Still my favourite boss. The tragedy of the song still resonates to this day. You can tell how tired he his. How long it has been. His physical skills long past his prime. But he goes forward. Even in his bones he feels as though it is futile, he goes forward. I was even thinking tonight sekiro was my favourite game. The night I beat Gehrman will forever be in my memory. It’s like a foe, that you liked long ago, made you feel deep love and connection that transcends words
its the first boss in that cruel mistress of a game where i wasnt even upset i died, i said thank you. The music is absolutely fucking golden man. 😢
My first time beating bloodborne was transcendent. When I reached Gehrman, felt the game had so thoroughly prepared me for that fight that it only took me one try not that its super hard. Assumed my place among the great ones naturally.
I decided to make a full bloodtinge build. So I spent most of the game shooting shit to death, but Gherman was the worst offender.
Was so hype when he got out the seat, then he played pincushion simulator for the next two minutes as he slow walked into every single bullet. Only doing 1 move over and over (The jump slash). Once I killed him I was like "Well that was severely underwhelming lol."
Yeah, I like the detail that he's unable to actually run, he slowly limps around. His speed is carried by rolling, old hunter bone-kind teleporting and whatever that Burial Blade is doing making him whoosh around and fly in the air.
It's as though it's something he has to do as ordained by the Moon Presence. He is probably in pain the whole time he fights, I'm imagining, but carried forward with some semblance of the skillset he was once known for.
The mod scene for Sekiro is absolutely one of the best in gaming. Maybe if Miyazaki saw this, it could reignite his passion for Sekiro once again. We could get Sekiro: Journey to the West.
A sekiro sequel would be fucking insane
As much as I love Sekiro, I feel Bloodborne is the one that needs a sequel first.
Then again, Bloodborne at least had DLC, but still.

@@Iceman-1919 No, Sekiro's gameplay has sooooo much potential that it needs a sequel or at least a spiritual successor. Bloodborne doesn't change that much from a Souls game gameplay wise.

first time I see Ongbal panic Deflect, must be a good fight...
I mean if it’s anything like bloodborn then there isn’t a difference in tell between the slower and faster first hit of that attack so it actually wasn’t even a panic deflect. You just have to assume he’s doing the faster version and if he isn’t then you just press again for the delayed version. In bloodborn you’d out space the first hit instead.
If modders can so perfectly import Gherman into Sekiro then I am salivating to see the Godskin Apostle. I always thought his moves would fit _Perfectly_ into the Sekiro parry combat

why does the combat look smoother than the fight in Bloodborne itself 😂? Sekiro combat system is truly revolutionary.

@@ZeroFanfare "Flow" is a vague term that can mean anything. Flow in this case could refer to the pace of attacks of both parties, which, in Bloodborne's dodging system, would indeed be inferior due to the fact that there is only one way to react to every single attack, and with opportunities to exploit vulnerability, only one method of attack.
Either you're playing dumb, or you really just don't get this. Either way, it's silly.
@@porkwhisperer3050 I wouldn't entirely argue Gehrman's fight was all that mechanically interesting. Using an anecdote, I beat him first try when I fought him for the first time, and it only took about two minutes or so I imagine. It was a typical boss fight of dodging attacks and attacking back when the enemy is vulnerable.
Sekiro was one of fromsoftware's best combat but I think armored core 6 is much better
I was waiting for it so much, the hunters finally arrived in medieval fantasy Japan to fight Sekiro or rather the goat ONGBAL a little disgusted for Gherman because I am team hunter haha.. it was just magnificent and incredible a pleasure to watch GG.
Small details : 0:20 & 1:59 Gherman dodges at first / Gherman starts to get weak and parries while tense 😭

이렇게까지 모드가 많이 나온다는게 세키로란 게임이 얼마나 완성도가 높고 사람들이 이러한걸 바라는지 알 수 있는 지표같아요. 언젠가 프롬이 세키로 2 나 혹은 그에 준하는 게임을 또다시 내주면 좋겠네요.

Was pretty easy tbh after Sekiro. Just had to get perfect guard timings down by holding block rather then tapping then I was flying through with a dex build.
But thoroughly enjoyed every area and boss fight. Was amazed quite frankly how good the combat was cosidering it was Neowiz not Fromsoft 👌

You know, after all...The flow of time itself is convoluted.
For everyone saying that Ongbal flinched a deflect, you are just plain wrong. The charged up Scythe Spin has the exact same startup animation and no tell for whether he will do the quick one or the slow one.
Bloodborne has a few of these true 50/50 attacks which need an "Option Select".

As Sekiro is not a mute protagonist like in Bloodborne I like to think that he rejected Gehrman's offer of mercy with a wise and thoughtful sentence.

@@buckyhurdle4776 when it comes to single Boss fights, I'm almost sure you are right. Ongbal did some VERY crazy stuff like 7 "Seven Spears of Ashina" where he did a few little mistakes. But who wouldn't commit them in such battle. :D

Bloodborne, one of my favorite ps4 games..Imo. its the best FromSoft game. From the Era of the game. to the story. then music. the enemies. the weapons and armor.. it was a perfection To Me.
