- In today's adventure, I decided to try out an official Chernarus server as a lone wolf and ended up finding an early ghillie suit. I then made it my goal to track and hunt down some other survivors and my journey took me all across the map in this solo adventure filled with many highs and many lows...

Official is the way! Love to see it. When rocking ghillie it is really good to mix up colours. I usually prefer the moss full suit and then craft gun wraps and ghillie hood. It breaks up the silhouette better in my opinion. Also, you will get fully ghillied a ton faster if you breakdown that which you don’t want and craft it into what you are missing.
The other thing…. I mean the video was nearing the end which gave it away, but grass does not render far. As soon as you decided to go on that “bunker hill” I knew you’d sealed your fate almost certainly.
Trees and bushes are the only thing you want to move between with ghillie. If you are in deep bush and know someone is within roughly 100m then you can utilize grass, but only in very close quarters situations…. On a hill like that you are SO incredibly silhouetted!
P.S. love your content. Very few people keep ghillie limitations in mind. I’ve been ghillied next to a ghillie friend many times only to have their head blown off while the attacker has no clue I’m right there 😅
“Pro tip” - if you only have one ghillie gun wrap - keep your unwrapped gun on your left shoulder for it to be less visible. The suit covers more of the gun on your left shoulder than it does the right. Also, if you are surveying from a distance or making general movements through brush it is good to keep weapons stowed, even on the back. The swing of guns when held in the hands is usually the main give away for a ghillie player. Compass bearings, iZurvive measurement tool, and binoculars/range finder go hard in this game!
These are some great tips! I think staying in bushes/tree lines as much as possible is definitely a must. I need to be more patient, DayZ requires a level of patience that I haven't fully acquired yet coming from other games like Tarkov 🤣 Thank you for checking out the video! Patience is key. If a player is being remotely overt in their actions, chances are they will be overt again in a relatively short time frame. Sometimes it is best to wait for individuals (or groups) to depart from the initial location. Observe from as far as possible and always be thinking where you can cut them off long-term.
Example: If they are at the airfield, I would plot the three most likely places I would go from there. If there is no sign or sound of players being outside of the airfield then they will most likely head west to Mishinko, south to VMC, or north west to Tisy. VMC + Mishinko can be cut off from one position, as with Mishinko + tisy, and tisy + Kamensk.
#Ambushes
The change to zombies hearing with 1.25 makes people desperate. People don’t take the time to hide dead zombies, they tend to shoot zombies way more often, and they can’t easily escape once they barricade in a structure.
First day of the wipe I killed a full ghillie with m4 and DMR. He shot my buddy in the back of his plate with the DMR, knocking him out, I only located him because of the literal 15 or more zombies chasing him 🤣
Broke his leg and uncon’d him just as he closed a door to a building which gave us time to force his friend to combat log while we threw grenades in his, seperate, building. Then finished off the sitting duck with a broken lag and more than a dozen Z’s around his house.
Player lag triggers at 1100m, zombies spawn at 300m, they despawn after 6 minutes if no player is within 125m. These are the main utilities besides gunshots for where distant players are. Map knowledge lets you deduce where they are likely to go from there.
I’m very new to dayz. Played about 20 hours on official and every time I really got going I started getting gassed out of nowhere. Someone chased us down and kept gassing us and they were completely invisible. Felt like hackers for real

@@ThrobRoss I don't play DayZ anymore, but when I was just starting out on DayZ, official was recommended, however I found that community servers were just more fun to play, and defo had less of the cheating BS going on xD Community servers especially the ones that aren't modded heavily are really fun to play. I had quite a lot of really nice adventures with random people.

That's always a great tactic, would've been the right move here as well! I always like to have a suppressor for my sniper rifle as well, but in this case I ran out of water bottles 🥲

Moving right after shooting was 100% the right play there, especially since it wasn't a silenced shot! I just got greedy, and it ended up with me losing my life ☠️

3 people I won't kill someone cooking someone fishing and someone drinking at a well just doesn't seem like the sportsmanlike thing to do . But everyone has there own style of playing nice video.

Good video. You got high risk to get exposed on the top of the hangar there. I would have stayed hidden and just let them cross the airfield for the ambulances. There, would be iconic.

I think staying hidden in bushes or trees would've been the way smarter play! I need to learn more patience in pvp 🤣 The super aggro Tarkov player in me still hasn't fully adjusted ☠️

Yea, it shows you have more patience with hackers than the smart people that don't join official 😅
Sadly, almost always ends with a hacker kill.
I play vanilla but on community. That way there are less hackers because they get banned by admins.
I gave up on official because i always get killed by a hacker 5-15 min after picking up a high tier gun.
It's frustrating.
@@benanders4412 Yea hackers are way too common on official sadly, I'd love to find a community server with the same exact loot parameters as official with decent pop, good admins, and decent ping. I haven't been able to find a community server I love that fills all 3 of those yet. Dusk Vanilla is pretty good, but they slightly adjust the loot pools, and DayOne is fun but the ping is really high for me

I have 300 hrs into the game and never have I found such equipment...
I'd definitely make sure to check the military convoy spawns! They are not always up, but when you do find one, you have a chance to get some of the best gear in the game! NVGs, DMR, LAR, LEMAS, ghillie suit, etc!

I've been having great luck at convoy spawns lately but not so much at heli crashes 🤣 The first hour of looting in this run was definitely really lucky, CR-527 with scope and mag, plate carrier, and full ghillie 👍

Why do you always avoid taking frags?
I was always worried about them getting ruined in my inventory then blowing up and killing me, but during a livestream, I think someone said that they can't get ruined if they are attached to a plate carrier! So I've been picking them up more frequently now 👍👍
How many players are on Rhein Servers you visit ?
This was on high population official, so it was usually at about 40-60 players online

Almost 700 hours at this point! When I was learning the game, I built up the habit of double tapping everyone to make sure they wouldn't get back up and I haven't been able to completely shake it yet 🤣 I've gotten a bit better and have learned the uncon pose now though 👍

I wasn't really thinking about ammo in the moment 🤣 The first kill was alright, but the spray on the second guy was quite messy and I used way more shots than necessary! I haven't had much practice full auto spraying with the pso scope, I usually use the iron sights for full auto 👍

Zombies are the worst part of this game. Would be better if they were removed.
You think so? They definitely add a layer of complexity to the survival and add risk to making lots of noise in a fight 👍
Not hating but it's kinda lame to KOS someone cooking at a campsite... could easily hold him up and get better content. Those interactions are what separate the good from the great imo
True. But we don't know how many hours he has at the game. A lot of less experienced players are scared to hold people up because of the risk it involves.

It’s fine having that opinion but it’s completely flawed to suggest that someone should play that way. Its a quick way to find yourself on the beach unnecessarily and end up with zero content.
Who are the players youre referring to that don’t KOS someone armed and moderately geared?

That's how it goes in DayZ sometimes! On another day, I may have been friendly, but not this time. However, the constant threat of danger is also what makes DayZ great 👍
