what if you wait for them to start eating and they doing the same and both of us die of starvation
Alex asking the real questions
one of them is the oldest after all...
@@Isabella1680 but what if both of them have the same birthday and are the same age
you both start eating at the same time or you just make the move to start eating first
What she meant was that you shouldn’t rush for the food when your meal served first, wait for other’s meals to be served, then tuck yourself in.
I had a friend who was pregnant, and during a doctor visit, her husband (English is not his first language) asked the doctor when he was going to "seduce" his wife. She thought it was hilarious, and was laughing too hard to explain that he meant "induce", as in... induce labor. The doctor was rather shocked, and completely unsure how to answer that question.
Nate Daniels 😂😂👍👍👍
Embarrassing. 😳
Nate Daniels omg😂
Lol😂
Nate Daniels lmaoo😂😂
korean twins getting lunch together:*stare at each other silently for eternity*
this sent me💀💀💀
Well, I mean, one has to be older, at least by a couple minutes, lol.
@@frankielucida1355 I am older than my brother by 1 minute. What do I do now 💀
@@frankielucida1355 i know you commented 2 years ago, but in korean age it depends on the year they were born *BUT idk* if the minutes count to say you're older as twins
"it's just gonna make you... drunk" wise words
I searched for this comment 😂
😹😹😹
My korean husband doesn't drink. When we hang out with his friends he is drinking soda while his friends are drinking soju or beer. They don't force him to drink.
Your pic is beautiful
Smart guy , drinking is 👎
@@a-terrible-fate532 yah I dont drink or smoke I've never done it all my friends drink and smoke and were all 15-16 but I will never drink or smoke ever
before you get married, did he drunk soju with the friends?
I’m glad to know I don’t drink at all
"condiment" for "ointment" is such a cute mistake and I can imagine myself making that mistake with a tired after a long work week - in my mother tongue! I like how well you are articulating some of these cultural practices that might be harder to interpret. Thank you!
I love the way she speaks, idk why, it's just relaxing
Me too. That's why I started watching her videos and that is why I subscribed to her channel.
I dont know why, but some korean people I have came across on UA-cam have such a relaxing voice, and I wanna watch more of their stuff
I'm in Korea now. I'm happy I haven't done any of these.
Awsome profile pic !
What was it like? I plan to go in a couple of years 😊
@@itsdaniii1432 same
ItsDaniii it’s Awsome! And great
I am happy for you

