Inspired by the villain from the 1964 movie Fantomas, Alessandro Gualtieri (the nose) has created an elusive, mysterious new scent: Fántomas!
I dig the mystery of the missing notes, but the real inconceivable mystery is how you haven't blown up all over youtube yet! You're the best fragrance reviewer I've seen in a long time.
Eva I freaking love your reviews! So much fun but so informative. Never a dull moment watching you!
😊 That's super sweet and great to hear, thank you 🙏
Thanks for the review and the background inspiration for this scent. How fun does this all sound. The scent of a crime scene. Here we come.
great review! You stole the words right out of my brain! 😁
Fragrance Bros. Liessss stop stealing all my ideas and jokes out of MY brain you big stealer.
Top notes milk and metal , Heart notes of sweat & a Base notes of blood 🩸 sounds like a winner 👍
I love his fragrance called cuir celeste. Happy to see this fragrance house getting getting some love
Ha haven't tried that one, will check it out. Thanks for stopping by Benjamin 😊
Bloody good review!
Great review!!! I almost blind bought this after seeing this review, but I decided to get Black Afgano last night (10/05) since I’ve wanted it for a few years and chose Fantomas as my sample. By the way you are gorgeous. ❤️💯👍🏽
Dammit I'm mad I missed this. But thorough and informative as per usual. ✌️♥️
Thank you Jonathan 🙏😊
Thanks for your time Eva. Great review 👌 I'm a bit iffy when it comes to notes being listed. I mean, I like having a fair idea of what I'm getting into. Some notes I do tend to stay away from. Due to bad scent memories. And others I absolutely love. It wouldn't matter so much if I had somewhere local I could test anything and everything but I'm a long ways from any perfume stores. 🤷♂️
This will be a very strange comment if I'm mistaken, but are you the person I met at random, perfume shopping at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, who told me to search for their Fantomas review?
Great review regardless.
If you are one of the 2 South African guys I bothered after recognising your accent then yes, that was me 😊
@@FragranceTestTube Haha, yes I am. But it was no bother. It's rare meeting a fellow fragrance nerd out in the wild.
Nice channel. I always enjoy listening to new fragrance opinions.
New Subbie! Came here from Insta!
I got excellent performance out of this, well over 12 hours with moderate projection. Its not loud but you will get noticed. Sprayed some on a card and it was enough to scent my room.
Oh that's good to hear. I've found most Nasomattos to have great performance, and this one's isn't bad either, just compared to others I've tried from them it is weaker on me. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing 😊I must say my skin is weird sometimes. I get great performance from Lost Cherry for example whilst most don't. 🤷♀️
Sounds interesting for sure. Thanks for the thorough review and entertaining video Eva. As far as notes I guess I like to have them listed but they can be misleading so always prefer to sample myself. Hope all is well. Take care Eva.

Edit: Unrelated but have u had a chance to try the new Gallivant Bukhara? Would love to hear ur thoughts on it. Cheers.
Thanks Collin I appreciate it. 😊 I haven't had the chance to try Bukhara, but I will as soon as I can.
Eva, you look well but who's that girl with the curly hair?
Silly goose 😆

Fantomas is Italian for Ghost Butt :S
Could someone please confirm or deny this bold, fascinating claim? Thanks 😝
@@FragranceTestTube - it’s a lame joke. “Ghost Bum” would translate in Italian to “Culo Fantasma”. Just found your channel, subbing right now! Thanks for the review! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦇👻🎃☠️😈
I like Black Afghano,. This doesn't sound like something I would like. Maybe he is playing off what's popular with those newer metallic like fragrances like Sauvage, Luna Rossa carbon, etc.
Hey Eva!!!!!
The mystery is interesting, but I need to know what's going on in a fragrance before I commit my coin or interest.
The Nassomatto/Orto Parisi branding far outshines the actual smell in my opinion. Highly concentrated aroma chemicals for a steep price imo. Nowonder he does not list ingredients :)
Like Black Afgano.......but, I know i need to try Baroanda.
Nice take. I kinda like connections between perfumes and films/characters/actors too. Perhaps films don’t have as many characters concerned with grooming as they used to.
I always thought note breakdowns... what else would sales assistants regurgitate to me? I don’t need or expect them to be true, but just a guiding light.
I can understand that there are still shops with passionate people who have spent time with what they’re selling, so they can do more than list notes, but I can’t afford to shop like that... yet
Edit: the copper eye was cool too
Thanks Kalum 😊 Note breakdowns/ lists are usually a good guiding light indeed, but on the other hand they can also misguide sometimes. I also avoid fragrances with certain notes, yet still get pleasantly surprised on occasion when someone let's me sniff something gorgeous that I would never have thought I'd like based on listed notes.
There's an incredible amount of political allusion and metaphor in that movie. But an interesting description of the scent Eva. I had to keep myself from gagging. 🤣 In between sips of my warm milk in my workshop of course. I suppose we should count ourselves lucky that it's a Fantomas and not a real one.
Political allusion in "Searching for Blamage" you mean? I must have missed that. Please do elaborate, now I'm curious. Happy to hear I almost made you gag btw 😝
@@FragranceTestTube In the movie Fantomas from 1964! Involving the media, police, crime and controlling from the shadows. Playing institutions against each other while laughing from above. Remember that crane scene? Long before Mission Impossible, Fantomas was already changing faces and jumping on trains. 😂
New Sub.Nice video
Yay, thanks so much. I've been subbed to you for ages btw 😊
Personally I like a mix of both, having and not having the notes that is.
On one had it helps when buying a fragrance that isnt easily accessible so if you take a chance you're more likely to know if it will work for you in advance or not.
On the other hand I love not having notes too , because it stops me from just going note hunting and allows me to just smell the perfume in its entirety.
Thanks for dropping by Robert 😊
blood has iron in it, causing the metal taste and smell
Exactly.
What is with Nasomatto and extrat de parfum and 3-5 hours lasting power now adays it is ridiculous. I bought a bottle of Duro that lasted max 4 hours sold it right away. They had good logevity in the bigining but after refurmulation very very very bad performance will never buy a bottle from Nasomatto anymore shity lasting power 30 ml for very high price No thank you. But thank you for the review love your videos 🤗
I've found most to have great performance, and this one's isn't bad either, just compared to others I've tried from them it is weaker. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing 😊
Fragrance Test Tube they used to have good performance but then they refurmolated the fragrances and now the performance is not good anymore it is very bad specialey for en extrat de parfum these are a joke .
@@Namo81 My bottle of duro is beast mode. Can you refer me the link to show that it has been refomulated? Thanks
