed? I dunno.
I believe mine is the better version tho... model 48-22-1525 and the blade has a "D" shaped thumb hole to assist in opening if you don't want to flick the blade out. When adding this hole they did it in a way to make the blade look like the silhouette of an eagle... Hey Cincinnati, nice touch! The curve of the Hawkbill going toward the tip, quickly points down.
It works as it should, locks in both positions... when open and when folded closed. Hope they learned how to sharpen a knife at Milwaukee by now cuz new, mine was basically butter knife dull... except the tip, which btw is STILL fully intact and quite pointy.
The third model 48-22-1526 is basically the same tool as the 48-22-1525 in every single way except that the sharpened portion of the edge is slightly shorter and it's tip is blunt, rounded off and therefore much more safe.
    BOOM!..
    You're welcome.

This, I have to say, is one of the better reviews on the UA-cam. Quick (after all of the cat footage) and to the point, with great information. I look forward to your upcoming videos. Be well.
