Apollo 18: The Moon Missions Playthru - Part 4: Commander Test, Training and Briefing

In commemoration of 50 years since the first moon landing, I'm playing AIM Software's Apollo 18. This playthrough aims to be the most complete this game has seen yet, including the Training Disk, the tests, simulations, and the mission itself.
This fourth part details the last written test and simulation. And these are the hardest of the lot! The landing sim took me no less than 16 attempts to pass. Landing near the target site is not enough - you have to be right on the mark! In the end I had to use Cpukiller to slow the VM down - not perfect, but it was the only one I could get working. And it was a trial, so I had to make a keyboard shortcut to start it up during the mission (you'll see later).
After the final sim, you're given an FMV briefing on Apollo 18. Apparently an alien civilisation has left a message on Apollo 17's hardware. The Department of Defence wants you to fetch it for them. Should be simple enough...
