Also- as far as Potato goes, as he said he was a new player. Unfortunately what happened was after server restart Dayz brings you right to the main menu and a new player wouldn't typically remember what server he was in. Which is why he never returned sadly.

Hey I believe the light you saw in Staroye was actually a flare. Whenever a town is about to get gassed, a red flare will appear over the town. A lot easier to notice during nighttime
I was logging out in stary right when a gas bomb dropped on it I was at 1 second heard the explosion and logged out I didn’t even know that was a thing I thought it was a helicopter crash. Had to google to make sure and boi am I glad I logged out when I did lol.

Just a little tip for any new players since you were talking about it in the video: you can drink at least about 6 handfuls from the well after you get the full stomach icon. You can also drink two full bottles or two full canteens or a full cooking pot before throwing up unless you've recently drank or eaten something.

I was playing Livonia yesterday, met a brand new player and showed them the well and how to make a knife from bones. As we were talking about what we should do next, I was like "man, we shouldn't be just standing here in the op-" and then he dropped dead from a sniper shot 😂😂😂😂😂 They ended up getting me too. All I had was a single shot 12ga and 1 shell. I ducked in a building to tryband figure out where the shooter was, and got sniped through the window.
Bro people on PC seem chill, if You play on console as soon as they see you they Open fire or are extremely deceiving, a guy taught I was gonna kill him and instead I shot a chicken next to him, told him i would help him Cook it, as soon as it was cooked he pulled a gun out and killed me... I spawned next to him knocked him out and took the chicken xD

When I started playing dayz the first dude I met was after 1 hours of running shitless with healthbar in yellow & this mf out of dark with everything helped me out. Not just with food, band aid but getting me equipped, guns that’re helpfull, places to go extra. We friends since a year and often play. This remind me of that lol

This was an Australian official server! If you're having a rough time on official servers, I'd recommend The Struggle Bus for a great community vanilla server 👍👍
If you get kicked off due to a server restart, you can just wait a few minutes and then hit the play button to reconnect! I logs you back into the last server you played on 👍 Also, if you use a launcher like DZSA it will tell you the last time you played on each server on the server list!
open up your options menu (i play console maybe it would be escape on kbm) and click “online” it shows you the name of the server you’re in, which is just a collection of numbers and a region
The map is so huge that it's pretty normal to not see anyone for an hour or two, but sometimes the spawn towns can get a bit crazy if a bunch of people spawn into the server around the same time 👍
Hmm, if you've watched a few DayZ videos and are interested, I think it's definitely a game I'd recommend! But you must be ready for quite a difficult learning curve in the beginning, there isn't really any sort of in-game tutorial, so learning the basics of survival and how to navigate the map is a large hurdle for new players! However, if you can make it past that, it's an amazing game with tons of replayability 👍👍 Also, it goes on sale quite often so you could probably wait for one of those if you're worried about the price value

I’m pretty new and found that fishing has helped tons with food, finding a cooking pot for water has been a godsend for me too
