This video was the seed that started my career desire to fish saltwater & saltwater gamefish on a fly. Awesome to see it again. 18 yrs later still love Tarpon fishing & the info in this video never gets old.thanks for uploading. Hope you can do more of your videos.

I️ called the 800 number at the end of the video for a lead on a great guide. Just some folks trying to sell car insurance :( Ha! My guide shared with me before heading out to chase tarpon in the morning, definitely a fun and informative video! Thanks for releasing on UA-cam for all to see SA!!

Wonderful! Love the straightforward exchange of knowledge. The interface with the guide is such an overlooked component these days. One for the archives.

This is utterly worth watching. I have his Tarpon reel. What’s SA’s best WF sink tip fly line 12 weight?

Luv watching this, one question I have is does the color of the fly line spook Tarpon , can they see it you can have a 9’ leader and tippet but does the colored fly line spook them🤔

There is a lot of debate over fly line color and spooking Tarpon! Subtle colors are preferred by most anglers and guides.

@@ScientificAnglers, I’ve noticed that a lot of fly lines are bright colors , orange , bright powder blue , high visibility green , or yellow , it doesn’t make sense to me that manufacturers make these colors when the whole idea is to present a natural looking bait and camouflage the connecting line to it , a pale green , or clear if can be made seem a more sensible choice, my other question is why are fly lines so 👈🏻 expensive 😳💸💸☹️

He definitely didn't help the fishery. Was by most accounts a dick in general.
