So yep.. This night of stealth camping in my Ducato campervan is the end of an era. I have spent 2 winters in vans with no heating. But not any more! This is the last night in the cold.
It's a fairly basic episode where I stealth camp outside a burger restaurant, and cook myself some snacks in the air fryer. Hope you enjoy it!

What you’re calling “ flour mites “ are Weevils . Weevils live in / on grains including wheat . When wheat gets ground to flour the eggs are so small they get into the flour where they remain dormant until conditions are right for them to hatch , which is usually around room / kitchen temperature. The way to stop this is either to store your flour with oxygen absorbers in an air tight container , or , freeze your flour for 3 days , take it out of the freezer for one day , then re freeze it for 3 days ( it’s to do with the life cycle of the eggs ) . Weevils are in most , if not all flour , so don’t feel they’re targeting you personally ( although I have heard Weevils are issued with a photo of you as they enter the flour mill so as they know who to take out the demise of their homes by the combine harvester on )

Flour mites are found in grain and other dry foodstuffs. They are the most prevalent mite in our grub. All over the shop, up in yo dog food and cereals. They love that flour tho, so once they get into the white powdery heaven they can really multiply even quicker.

I wondered about getting a sandwich toaster now that I don’t have gas for the ridge monkey! I always find they’re annoying to clean though. But they’re amazing!

Great video again, cant wait to see how you heat your van. I use a chinese diesel heater which is a quick way of heating but too noisy to sleep with it running thanks to the clacking of the fuel pump and not at all stealthy. Each time I drive past that Burger King I look across to the car park to see if Pidgeon is nesting there!

Wouldn’t it be better with butter, then marmite and last of all the cheese. If you would like some colour some Red Leicester would do the trick.
I only use butter if there’s no cheese involved. I like Red Leicester but not for melting. Double Gloucester could be good though!

Funny you should say that. I’ve been having that all my life! People have always said it’s weird that I do it. But then they brought out a peanut butter and marmite pre mixed tub!

Put your flour in the freezer for a few day when you first purchase it to kill the flour mites and any eggs that may be in there unhatched.

We have just come back from 4 days in Blackpool we have the Delta 2 & a EB & the river 2 max for charging our phones tablet her smart watch omg now back home put the Delta 2 with the Eb on charge we have tapo smart plugs all round the house & yes only cost 69p to charger the Delta 2 with the EB wow
Yeah they’re such amazing things to have in the van! Even when my full electrics system is up and running I’m always going to be taking the delta 2 with me

If you’re sitting in the drivers seat you can see it’s not mate. It’s in the same position as a rear view mirror would be (but slightly left) and doesn’t obstruct the road at all
you know those air flow things that are on van roofs can one bemade into a generator ?

I wish! Haha. But nah all my life I’ve never checked fuel consumption. The way I see it, it’s something that has to be paid for either way. So thinking about the money disappearing isn’t ideal.
@@Adz yes I agree but i have had a lot of classics in my time so tend to keep an eye so I know when it needs a tune up. Some have been gallons per mile so it can get pricey 😄

It’s a great power station. There are some smaller ones they do but with the current price of this one (especially with my discount) I think it’s worth going for. It’s not let me down yet! And far more portable than the delta range if you’re not needing that higher power

Hi Adz the van is looking fantastic love the look question are you planning on insulating the under slung tank and piping as if it freezes you wont be able to use the sink or anything as water will back flow into the van. I mention this as you are going to the Arctic circle and is very cold up there very cold. Stay safe buddy love your filming style michale notts 🫶👍
I mentioned that in the video mate. The device I made can be left open so no need for insulation. And I don’t think it’d help if it gets to minus 40 anyway unless it was heated. So yeah that’s why I made the device
Good idea but I would still insulate the drain pipe as even if you leave it open at -6-10 it will freeze any water flowing out and remember the water is not always flowing so at night it will freeze up causing you massive problems. I would insulate the under tank and the drain pipes. Or I see trouble ahead. There is a song in there some where. 🤣🤣 better safe than sorry

I have the iPhone 12 Pro. I occasionally use it for extra clips for my videos but it’s a hassle to get the footage onto my laptop. I use it to take the thumbnail pics usually though

Not sure what the ceiling is classed as. I’ve been calling it suede but no idea what it’s actually called. Doors are stretch carpet

Hey dude. Any chance you could try running a 500w fan heater off the most suitable ecoflow. I’ve got no heating in my van and currently have to lug a petrol generator around with me, which isn’t ideal ✊
I’ve done that before.. It was a tiny bit effective in a very tiny well insulated van. In my current van I wouldn’t waste the electricity on it. It would run for about 1hr 45 on the biggest of the 2 power stations I had in this video, and would barely change the temperature. My heated blanket is by far the best thing I’ve had to keep warm. Although a diesel heater or similar is the best option if that’s a possibility

I use the quilted double mattress protector from silentnight. So it’s probably the most power hungry I’ve they do. Make sure you get a proper 240v one from a trusted company. And make sure it has an overnight setting, too many dangerous 12v ones around!