So I'm gonna turn down all of that
But water, orange juice, and soda
Is fine

I just casually read that in Hobi’s voice I can’t 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
So glad I'm not the only army here
@Dami Fly I did also
Great video! Funny and interesting.
I went to South Korea for a summer school program this summer and now I'm interested in Korean culture because I really liked the country. So after that I randomly discovered your channel on UA-cam and it's really good!
Hi from France!
That joining hand gesture is INDIAN
We indians join hands together and bring it close to heart to show respect and say 'NAMASTE'
Same in sri lanka
Hey at least you didn’t say condom ... 😂
😂
Lol😂
Lol
Yeah
That joining hand gesture is from India.....to say 'namaste' or 'pranam' or ' vannakam' that is 'hello' in english or 'anneyonghaseyo' in korean
2 Things I love about this video: 1) Rachel's dimples 😍😭😭😭😭 2)Guys the green penguin is an Easter egg, she wants to test our attention!😂
Makes sense, Kim has the hook ups, your videos are the best i recommend them to all my peeps heading to Korea.
I recently found your UA-cam account and I'm in love, you're absolutely adorable and extreamly helpful! I hope I can put some of your tips to good use when I visit Korea next year!
:) most of these are common here in the netherlands to! Though there was one very funny thing. In our culture, we always wait for the guest to start eating, regardless of age. xD so we laughed a lot when my girlfriend came here and we ate with my parents. She was waiting for them to start as they are older and they were waiting for here to start as she was our guest.... xD :) My girlfriend did teach me other things i should be careful about, but lucky here friends were all okay with just calling there first name. :) Also getting each other drinks and so is normal. :) ( I am from the netherlands xD in case someone is curious.
This is so interesting! :D Thank you for sharing! Hope I get to visit Netherlands one day :)
:D hehe glad to hear you liked the story. For us it is normal to prepare the drinks and so to if the other arranges chopsticks and so. :) However refiling drinks without asking is strange here. We will always ask, it is same like not finishing your plate or drink is seen as rude.. :P so in korea i had the opposite as mentioned here. Here finishing drink is polite, and they kept refilling it xD.
If you ever visit the netherlands tell me, I would love to show you around together with me girlfriend. ( If she already moved then). From the other side if i go to korea next year , i would love to go to one of the places you mentioned in the last video! :) It would be fun if you joined to, together with my girlfriend! :) If you are willing to, just give a scream!
Same in northeast India where the whole region is filled with people other Asian face
Hey! I’m from Holland too ^^
HOLLANNDDDD
Don't feel bad about that Condiment story, Rachel ;)
I'm working in Japan and was sending something in the mail. The staff was showing me options and I wanted to save money so I said "Which one's weaker?" The guy was politely confused for a bit before I remembered what the word for cheaper was. :P
You are a truly good person. It’s good to know there are people out there like you
So happy I found your channel! Pretty good videos, can’t wait to watch more. Keep it up!!
6:00 I grew up in The South in the US (Georgia). I was raised with the custom of waiting to eat until your host begins and usually until those who are older than you begin also. So this feels very normal to me! Good to know since some cultures wait for their guests to eat first.
I feel like you give us advice from your heart. I'm truly thankful for your videos .. it's such a help for me.
Very nicely done and thanks for the tips. Nice room too. Looking forward to your next video. You rock 😎🤙🏻
Wow I love you. Your the most positive person I have found who makes videos like this & makes me really want to peruse my dream to travel to Korea!
I don't drink so I'd have to decline them offering me alcohol in general. Sorry.
You’re so likeable!! I just randomly stumbled upon your video and I’m so glad I did! I’m super interested in learning about Korean culture and such. I’ll be meeting my boyfriend’s parents in the next year or two and the body language is definitely one of the most stressful aspects! Thank you so much for your videos, you’ve got a new subscriber :)
Rachel, Don't be alarmed! I think your wall map has "Atlantic Ocean" written where the Southern Ocean should be located.
Great video by the way.
Milo Yossarian she literally replied to a comment 10 months ago about this
It is just asian centered.
I have never thought to put a candle in a lantern like that. Thats such a cool and practical idea!
I'm so glad you mentioned the buddhism gesture when trying to show respect in a foreign country..its so cringing when people do that and its not even your culture. It comes off as disrespectful actually since they are not taking the time to learn your culture or ask about it before assuming that every culture has the same ways.
THIS GIVES ME SO MUCH ADVICE..
*adds to playlist *
keep up the good work ! this video will help me when i visit Korea in the future ;)
I love your accent Rachel! I have always enjoyed hearing people from East Asia speak English with their accent. It's very pleasing, almost like ASMR. Thank you for your lovely voice!
Ummm
Loved the video as always.
You videos are both educational and strangely soothing :)
I'm so happy to discovered your channel. hope I can watch all of your videos. God bless you more!
I honestly admire how understanding you are
Love your videos ! Thanks you so much 💕
You have a very calming voice, it's nice to listen to.
Your communication skills are really amazing mam!
Your voice is gentle but still so genuine
This was really useful thank you!!
This is very informative! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Very informative and fun.
Thank you Rachel for all the tips, we'll go to Korea this Spring... This will helps alot💜💜💜😊
Good Job Rachel! Learned a Lot! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for that intresting Video!
The drink thing sounds like when I was trying to explain to my foreign friend about coffee and my grandmother. I told him to except the coffee but don’t drink it if he didn’t want it. He kept drinking it and then eventually started pouring it into my cup, and my grandma kept filling his cup because it was low. I told them just except it and don’t drink it. It was a little funny because he was getting frustrated but didn’t want to say anything to my very elderly grandmother. My grandmother scolded me later because I let his cup get empty too many times and didn’t fill it. lol
Great video!😄💙
girl, thank you so much for sharing all these information about Korea and Korean people. i feel educated!
I love your videos ❤️🥰 they are really helpful especially to me since I want to learn more about Korean culture🤗

