Solid advice here 👍 a couple points from my experience (which may be different as a UK seller): Etsy's customs labels/VAT info etc for international shipping is inadequate. Strongly recommended reading up on the correct way to fill the form & editing Etsy's or just writing your own. Also, Etsy charges fees on shipping too. This includes any offsite ads fees (which can leave you out of pocket by about 25%)
I’ve been selling on eBay for three years and am ready to start add Etsy into the mix with my vintage items. I hit subscribe as I want to learn more before starting!
Great video! You included a lot of useful, varied topics, so I didn't have to look up any more topics on YT. (I've been with Etsy since 2011, but I'm gonna be switching things around.) Thank you!
Thank you for this video! I would love to know how I structure the shipping if I was to sell fabric? I could put in the weight for one yard, but I don't believe Etsy recalculates shipping, for example, if someone purchases 10 yards...weight and size of package will be different! This is what is preventing me from listing. Any help is greatly appreciated!!😊
For calculated shipping, do I put the weight of my item in its packaging? Or the item itself? I’m selling stickers so the sticker itself is about .03 oz but in the envelope it’s .28 oz
I went strictly free shipping several years ago. I sell vintage items so each sell is unique unless I have multiples. I checked on Etsy for items similar to check what the other sellers are charging for shipping. My customers do realize the shipping is added to the price, but nobody has ever complained. I thought this tutorial was clear and concise. Thank you.

Thank you 😊. This information is very helpful. I’m a new seller on Etsy.
You're very welcome. If there's any other topics you want videos on let me know :-)

You said you'd post a link for wholesalers for shipping supplies but I don't see it...thanks!

Sorry, had to bow out @ the 3rd commercial. Come on dude.
How do you offer a free shipping custom option (i.e. over $50 or over $100) without the customer having to use a shipping promo code?
In the marketing tab you can set up a coupon code for free shipping based on a purchase amount or item count.
@@handmadeandbeyond okay I thought maybe there was a way where the customer didn't have to enter a coupon code.
@@mackenzie_brooke that is the way. It’s a coupon code but it’ll automatically apply when the criteria is met
