You end the night, free gehrman, kill the moon presence, and become a great one.
He still slaughtered Kos. He's the entire reason why Hunters can't die peacefully. He caused Maria to stay back, giving up as a hunter. I'm her sadness she tried to kill herself. I'm supposed to feel bad for him? It's his own fault.

He took part because he was a part of the hunters and he didn't know what terrible things would happen. He is also not responsible for the way that it affected others like Maria. That's madness to argue that. In the end, Gehrman was a well-intentioned man who did what he thought was best to help his people and city. Then, when the world abandoned him and he lost all he loved, he, in his grieving madness, tried to contact the gods for help, but even this betrayed him He is a man broken both by time and circumstance, whose actions were driven by his desire to help the world around him.
@@raimarulightning tbh i don't think the church ordered the slaughtering of kos either. they had only found about the old blood by then and there was no church. it was the time when all functioned as one they were byrgenwerth scholars exploring pthumerian labyrinth, the place called fishing hamlet used to be a **whaling town**, look at the weapons those people have. they might have noticed kos in the sea sometime and thought it was a monster so they sent fleet of ships to kill it. they did manage to slaughter it but they lost many ships and people, the body of kos came to the shore a while later and the parasites from her infected the hamlet people they went crazy, that's when byrgenwerth heard about them and sent maria and gehrman ( two scholars ) to investigate. what gehrman did bad was that he and maria killed those infected villagers and ravaged the town, they tore apart skulls of the people looking for eyes inside, thinking that these people could be close to great ones but it was all just mass murder, and when they found the body of kos they pulled out her unborn child and brought him back to byrgenwerth and THAT IS WHERE THEY PERFORMED THE BIGGEST MISTAKE , they dissected the child ( orphan of kos ) and master willem willingly participated along with laurence too, they took his umbilical cord and left him to die, the Schism where Laurence separated from Willem is when the church was found. Laurence pursued Old Blood, Willem pursued insights. everyone in bloodborne's world doesn't really die, once orphan was dissected and dead, his soul remained and cursed Willem and all his followers and so he made nightmare realms of the fishing hamlet and other locations. that is why when you slay him in dlc, it says nightmare slain.
At the same time, he also thought Freida, F. Ariandel and the painter were all servants of Gael. By the end of the Ringed City, he'd figured Gael was the big bad, not a tragic character.
If Christopher do not use wiki then huge gj for him to active a special last boss. Nice. It's hard to learn about Bloodborne just from the game. It's harder than in Dark Souls. Still it's not easy in both titles.

Xigbar Master Of Masters Gehrman kicks your characters ass so goddamn hard *YOU* feel it. Seriously. By reputation alone Gehrman made every other workshop hunter look like children playing with toys. The only reason the player character lasted longer then 30 seconds was because Gehrman was almost crippled by age and old injuries.
Imagine if you had only once chance to fight him in every play through. Think about it:.if he kills you you're out of the dream. It would make the fight cost more should you lose.
True, but to truly die in the bloodborne world, you have to accept your death. That's why when you submit you wake up, and if he kills you. Well you come back to the nightmare. You're refusing to die and that's why you keep coming back.

I'm kinda glad that most of them seemed to miss the importance of the decision and what it meant, because when I first stumbled upon it I was pretty naïve as well. One of the most interesting things about this game is how easy it is to miss the main narrative and lore if you're not paying attention. Only after reading the lore and comprehending the universe do you realize how big of a choice it is here to submit your life or refuse. I'd like to see another video of reactions when people actually realize what's at stake.
Easily the best boss I've ever fought in any video game. He has a fair moveset, but is still reasonably difficult. He does what a final boss of any game should do. He tests your ability and knowledge on the mechanics of the game. Players who have adapted well to the mechanics of bloodborne shouldn't struggle that much with him. For those who haven't, he forces you to (I fucking hate this term but I guess it's appropriate here) "git gud" and will kick your ass until you do. For those few in the comments complaining about how parrying trivializes this fight, which to be fair, it kinda does. The game isn't forcing you to parry him. If you don't like it, don't do it, simple as. Don't then moan about the peoole in this video not parrying him to death just because they chose not to exploit a mechanic that is notorious for making bosses a joke. Parrying is there for the people who want to use it, you aren't being forced to do so. Also, his soundtrack is fucking orgasmic and the arena you fight him in is amazing!
Bro my first time through i got him down to where i thought he was dead but apparently their was a tiny sliver of health on his bar and wham he smacks me in the face with his sychthe and i had to fight him 7 more times before i could beat him.

Gherman and Lady Maria gotta be one of my favorite bosses from Bloodborne. Hunter vs Hunter, memorable OST and overall very fun fight. Not too challenging but not too easy either. Perfectly balanced
This was awesome becahse, yes this is in the top 5 most epic moments in all video games, but also as someone who spent hours throwing themselves at Gherman over and over, kinda disheartening to see others beat it with relatively little trouble

For me, it was the other way around. Got wrecked a thousand times by Orphan but Gehrman was a joke to me.

Gherman and Lady Maria gotta be one of my favorite bosses from Bloodborne. Hunter vs Hunter, memorable OST and overall very fun fight. Not too challenging but not too easy either. Perfectly balanced

This fight singlehandedly taught me how to parry well. Before this fight, I was complete ass at parrying.

Gehrman is only difficult because he has a better gaming chair.

This was awesome becahse, yes this is in the top 5 most epic moments in all video games, but also as someone who spent hours throwing themselves at Gherman over and over, kinda disheartening to see others beat it with relatively little trouble

Yeah when people complain that DS3 final bosses are hard I just laugh and tell them to try fighting gerhman on ng+7.
