Gayle, I just have to tell you how much of an inspiration you are to me. I have seen you sewing so many really nice things, and I wanted to make some. My machine was not working right, and I kept ignoring it. Last night, I could not sleep, so I was determined to figure out what the problem was. After 2 hours of fooling around, I figured it out. Today, I have had so much fun making some of the fun things you have shown.

Love watching you work. Love how easy you make it look so that we aren’t afraid of trying new things too. Right now I am sanding the shiny off a cut up Pedigree dog food pouch to make 5 tags, 4 large and 4 small journal cards, 2 writing boards, and some small rectangles for cluster backs and altered paper clips. The shiny won’t let the glue adhere well. My sister is coming over Sat afternoon and wants me to teach her how to make journals. So for her Mothers Day gift from me we are going to take 2 or 3 hours (plus dinner) each weekend till she has completed her journal. These cut pieces will be for her journal.
Hi Gayle!! This was a really fun video to watch. I always learn something, and this was no exception. I did the same thing you did today. I was finishing a journal and came to a page that was upside down. I was devastated because it was a really nice special picture. Then I thought, "what would Gayle do?", so I just got some paper and made a pocket to cover the page and a ticket to put in the pocket. All fixed!!! Thank you, Gayle, for your continuing inspiration and teaching.
Wowza what a treasure full of DD scraps, so awesome, they can be cut up for glue books too. Way fun… 💕🌸💕

I am a little late catching up on your video's as I have been sick, but oh so fun to join you again. Omg...I absolutely love Daphne's Diary. I challenged myself to see how many I could make from only one magazine. (I had a duplicate) except for the journaling pages. I got 3 journals plus extras. I too have given them as gifts. When someone joins my widow group I give them a journal to write in. The hand made ones are way more fun to use than those plain store bought ones. Besides, Daphne's Diaries are so colorful and fun. Love yours so much.

Early onset of “senior moments”?? Well, I certainly understand! I have to go find some projects that I started and recall putting in some transparent storage boxes so I could see them easily ( ha ha ha) and Finish Them Up! I want the storage boxes emptied for storage of new stuff …. LOL

Again, you have inspired me. I had a major electrical issue in my craft space this week. Had to empty my room! Lots of forgotten friends and scraps found. Still reorganizing but it’s getting better. Such a mess to deal with. My husband threatened to call the hoarders show. 😂😂😂
My ex-husband says that all the time when we were together. If he stops by he swears the supplies are growing. 😂. Everyone happiness looks different i guess. Good luck getting your area back together.

Wanting to create an online presence to show & sell handmade journals & fabric items. I also am retired but also caregiver for family. The making of projects feeds my spirit and gives me a balanced view of life. Love pretty paper things and creating for family & friends.

I really enjoyed watching you work on this journal. No snow here, but it is overcast and spring is hiding behind the clouds. It was a very different Scrappy Saturday. So pretty and colourful; I love it. It is nice once and a while for me to stray from my typical “vintage” style journals and make a more modern, colourful one like this too. I was so excited to watch this video today. Last night I dreamed you were at my house visiting with me and my mom. I was so stressed because I didn’t know what to serve. It seemed so real. I woke up with a smile ready to hit my craft room this morning.

Nice using up scraps, just spent the morning going through a box of tags I made years ago. I ended up die cutting them into shapes, probably sell them as a bundle. Have a good weekend, take care! 💜

I sometimes buy the Daphne Paper Packet at Barnes and Noble in the magazine section. They are a bit pricey for me, but they are loaded with paper, cards, posters, etc.

A thought for your DD journal, could you give it away at your retreat as a prize? Our retreats always have giveaways, which are greatly appreciated by the recipients.🥰🇨🇦

I have been binge watching this week, fussy cutting, hoping for inspiration and getting ready to start on an altered book. You always deliver. While watching I remembered that I had a stash of coffee dyed stuff in a large zip bag under the love seat cushion in the living room. It's my favorite lazy way to flatten my goodies, papers, and floofy items. Taking advantage of that extra accumulated weight. Does anyone else do this?