My family and I might move to Korea! Please pray that we can go!!!! I am watching this video so I can be a bit more prepared if we go! This was supperrrrrr helpful!-3-
Thank you for this!
Love you hoodie🥰
Hey Rachel, love your video and good advice. I also like your background music, makes me feel relax to enjoy watching you. I had been to Korea 4 times and am planning to go again in May for 3 to 4 weeks. Peace!
hahahaa!! I think I intend to do something like that. It's strange for me that I tried fried chicken once in Busan. It was soooooo good!!
Its an interesting map behind u. What planet is it?
LOL That's what I was thinking the whole video :D
it's just an east asian centered map of the world...
believe it or not not every country has their maps centered around the country you live in^^
and yes the one "Atlantic ocean" is a little out of place..
In many countries, Korea included, their country are placed at the center of the map so it might look at little different depending on the perspective.
ChromeC no the Atlantic Ocean is where it needs to be.
Hi Rachel. Thanks for the tips :)
I love your page!! Hope you're staying safe!!!
Thank you unnie for your helpful videos it really helped to understand korean culture 😇😊
Good tips. Thanks
thank you for the advice
Hi Rachel! You've got a new subscriber today, me! I am, right now, saving money and doing research. I don't know why, but Korea is calling to me. I am going. Do not doubt this. When, I'm not sure. But this video was sooo super helpful. And You are so cute and funny and sweet! Thank you! 💜💙

Hello Rachel I love your video and have a nice day

Ok I’m obsessed with your humor😂❤️ also you’re sooo helpful
I love your videos! Also, that warmer is super cute, where did you find it?
The map on the wall that's pretty cool hehe
It would be very appreciated to continue this understanding of us foreigners making mistakes in Korea. And very much appreciated if you guys continue to refrain from immaturely losing temper and being pissed off.
Thanks for this video 👍 and by the way I love your English accent 😊
I add you in my contact to learn Korean faster, well it's only since August that I learn it soooo... 😅 But I'm really really passionate about the language and it's manners
OMG you are so charismatic, I really liked you, new subscriber! ^^ I also want to thank you for this video, I feel that it will help me a lot
I’m 14 so I don’t think I’m going to go to Korea any time soon but for when I do I’m just preparing my self for when I meet bts ( if I meet bts )
A nice one... I'll keep it in my mind
I love her expressions.. ABSOLUTE LOVE.
I like her.
the way u talk n ur reaction its killing me lit 🔥 . I wish u alwys make about video on korean culture n lifestyle .
I love you!!! Watching from Tennesse, USA!
The drinks! I went to a restaurant in NYC and was shocked at how often they came and topped off my water. It was actually very wonderful.
In India.. We too wait after serving of waiters and let the other person start..or suggest them to start..atleast till their first bite..If he is guest or elder than us.. It is a culture here too
Pretty good video!
I enjoyed the fact that the video was kinda like chatting with the audience
Thanks! I'm moving to Korea soon so this should be helpful.
did you move to korea? how is it there?
@@ssffiuu1014 I honestly loved my time there. One of the best personal decisions I ever made.
@@WumboCorp glad to hear!!
I just found your channel, love it and you
Thank you so much. I’m visiting in March and this helped me ❤️
PS- How are the bills shared in restaurants? Or when you accept the drinks how do you pay for their drink in return?
I come to watch you first time!! This video is helpful and benefit to learn about korean culture and I decied to subsrcibe your channel Thanks!!
I love this video! I have an intolerance to alcohol which means if I have even one sip I'll immediately get sick. I still take the shot glass but I usually end up just drinking sprite or coca cola. There's been no problems so far!
I really love your videos.....firstly I really liked you and secondly I really wanna visit korea in future.....im very sure you helped me a lot to know more about Korean culture..... thank you so much.....also u are really cute unnie❤️
Thanks your amazing 👏
You are so adorable. Dry sense of humor. So funny
I’m very much appreciated and thankful that you put this to our attention, you guys should be respectful of people like me who refuses to drink alcohol. Because alcohol is one of the most common issues today that separates families and ruins bridges between people. I personally turned on alcohol because it’s against my rule of staying fit and staying happy with my physique. But on the other hand my grandfather and mother had a bad reputation of losing their temper and taking anger out on people while obsessing over alcohol.
It's so hard trying to pitch in when everyone is setting up the table. I do pour the water and then I useally stand there looking awkward hahaha because I dont know what to do next!
I AM OBSESSED WITH KOREA AND THE LANGUAGE AND THE CULTURE JSDJJSDJ
