The body sculpting is EVERYTHING. Overall, the doll herself is so precious: hair, face, body, tail, everything. The outfit is fine, I’m so very indifferent to it but she herself is a perfect 10/10 doll. I can’t wait to be able to get mine, i haven’t been able to get her anywhere near me yet but hopefully soon!
Absolutely one of my favorites from G3. I added two small glitter stars to her cheeks and some glitter nail polish for eyeshadow. I’m planning on chroming out some of the details on her boots, too.
I adore her so so much 😭😭😭😭 as someone who is also so insecure about her stomach, I teared up too when I saw the rolls and how her stomach wasn’t flat. She’s such a gorgeous doll and I’m so impatient for stores here in Canada to have her bc I *want* her so bad Also I actually prefer the glasses being blue, it being the complementary(?) colour to pink means it stands out more and breaks the monotony of the pink. But I get why most people prefer silver.

I found one catty once and didn’t get her then and I really quickly kicked myself because nothing has shown up since and that was like 2 weeks ago or so… I love her body shape and overall design so much that it hurts that I can’t find her.
I've been having the worst luck finding Catty in person too!! 😭 I keep almost breaking and getting her online to get her now but I'm trying to cut back and limit myself and only get them in person rn but it's sooo hard to not break that for her! Especially now seeing her body type more closely and her not being a short doll either (nothing against being short and fat it's still it's own hell, just as a tall and fat girl I've seen more rep in still being "smaller" in another way to almost "make up" for being fat) I feel just as emotional as you with this diva 🥺 Also I haven't felt the jacket yet so it could easily change but I feel like one of the few people who liked the jacket design, I love big girly pop bows and it fits her so well!! The other plastic bits could use a lot of paint but I feel like I have that mindset with most MH dolls, but the boots 100% should have been more silver than pink

I love that her outfit is so reminiscent of her G1 debut! It feels like a toned-down version of her stage outfit, and it's every bit as glamorous. Love that for her 💜😸
It’s amazing how much better she looks without the shrug! Like I loved the base doll but the shrug was making me thinking I didn’t want her but now I definitely want her! Also thank you so much for letting us know the shrug feels so horrid! I have sensory issues too so that is always something really good to know! I love they made a new body sculpt for her but agree that I hope she has more dolls so more details could go into further Cattys. I think with Catty and Venus before her they highlight a big flaw of the og Monster High line which was the lack of diversity. It is great to see but with the introduction of different body types I wish doll stands were still included because it is getting harder to find those that fit the new body molds. Catty's face is beautiful but I wish her outfit was better designed like some of the other redesigns such as Venus and Abbey. I am so happy she connects with you, also congrats again on the new house.
I know you're not playing up the sensory issue with Catty's jacket. Me and my husband both have autism and we have really bad sensory issues. He can't wear specific clothing. I have more issues with sounds (like the playstation startup music) and textures like the poly hair. We both feel almost physical pain and extreme discomfort when we experience these triggering textures. It's real and really annoying. People who don't experience it never understand and always think it's a joke. I plan to remake the little jacket with different fabrics cotton or lame fabric. I'll sell them in my etsy shop for other people to enjoy too. Alexdollhausfashion is the name. I haven't gotten Catty yet tho. I'm in Australia and it takes like 3 months after you (America) get them for us to get them.

Catty is absolutely gorgeous! I might pick her up on sale or wait for the next Catty doll because I don't 100% vibe with her core outfit, but I love her so much. Plus sized dolls typically only widen the hips while keeping a flat tummy, which is a great body type to see in dolls, but Catty's tummy rolls are beautiful and something I've never seen before on a doll! I really hope her body mold gets reused too (I'm manifesting Operetta being plus sized if she ever gets introduced to G3). The day Catty came out and everyone started doing reviews on her I got a Jacy Masters doll. Jacy was from the Wild Hearts Crew doll line that Mattel released in 2019. Jacy is another plus sized doll and I had fun comparing her to Catty to see how much Mattel improved with sculpting plus sized dolls over the years. I do absolutely adore Jacy, she is beautiful and perfect!
I love Catty so so much honestly she is just so beautiful in every way 💖 Catty has been my absolute favorite character since her introduction, she means everything to me! I love that they made her this size as well, I'm so so happy to see the representation, it's long overdue (& the rolls like seriously they are an amazing addition!). I also love that her glasses makes her eyes slightly bigger when they're put on almost like she's wearing actual hyperopic glasses! It just makes me so happy on a personal level (cause we need more dolls with glasses honestly, younger children needs that representation and learn that wearing glasses is stylish and beautiful). I don't really like anything in her outfit except the boots but I'll redress mine for sure. Besides that she is basically perfect and I really hope mine will ship out soon. I need like 3 honestly but I'm too impatient to wait for her European release so had to get at least 1 early cause I mean it's Catty.
The whole reason why most things are cracked is because she's represented as bad luck, hence the number as well despite being reused from 13 wishes. I like the theme they were going for her but I absolutely cannot deal with her in that dress 😭 gurl needs her hair down and a restyle.
I rlly feel like they did catty so dirty w that outfit-it looked SOO gorgeous in the concept art but then they took out alot of good elements like the puffy sleeves, silver boots, black belt etc etc At least we get to see some truly outstanding restyles for her
She design wise is my favorite of G3 I found her today, only one and I found her in the towel section of Wal Mart so I knew she had to come home . Got her home, and I love love love love her! I love Black Cats and she is amazing plus I am a big queen and big queens unite !

But Burger King solved that problem lol . I wish they would have given her like a cape instead of the plastic fluff thing they gave her. I think they were going Lizzo Met gala a year or so ago she had a full wrap and it could easily have been done, but I think they were concentrated on her body sculpt which I love.

I also love her dress without the belt - it's just so chunky and another pink color - there are so many. I love her more and more looking at her now. I like catty’s sheet music book 📖 I just wish it was made of plastic similar to Twyla book from neon frights. I mean so many of the paperboard accessories from g1 were recreated in plastic for g3 so I think it should have followed suit. The only piece I don’t like is that bow shrug, maybe if it was made from different materials it would look better. All the other accessories have great sculpts they just need better or really more painted details. Her boots really miss the mark in highlighting the beauty of the sculpt.

Yeah I love the idea of her music book but the paper just…didn’t work. Even if it had been packaged more carefully it would have been better
