- In this van life episode I have a lot to cover. I disappeared from UA-cam for a few weeks and this is the reason why... Wait til you see just how much progression there's been with the van build though!
One of the main new upgrades is my incredible Truma D4E. It's a combi boiler, so not only does it heat the camper van up, but it also gives me hot water! '12v planet' is one of the places you can buy these units now so I highly recommend checking them out.
I've been so busy turning this Ducato panel van into an adventure campervan, and it's now about 95% finished! But as always I didn't just want to make an update video without also going on a van life adventure, so I headed down to the UK's only official desert, to spend the night there.
I hope you enjoy the video. It actually felt strange filming again after not creating any content for a while. But it was definitely a fun evening that was much needed!

Dungeness was a major Military area from 1943-1945/6. It was the origin of PLUTO- Pipe Line Under The Ocean (sea!) and supplied fuel to the Allied forces liberating Europe. It also had various observation and listening points for German aircraft. That piece of iron found there looks like it might have been part of a stationary boiler for some infrastructure there, but certainly not from the miniature railway.
It's an interesting beach; until quite recently old Military shells (bombs) were regularly washed up there. I found a couple in the mid 1980s.
Adz!!! I'm telling you now!!!! I have seen some impressive pigeons in my time! AND I have seen gazillions of camper layouts and I have got to say your pigeon is the ultimate perfection of them all!!! Proper stealthy but impressive, cosey but secure.. Childs fort/den stroke classy bachelor pad.. I could go on! But well done you!! It's amazing! Can't wait for your travels ahead! ❤

Hi mate, I just wanted to test it properly before recommending it to anyone because I’d hate people to buy something through a link I’ve posted when it may turn out to be a bad product. I’ve only just connected all the different parts like the wifi and a hard drive, so over the next few days I’ll be testing it properly and I’ll talk about it more in my next video and put a link if I recommend it

I had them facing down to heat the floors and worried they’d get too hot. So I asked a few van builders opinions and so far everyone said it’d be fine. So I’m not sure what to do haha. And thank you!

I couldn't sleep in 26 degrees. I've camped out in my micro camper minus 6 outside and about +8°c inside. With no diesel heater... cold but bearable. Loving the videos mate keep up the good work
Little tip for ya, get a single bed size heated blanket from silent night put it on the floor of your van put a rug on top and you have heated floor on the cheap! 😁🤘
That’s a good idea actually! Although you can get 12v heated floors for pretty cheap. I actually bought one a couple weeks ago but returned it because I don’t think it’s worth the power consumption
@@Adz yeah 12v ones are ok to put on your lap like a granny 😆 I've got both! 😁👍 You can run 240 from a power bank for those cold mornings, nothing worse than cold feet! 🤘

Have you been briefed about the the automatic toll roads in Norway and the importance of getting yourself an acct and tag for the van before you go???
It’s also a great idea to link your tag to a ferry pass. Saved us loads and loads of money having a pre registered tag and pre paid ferry travel.
If you want to know more try a company like Flytpass (roads) and ferryjepass (ferries)
We went as far as the Lofoten islands and Senja in 2022 and loved every mile of the dramatic journey.
PS take loads and load of food and drink with you as Norway is eye wateringly expensive

Interesting. On a clear day I can see the power station from where I am. Didn’t know Dungenness was considered a desert, but have to say that kind of describes it.

Dungeness is on the Romney Marsh, which is the ‘desert’. 😊

Thanks mate! I originally had vinyl but it split so I replaced it with some type of safety floor. Not sure exactly what it is because it was an off cut from someone. But similar to Altro I think
